      No problem man! Really appreciate your comment. I probably should be pushing my channel more in the intros, but when it comes to instructional videos, I know nobody wants to waste their time with that kind of stuff. That's actually one of the reasons I started my channel, I got so sick and tired of seeing hour long videos that I had to skip through just to find information

    This video was pretty helpful, thanks for the torque specs, much appreciated. Took me about 20min. Didn't take the undertray completely off, just used the jack under it. PB blaster helped prevent the 18mm nuts from pulling the studs out. I also didn't have to pop out the whole coolant reservoir, just lifting the front clip up gave me enough room to slide the mount out. My car feels like new again, no vibrations at all.

    Thank you for this. I recently developed a loudness/vibration when cruising at 1500 rpm and lightly at idle. In research I found this video and checked the mount in my car and sure enough it's covered in oil (looks exactly like the one in the video). Makes sense. About $60 for the mount at my local O'Reilly and I'll replace the mount. Great info!

    Could this be the source of cabin vibration in general?

  • @mrtjdodd
    @mrtjdodd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Don't bother with only replacing the top part of the motor mount or using an aftermarket mount unless you like doing things over. They fail in under a year plus they don't get rid of the vibration completely. Buy the factory one piece ass'y like he said. It will completely eliminate the vibration and last much much longer. Yes it cost a little more but It is money well spent. This is one of those parts you don't want to skimp on. Good luck.

Thought to do alternator, water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, and tensioner, coolant sensor with motor mount replacement too with new plugs and plug coils . • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah I forget if I mentioned in this video or not but you have to make sure that the studs are fully seated before tightening in the nuts back down. I had a guy at my work once pull one of the suds straight out because it was only in a few threads when he tightened the nut down. We were able to tap it and save the threads though.
