I was cheap and just got the inside part of the mount $19 on Amazon. What an amazing difference!, I think my car was vibrating since I got it 6 years ago. It's a completely different car. It took me literally maybe 30 to 40 minutes.
Thank you SO much! My wife had her car at the dealership for a post-accident repair, and they told that she needed to have the motor mount replaced. Can you believe the quoted her $778 for this repair?! After a trip to O'Reilly ($110), 15 minutes of labor from the time I drove on the ramps and stabilized the motor, a ratchet, two extensions, and two sockets, this was done-- with all tools put away! You are awesome! My wife's car is a 2016 Ford Escape.

This is great video & helpful for non mechanical person like me BUT for me, it didn't go as planned, when I took off the old mount, the motor shifted back several inches even though I had it supported with jack. First I thought part was wrong but it aligned same as old part & broke down calling my very expensive mechanic, he couldn't offer me help other than telling me to get crowbar & rock motor back/forth. Unfortunately, I didn't have that but walked the neighborhood dug up street sign & found a few 2x4's which all helped me move the engine back in position with also some repositioning of the jacks. After 3hrs, I got it installed & seriously feels like I'm driving a brand new car & my 2012 Focus has 160K mi. Thank you for this video. My next issue, since last week I get warning my Hill Assist is off & now 4-5X each day it warns me to check it. I might change some fuses but can you offer some more free advice. Thank you!
sorry you had those issues .. but yeah that happens sometimes and best thing to do is just that force it back .. GLAD you got it fixed and can feel the difference .. have you tried unplugging the battery just to reset the codes (or clearing the code) just to make sure the code comes back?
Same here in Colombia(South america), the Ford's dealer service it' a robbery. I bought the hole suspension replacement for an Escape 2013 on ebay, i saved a lot a money including taxes and shipping to Colombia, i trust my mechanic for this job, take care...
Good morning, are you a mechanic ? I need the mounts replaced on mine and these shops are ridiculous the prices. Meinke is $923, this shop called Taylor Auto is $546 and the high dealership is $700. I am still checking around to see who can do it cheaper.
Mine is a 2016 powershift, I noticed that in addition to the coolant reservoir, there is also an AC pipe going on top of the engine mount. I guess it makes it a bit harder to pull off.
They always make it look so easy on videos lol but this actually doesn't look too bad. At least you don't gotta do too much underneath where you can't see or get to anything. I suspect this may be an issue I've been having. Vibration or rattling sounds coming from the dash.
Question : what happens if the whole stud comes out when taking out those top bolts ? I saw some other videos where the full stud came completely out. But not enough info on what to do if that happens. And what size that Torx Star is to tighten them back in. Thank you 🙏

I get clunks when changing gears mainly 2nd and 3rd abd 4th gear. I had clutch and flywheel changed but still does it. Would this stop clunking I have oil leaking out if my engine mount now as well

Just did this on mine. However, the symptoms were a rubbing sound coming from the passenger front wheel whenever I turned the steering all the way to the right. Wheel was rubbing on transmission i believe.

I took my 2014 focus in for some recalls and then they call telling me my front motor mount needs to be replaced and it’s gonna cost me $260 so I’m like nope I’ll order the parts and do it myself!
They tried this to me at the Galpin ford dealership in CA and tried to tell me my transmission mount and engine mount passenger side was shot out, 89,000mi odo on 2015 ford focus se. Tried to tell me $510 before taxes for both mounts. Rip off. Ordered them myself thank You!!

My focus is vibrating alot recently, so I changed the transmission and rear motor mount, the engine mount I didn't change it because it doesn't look bad or anything, it doesn't have oil leaking, but the car even with the 2 new mounts is still vibrating alot, could the engine mount be the cause of this? My car has 47k miles.
Super interested in replacing my mount now but one quick question would this be the issue while is accelerates and it also spudders when shifting or it shakes when shifting and its more common at that point
Could be the transmission shudder recall if it's an auto. I had mine replaced and it fixed that issue. The sputtering could be from the purge valve recall also cuz it creates a vacuum leak and it'll eventually make the car stall at red lights.

I've 2016 Focus SE 2.0L GDI Flex fuel . engine . Can someone tell me if loose timing band will bend rods and valves ? One says yes another says no way . What's the truth ?? verry hard to find a good mechanic
What was vibration only under load? Mine vibrates under heavy load but as soon as you let off, it’s really smooth again. I think I may have the same problem.

Would this be fairly easy to diy if you're not well experienced? Asking for a friend lol I know how to tighten and Loosen screws/bolts,uts etc. But I've never done something like this. Or should i just take it to a mechanic?
It’s not a difficult job. Some thing to make sure to watch out for is .. Not damage the oil pan when raising/supporting the engine and I believe there is a AC Lline you also need to watch out for

I believe that's part of the "timing chain cover" so I think if you replace that you would be good.

Ford kuga is same apart from its got 2 hoses to the front and back of the expansion tank!

what state are you in? they are telling me 3 motor mounts is like $1400, california.
Just did the same thing here in GA, transmission clutch replaced again and gas tank purge valve recall checked. Quoted $278 for engine mount

My bottom left bolt on my mount 2013 focus goes in but before it bolts all the way down flush it gets stuck. . My right bolt goes in fine.

Well replacing the timing cover where the upper motor mount bracket is a part of was a pain to do but got done 😬
