Kody and Robyn not only took money from the OG 3 and those children but cost them so much money in having them sell their Vegas homes, homes that in a short 5 year period doubled in value, their money taken for the McMansion and no homes were ever intended to be built for the other wives, both are horrible people.

Whilst the video was on prospective perjury, the overall theme was how vile the AUB is to women and how badly the men treat the women - and especially how manipulative and dishonest Kody is. I think that's what people are picking up on and agreeing with you by sharing the things they've seen on the show that correspond to those factors.
At least that's what I'm seeing developing as some of these comments become conversation threads. I know you've had some dodgy commenters recently, so understand why you're concerned, but I suspect that these ones are genuine - as they are agreeing with you and not defending the AUB in any way👍

@@WithoutACrystalBall No, I think we just get sick of how much K&R used the family with the intention to cast them aside when the show ended, I don't think they ever thought there would be a spike in popularity, the way it turned out we couldn't wait to see them leave and that's what it took.
So, Janelle agreed to patriarchy when they got together. Well, Kody agreed to polygamy when they got together. When he chose Robyn over his other wives, all the other agreements went out the window. I'm sure Janelle didn't expect to be the family cash cow either. Sorry Kody, you can't have your cake and eat it too. But of course, he doesn't recognize his responsibility in any of his problems.
If you’re the head of the household and the patriarch, then you should have full time employment and support your wives and children, emotionally and financially. Kody never did that, he acted more like a pimp and he lived off all of the money from his wives (excluding lazy Sobyn Robyn).
Technically, he's taking Robyn's and their kids' checks from appearing on the show. He just shares the wealth with them for now.

I have issues with how Christine acted when Ms Decker was on the Sister Wives Show.
I hear you. Now that I’ve heard more about the behind-the-scenes of that episode-it really makes me mad at TLC. They were really trying to stir up drama. Kristyn goes into detail about it in an interview with Katie. In this video, Katie mentioned how the other speakers felt disregarded. Colleen and another young man were there with Kristyn. Imagine going to speak to advocate for freedom from oppression and then getting attacked. I can see clearly now that TLC was trying to carefully control the conversation in an effort to make polygamy look like it doesn’t enslave women.

(I've seen some older ones/lives that you did, that would qualify...) They will have overlaps, of course, but you could make reference to specific SW videos for folks to see, if they are interested, yet not combine the scenes/pics of SW content specifically.
For example, in a video like this, you could reference, "such as the video about the Dargers, Browns, etc., but make it more broad. This one was a challenge in that regard, b/c it did specifically refer to KBs b.s., but maybe I made it make sense...🤷♀️

I think these women signed the contract because they need the revenue stream/income. We don't know when they last signed contracts, how long they're contracted for. They may leave the show once contracts are up. People are still watching so TLC is going to keep it going because it's profitable. I just hope Meri, Janelle, Christine, and even Robyn find true happiness & can enjoy their lives. I pray the children are well adjusted & truly happy in their lives.
As an individual who was raised mainstream LDS- I'm going to state that Joseph Smith started all this bs because he was a a predator who was taking advantage of a minor girl who worked in his household. He was revered by his followers & took advantage of this position of power & authority. He made claims that God lived closest to a planet/moon/something in space called Kolob. The mainstream LDS church is fouling themselves by thinking they're better than the fundamentalists groups, when they're open doctrine states they'll practice polygamy in heaven. They're all a train wreck of lies and deceit- LDS, FLDS, AUB, The Order (Kingston Clan/David County Coop), etc etc etc.
Also all Mormon/LDS religions & branches of it have patriarchy at their roots, women are lower than men in the hierarchy of the religious doctrine!!

I think you are right, of course. I had the impression that Christine was in therapy while still with the Kidney; and that was partly why she had the courage to leave. I may have just assumed that, idk. If so, I hope she stuck with it.
@@buffys3477 I got the impression, given her family's status in the AUB, that Christine grew up somewhat more privileged and pampered than perhaps the 'average' polygamous family. Just a vibe I have gotten from various input. But you're right; either way, she put up with the Kidney for all those years, earnestly believing she was doing it for "the family/kingdom", I suppose. Just the pressure relief from living that way, will provide more perspective as time passes, and good, healing vibes!

