As a Ducati owner, if I had to commute 60 miles for work on my bike, I'd pick the Yamaha. My 1100 is temperamental in water and cold weather. I love it but it's a 'relationship' with my Ducati more than it is a 'I own you, you are my motorcycle and will do what I say' type of thing.

The 17-21 MT10 can be had for a bargain ($8-9k) which is pretty wild for how much bike you get. That plus the reliability and Yamaha's 20 year / 100k mile engine warranty (if you use Yamalube for the engine oil) makes the MT a pretty compelling package.

I went from an fz1 bare bone built bike to an Mt 10 1 cuz of the sound right. Somewhat familiarity. I didn't think the Suzuki or Kawasaki or Hondas we're as cool. I like the led running lights. I got black was told it looks like the bat bike lmao. But overall it was a powerful bike that I love the tc on because I can actually go a lot faster and get better launches with wc on as well. Typically I ride tc 1 and wc 3 though. Up to 145 which is about what I'd hit on the fz1 but the fz1 was sketch on Metzler rear and battle-ax front. My one complaint about the Mt10 is the air intakes scoop up too much air making cornering a little awkward at first or on windy days. overall I think the platform has a lot of modifying capability. Personally I like the regular adjustable suspension as well as what crossplanes are capable of especially the Yamaha. I think I'll do a rear extension for stability, exhaust, bigger windshield, and that would be good as well as a 100mph first gear because 80 comes too quick. Otherwise if I really wanted to compete with higher end bikes I'd just turbo it.

    • @r.i.p2464
      @r.i.p2464 ปีที่แล้ว

Specs aren't close. Sf will destroy the mt10 in a straight line but! For what the sf is? i think it's a little too ambitious. Mt10 felt more natural. You have to test ride both of them yourself. That kind of power doesn't belong in a naked bike.
(Edit) my bad! You're asking about the v2. I haven't tried the v2 but i reckon it's gonna be slower but better. I'm pretty sure with 2 bigger pistons rather than 4 smaller ones, torque is gonna be where it needs to be and power is... Least to be desired but you don't really need too much power on a naked bike.

With the Yamaha if I overtook a car you never quite knew if it was going to wheelie or not, fine if you like that sort of thing, me I’d rather just get past and with the Ducati it’s much more predictable and goes like a rocket when you want it to 👍 and it just looks fantastic.

I loved GSX1000S more than CB1000R and MT10 (all stock) 2022 models (well MT10 was looking like brandon one, so maybe not the latest, as it was in february). That said, it was also because of stock sound, and aesthetic. But MT10 was fun. Now a buddy bought newest tuono V4 2022, so i gotta let him ride it a bit before asking to steal it for a joyride :p but that will happen for sure XD
And that said, for road and all, i felt like all of them were too much for here in europe. I mean, sure you can play hide and seek with cops, but you are still barely using the bike fully. And i rather get maybe a smaller one like Tuono 660, GSX8S, CB650R... I rode MT07, CB650, duke 890 (not gp one just 100hp one), Street triple R, and Tuono 660.. and i felt way more playfull and using more bike without beeing frustrated. And also, they are a lot cheaper to use, ensure and maintain wich is something, that should be accounted for. TBH, i was hoping for a mini GSX1000, suzuki delivered and i can't wait to try it and who knows, replace/complete my yamaha Fazer 600S1 :)

    My first bike - a 2021 MT-09.
    My second bike - a 2022 Streetfighter V4S.
    Absolutely no regrets. 😆

But as standard, they are very different bikes.
MT-09 is jumpy, fairly quiet and feels super reliable.
Streetfighter is very stable, refined, beautiful and so much better to look at. Definitely very noisy even as standard.

I don’t know. Molested MT10s in my area go for 10k or more. New MT10s get bought up faster than a Penguins taint.

It’s divisive for sure, but I absolutely love the cocaine fueled Michael Bay Transformer look the newer MT lineup has.

Torque over powa all day every day.
To each their own of course.
BTW, like most modern motorcycles, both look shite from the front.
    Retro is soooooo much better.

It never ceases to amaze me how irresponsible the laws are in regards to new riders getting access to such high powered motorcycles. Australian laws have had requirements to have lower powered bikes for your first year for over 20 years to stop people from killing themselves

Your comparing 208hp to 160hp lmao, of course the SFV4S is faster and better suspension but can’t go wrong with either bike… I would have to track the SFV4S or else I feel like I’m wasting my money riding around in 2nd & 3rd on the street 🤦🏾‍♂️

MT10. How much do you save on maintenance. A ton!!. This is simple Yamaha all day every day. I'm really thinking of getting one But I'll keep my FZ1 . Neve4 get rid of it. Guess I'm an OLD fan boy.

I dunno, being a complete reckless moron, the winglets are a good and can be felt even at lower speeds.... One with and one without, you will feel a change in how light the front is and how hard it is to change directions.... But hell, those are spidey senses, and while riding a bike like a sane person, winglets won't do anything.... But you can feel them from even lower than 60mph... I'd go for an V4S, but that's because the MT10 looks really bad
