FYI! For those coming here, leaving comments when I do not recognize your name & pretending that you always watch - then go on to say that this is all assumption. What is assumption that a child was married to an adult? What is assumption that women in this culture are bartered and traded by men? None of that is assumption. The thing is Cody didn’t know Janelle when they were married when her and Adam were married, they were only married I guess for six months it was while he was on his mission and the other thing is I don’t think they do it as much in the AUB but a lot of times women and children are taken from the men and assigned to other men. It’s a pretty common practice so it wouldn’t have been uncommon for a woman to be with one man and then another man.
Here’s my theory… Some of the Brown children claim they always felt Meri was the “favorite” wife prior to Robyn. I honestly feel that they may have been true. And Robyn knew that and planted seeds to make sure Kody & Meri’s marriage slowly crumbled. (Ex: allegedly being behind the catfish incident)..Paedon said that Robyn was the one to point out that what Meri was allegedly doing was abusive to some of them and helped to “stop the abuse”. I truly think Meri was way more strict than Christine and Robyn helped manipulate some of the kids to think it was abuse. I think it’s really weird that Mykelti goes to live with Robyn, was closest to Robyn and is the child who seems to have the most disdain for Meri. Once Robyn helped ruin Meri’s position in the family she moved on to Christine. Since Janelle & Kody were admittedly platonic, there wasn’t much of a threat there.
Actually, I believe Christine became the favorite. She said many times that 'she didn't feel special anymore'. Which means at least some time before Robyn appeared...she felt special.
Could be true.. I think at different moments throughout the seasons they all had their share at being the “favorite”.. But a couple of Christine’s kids shared that in their perspective they felt Kody favored Meri prior to the show.. Just a theory though so 🤷🏻♀️

I 100% believe that Robyn identified Mykelti as the "black sheep" of the family and preyed on her insecurities around that.
She took Mykelti under her wing and used her as a way to ingratiate herself to the older children.
What does Kody do? He doesn't work full time, he wasn't over at the wive's hones unless it was the evening. He did not pay for many of their homes, did not pay for insurance, did not pay for child support and was rarely intimate. He was a deadbeat Dad and Husband. He did the absolute least any spouse could do.
Funny that robyns sister has 11 kids and still has to work to pay bills and robyn has 5 kids and nannies and still doesn't have to work 🤦♀️🤷♀️

I noticed with Janelle and the trailer and with Christine when Gwen got her car stuck in the mud out on CP, kody didn't want to be bothered. He wanted to leave asap. He even said out on CP, I should get a tractor out of this.
Meri was so impressed that Jen's husband helped around the inn and washed her car. Meri said it has been a really long time sense kody helped her in any way.
Kody is a very lazy person. And, cannot be bothered. No wondered sobyn said she never asked kody to do anything around the house.
So her “dad” on the show is her step dad - makes him being at the birth of her kids a little more creepy than it already was 👀

There is a community in southern BC Canada called Bountiful that is a polygamist community where Warren Jeffs would hide young women. It’s on the US border with Idaho/Montana. At one time they thought Warren Jeffs himself was hiding there to avoid contact with the US law. The reach of the FLDS is farther than just the US. There are border crossings but girls could easily walk across the border. Lots of open land.

Robyn must be really MESSED UP her words because she was that woman that went into a plural lifestyle wanting only Kody to make her solely his wife. Kody didn't care why she left. It was all an excuse he made up to criticise Christine.
I think Robyn wanted the family.....Kody and the sister wives......but like u said she wanted specific things, not to work, be famous, money to support her spending. Like u said she acted in a specific way to manipulate Kody in order to have the things she wanted. Problem is, once the acting started, Kody who had more of a physical attraction to Robyn, got clingy with her and withdrew from the other wives.
She made these concessions while courting. He didn’t drive 5 hours to hold hands. She had him hooked right away. He agreed to whatever she laid down. And if the head of the household wants it that way, then it will be that way. That’s how Robyn justifies it. Kody does what Kody does. She just manipulates it.

I agree with you that it may not have been Robyn's initial plan to come in and specifically aim to destroy the family, but I think she misjudged how well the other wives would hang on to be supply for her desires. I do believe her intent was to come in and break down the status quo -- to become the head wife. She did monopolize Kody and didn't give a flip about the effects on the other wives or children. That is breaking down relationships.
I can see it in her power plays and how she dominates, manipulates, and abuses. When she doesn't immediately get her way or compliance, she is gone and takes all the marbles with her. As in the phone conversation regarding gift giving at Chrristmas. She must be in charge. She is very dominating and controlling. It is obvious.
So I'm not surprised to hear she blows up and gets physical and threatens Kody. (Not that Kody didn't bring it all into the family.) Robyn in my opinion has an abusive personality. At the center of the wheel of abuse handed out to domestic violence victims is Power and Control the central drivers of abuse.
Robyn definitely came in to dominate and control. It's either her way or the highway. However, Robyn's drive to consume and monopolize Kody's time, especially with sex takes this to a whole different level. This is high level manipulation and I don't believe it has to do with any brainwashing over Robyn by a cult which she never showed any signs of following. I believe this has more to do with Robyn's base personality.
I don't believe Robyn is a victim in the way you describe as a result of being exposed. One reason is because she resisted polygamy and married someone who didn't want plural marriage. She doesn't like to share.
And the sex was to keep Kody under her control and to break down the other relationships with wives and kids. To have it all for herself. I think if you could look directly into Robyn's true motives and mind, you would be traumatized by shock. She uses polygamy for her ends, but she is not convinced of polygamy. She plays as another part of her chess game. Even on us.
100%!! She wanted the other wives, in name ONLY; and never cared one whit about any children besides her own. (IF you can really call what she has done to them, "caring".) She realized, after @#$& Preston and his family over financially, that one man could not support her material lust. I think she grew up on the fringes of polygamy, and saw that as a means to an end. Heck no, she didn't want the other women to LEAVE, she just didn't want to share a Kidney with them!

I'm really curious about what some of the older kids like Logan really think about the situation with Robyn and their dad, since they were old enough to be aware of what was going on, to some degree at the beginning. Most of his sons really tried to get out of dodge and away from the family. Logan did his darndest to separate himself, then most of the others joined the military. The one that really tried to keep a relationship as an adult- Gabe, who didnt go into the military was pushed away and largely ignored.
What does Dayton/David think now, too, that they are at odds?
