  • Longines Hydroconquest- Don’t Buy a Rolex Submariner Before Watching This
    The longines hydroconquest is a piece of art and an affordable Swiss luxury timepiece. For only $1500, you can get a watch that is very similar to the Rolex submariner for both its looks and quality. Longines is an awesome brand that makes some real killer watches.

    It’s hard not to appreciate how elegant the style of thisLlongines is.
    Its a dive watch with an almost extreme look and guarded crown, yet it has that kind of design that makes it perfect even for diving into social occasions.

    I bought my non-ceramic 44mm automatic version a week ago. This is my 1st automatic watch. Great one! I was not expecting this level of accuracy. I wear it 0-24h and at the moment it runs -0.5sec/day. I do check the accuracy on a daily base with watch check app. Mine is one of the latest factory releases and it is already equipped with the upgraded movement with silicone balance spring - 5 years guarantee.

    Something that doesn't get much discussion is the dial on the different Hydroconquest models. The smaller and larger sized versions have a rather simple dial with circular hour markers and the large 6, 9 and 12 numerals. Then the 41 mm version can come with that same 'simple' dial (quartz version) as well as a busier dial with the same circular hour markers, large 6, 9 and 12 and additional hour markers inside the circles. Both can be seen in this video. The bezel also features more markers and gold numbers on the 41 mm 2-tone PVD models, while the other sized models have white digits, even on 2-tone models. As much as I typically prefer a 'less is more' design, I really like the additional dial markers and the bezel arrows instead of the simpler version. What about you?

    Because of it's pedigree, I don't consider the Longines entry level. The manufacturer has been around a long time. It's the Audi of the watch world.

    I bought one with the L88.2 auto movement (modified 2892.2) about a week ago. Beautiful watch. Impecible execution. +6 seconds per day consistently in all positions. 72 hour power reserve. Looks as good as Rolex or Tudor. Swarch group purposely kept the price to around $1,700 so as to not hurt Omega sales. This watch is the equal in terms of quality to watches costing twice as much. I have been a watch nerd since I was 9 years old. Don't be put off because the cost is reasonably low. Although $1,700 for a dive watch rated to 1,000 feet is not exactly cheap in my book. Great watch period.

    I have ceramic 43mm hydroconquest automaitc. i forgot my longines near the Ipad magnetic cover, pencil and airpod box together on the table. It started +16 sec daily fail after this point last month... I ordered antimagnetic box from Aliexpress and applied 3 times.. Now, its reduced to +8 sec daily... If you have this type of issue.. you can use antimagnetic box first.

    Please be accurate and faithful, the movement is not in-house, it is a customised ETA workhorse.

    • @OneLordeAnimeClips
      @OneLordeAnimeClips ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s a custom ETA movement that only Longines uses, and Swatch owns Longines.
      So not “in-house” in the traditional sense, but also not completely “foreign”.

      @silentbobmarley, I bought the quartz in 44mm in black and it's brilliant!
      Quartz is less expensive to maintain and extremely accurate, as only stops when the battery has died (1 year later and still going strong)!
      Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

    It doesn’t check the box of having symmetry...the number “3” they removed leaving a huge blank space on the right side to put a tiny little date box that nobody needs on it. Watch companies are listening to the wrong people, you don’t need a date on the watch that you have to set on there yourself when you’re rotating watches.

    • @paulsmithchannel
