Yes, as everyone said, he was a "pacer". But note well: at the Olympics, ALL athletes must go through qualifying Heats, Semis, then the Final. So, NO PACERS. (Unless a Country has managed to get more than one runner into the Final and one agrees to sacrifice themselves to be an unofficial pacer to best help their Countryman. eg. In Championship races that required qualifying heats, often the great Hicham El Guerrouj, current WR holder in Mile, would have a fellow Countryman pace him to ensure the race was fast which served Hicham best) But in normal Championship races, not having pacemakers results in having a tactical race, often referred to as a "Sit... and sprint". In most cases, with middle and long distance Track races, the times are not "fast" as no one wants to sacrifice themselves to be a pacer that everyone sits on. Often then the person with the best "finishing kick", wins. Cheers.

Final 109m:
Kerr: 14.42
Jakob: 14.49
Nuguse: 14.71
Hocker: 15.52
So what’s the speed of these crazy humans?
What was Zack Hample's time?
Post injury the man in the second place... Imagine in Paris
Waow impressive
So disappointed with Cram etc...even on the home straight all about Jakob! Kerr not given enough credit as World Champion by our own commentators! Poor show. The race itself was phenomenal and a complete joy to watch..👏👏
Mighty run by Kerr
"Let's hand it to Ingebrigtsen". Hand what to him? What did he do that was great or courageous?
Jakob is still the one they all have to beat in the 1500 meters at the Olympics in July.
I'm a huge Jakob fan, I'm hoping the best for jakob for the other races.
I wanted him to win so bad.
Jakob is winning the gold. A lot of time until August. Kerr is the best in the world in May which doesn’t mean Jack
Just shut up. Kerr owns him... twice now, to be exact. Get off your hands and knees.
@@Tritiuminducedfusion if Kerr would have lost I would say the same thing about Kerr. Having the target on your back is very challenging in the 1500m. In running it’s much easier to be the one building and chasing than maintaining.
@@Tritiuminducedfusiondamn dude you need to chill.
@@Tritiuminducedfusion I can’t wait to post this receipt in August
@@Tritiuminducedfusion Twice.. LOL Jakob has beaten Kerr so many times. this is a ridiculous statement.
It seems he’s been found out, one trick pony