I left Polygamy because of the patriarchy and the unrighteous dominion that has become so normalized
His statement that Janelle agreed to bend her will to his made me sick. I was also told, in my marriage, that I had to submit to him... even if I knew for myself that what he wanted me to do was wrong. Women are often treated as brainless sheep who are there to do what the man wants her to do. There are a few examples of successful polygamous families, but they are few and far between.
Yes! This makes sense. It took me about ten years after my divorce to unravel the depths of the deception in my marriage - a relationship that lasted about ten years. And still, more than 20 years later, new levels occasionally surface. I'm intelligent, clever, and empathic, and still, a narcissist's methods were so complex to disclose. Okay, I come from a dysfunctional family of origin, which made me an easy target, but it's been hard to admit how duped I was. Looking back, it's embarrassing to realize the things I believed. I see my marriage as a low-member cult now, which makes it easier to go easier on myself.
So, of course, these women who grew up in this, and even Janelle, who grew up in LDS, had from childhood been raised to believe Joseph Smith's fairytale would have a background that would make it easy to convince her. This isn't for you, Kate - you understand the depths, and although it's sometimes frustrating to see and hears the lies the "wives" contributed - and contribute - to continue, you keep reminding yourself and us of the impact of growing up in a cult, where when in doubt, there would be numerous people to convince them that the doubt was an impact of the devil. Sometimes, this frustration comes out - as it should - because the deeper structure needs disclosing. Still, you keep coming back to the culty power and layers of deception and remind us that it takes time to unravel. This is for all of those who look at it from the outside and can't understand why not everybody sees what you see. Well, you don't see the underlying indoctrination, and you don't understand how the invisible nervous system has become another development for those growing up in relatively safe environments. This isn't as black and white as it seems.
So, please, stop judging. Stop judging the women, but most of all, the kids. They have lived a lifetime being convinced that they are not supposed to believe what they deep down have when their bodies signaled that something was off. They need time to unravel, preferably together with someone skilled to guide them. We see evidence that they do come forward with transparency when they realize what they've been through. The hardest part is to admit how they, too, have contributed - a lot of toxic shame will come up. They need people who believe in them as human beings. If we attack them and criticize them, their defense system will slow down their healing. So, be patient with them - all of them. They need time and space to feel safe enough to look at their past with clearer eyes and minds.

The reason why these shows get canceled is not because they actually care about people… It’s because the public finds out. And that case was so low-key that no one ever knew about it. So TLC decided to continue on with the show, because I promise you, they knew about it. But they decided that if the public doesn’t make, a big stink about it then we’re fine making our money. That’s stuff makes me so angry. I left my ex-husband because of all of these very reasons. And I’m from a small town and so people chose Sides… And I was the one that was made to look like, I was leaving a good man. Which is laughable. I left an abuser. And it’s not like itends there. It never ends. He’s brought me back to court for the third time this time and called child protective services on me and we’ve only been divorced for 4 1/2 years. The gift that keeps on giving.

Yep, they can be pretty dangerous. I lived in a small town, also; had a restraining order against my (now) ex. The police were on the lookout for his vehicle coming into town. I had to move away from the family farm, and rented a house in town, owned by the Chief of Police. That didn't last long. Come to find out, the creep had been in my house several times while I was @ work, and HAD TO DRIVE RIGHT PAST THE COP SHOP TO GET THERE!!

Lying is the easy part for cody that’s what he’s been doing to his own family for years so I’m not surprised that he would purger himself on the stand to play another audience.
I just watched that episode where Kristen appeared and I thought Christine was over the top ridiculous while Kristen seemed rational and level-headed. Maybe that wasn't the intent. I just thought that Kristen and the others on her side came off looking better.

I remember the episode where kristyn Decker was there and she was so disrespected. Im sure we didnt see the half of it, they seemed to highlight Rob em and her nastiness. Kristyn Decker has devoted so much time to help the victims of poligimy and uts just not right that she was treated terribly.
I’ve been super impressed with all of your content and even tho I only escaped my drug addicted /alcoholic mother (I’m her first born and only victim) and the Al Anon cult I’m still learning a lot about cult behavior and how to identify it. A righteous patriarch isn't a "my way or the highway" bully who leads with an iron fist. A true patriarch provides and protects. He loves his wife and children, emotionally supports them and encourages them to reach their full potential. He never dictates but counsels with his wife and reaches decisions that are mutually agreed upon. He puts the best interests of those he loves above his own wants. Kody isnt a patriarch...he's a selfish, narcissistic bully.
