You guys were meant to be in each other's lives for that season. It's a healing and learning journey and I'm sure you both are in much better places because of it.
This is actually a cute story. Glad you kept an open mind. During the pandemic, I met someone on a dating app who was living in Iran. He always said it would be impossible to ever leave his country due to his nationality. We developed feelings for each other but have only become close friends because of other circumstances. However, he lives in Europe now and is pursuing his doctorate degree. Situations are constantly changing and it's always good to be open to everyone because you never know- they may be the one to help you out one day 😉
Love this story! Absolutely, I feel like dating isn’t always about finding “the one” but just the one you enjoy for that period of time. Glad you both can pursue your goals outside of a dedicated relationship 🤗
Girl😂😂. I get soo mad at how naive women are. These guys know exactly what they are doing. Late 20s? Women Cant afford to be soo lacklustre with dating. These guys know exactly what they are doing. The thing that annoys me the most is that these guys then come to girls who actually have much higher standards and get confused when we don’t even make it past a couple of messages on dating apps 😂 Guys need to have money. Sorry. Not sorry. Coffee date was the first red flag those men tend to be cheap 😂😴
Aw Jacy 😂 This was hilarious with all those red flags, but I'm glad that you guys had a lot of fun during your relationship and that you ended things well. 🙂
We as women should respect unattractive men without money more. First step could be not to hang out with them just because we're bored and call it "dating". Because if you're not attracted to someone, it is not really dating.
This 👍 I feel like what she describes are things we do with friends. I think it would be difficult not to form an attachment with someone you were building memories and getting physical with (I assume that was involved as well).
Always love your story times! 😄 I would be curious to know if you ever confronted him about why he didn’t have updated pictures of himself on his profile? 🤔
Haha wow the amount of hoops you jumped through before the child bomb. I can definitely relate though with the pandemic part, I for sure got into a relationship with the same feeling of almost a level of trauma bonding, so no judgement. Wonderful story!
Trauma bonding is a great way to put it, and shows it doesn’t make for a lasting relationship by any means. Sorry you can relate lol, but glad you enjoyed the vid!
You just made me feel better about all the guys I shouldn't have dated but did! I'm about twice your age and there weren't any dating sites back then, and I was too cautious to date anyone I met in a club, so that left school, work, or fix-ups. I liked older guys, and they all came with baggage and didn't want a commitment...but they all were able to pay for our dates...lol! I ended up marrying a co-worker with no baggage, and is a bit younger, when I was 36. There's a moral to this story somewhere in there...lol!
Haha love this story Laurie 😂 online dating definitely widens the options, but it also means sorting through even more people with baggage lol. Glad it worked out well for you 🥰🥰
i went thru these same things before finding my husband. speaking and sticking for myself is something i still work on. sometimes you have to be honest no matter how it’ll come off! you have the power when you date! you are very sweet tho ❤😂
Knew there's a reason this popped up on my feed a year later 😂 my bumble date threw the bug "oh I was married and have children" only to learn not only did he want me to travel with him to see his kids, but never mentioned again, but that he hadn't seen his own kids in 3 years 😅 boy would rather post selfies on his Insta to hide the growing guilt and shame he feels. He also lost me as a interest so quickly after a month, I have my own kids. Can't fathom why anyone would leave their own kids for that long. Shouldve seen the flag when it wasnt listed on his bio.😅 he still thinks he's gonna find his "juliet" 😢 but ... Juliet ain't gonna be a deadbeat enabler 😂😂
Just a note one Absinthe. Real Absinthe has wormwood in it which is illegal in the US. The Absinthe that is sold here doesn't contain wormwood and it is legal. So when you thought it was illegal you were kinda right but only the authentic kinda you can't get in the US. Moonshine was only illegal during prohibition that's just homemade liquor that's mass produced now.
I don't think it's wrong to have standards especially about money. I myself am financially indepent and provide a certain lifestyle for myself so I require a man to meet me where I am at at least. I have turned away men who make 6 figures because they were to cheap. Being financially compantible is huge. I have no regrets because I have avoided so many potentially bad situations.
I dont think the financial and breathalyzer is that uncommon.. but more red flags that came.. ;) the gaming.. but again, you were having fun and it wasn't serious. He sounds like a good guy really down on his luck.
This may sound mean but I don’t think people should date until they are financially independent. Like, why are you out here if you can’t afford to cover at least your own meal? I just feel like some sort of foundation/ job-career should be set before using/taking up someone else’s time.
“Dating” is getting to know another human being romantically. It doesn’t mean being obligated to go out to dinner. People who genuinely enjoy another person’s company are only concerned with spending time with that person in any setting
When you say you wanted someone financially stable to pay for dates did you mean to pay for you and him? And if so, why expect someone to pay for your part of the date if you just want a “companion” or “friend” to go out with if you aren’t looking for anything serious? Genuinely asking
Sorry for the double comment what does his fatherhood have tk do with you just wanting to hang out and go mini-golfing? Unless perhaps that is not the actual motivation.
Ok, I listened to this story and by it's conclusion, I have to say that you didn't come off so well. If you felt the guy lied and catfished you, why continue to see him? You found out about his child etc and made it clear it was a deal breaker, but still "dated" him for another year because of the pandemic and he helped you get through it because you were depressed. Then you say after that, that it didn't last. Which leaves one to wonder, once the pandemic was over, did you just drop him? You obviously thought this guy was good enough to keep talking to for your own means for an entire year, but you're still talking about how he was a liar and catfished you. Real talk, that's selfish. You used that man. Not cool. Not everyone is perfect, you should've dropped dude initially if that's how you felt about him.
@@JacyErin he stayed because he was attracted to you along with the possibility of sex. It’s why any man would go out on a date with any woman. If he were a man about his shit, first of all he wouldn’t have catfished you. Second he would’ve just walked away before spending $200 plus dollars on a date that never would’ve gone anywhere. Do not go on dates with men you are not physically attracted to. It’s a waste of their time, energy and money. If you do that, men will respond in kind because they would know you are not out to serial date men for free meals and girlfriend attention without having to do anything for him in return.
lol your first problem is looking for love online. so many people online arent their true selves. or just looking for flings and nothing serious. glad im a decade older than you and not into those things.
Congrats on 7k subscribers Jacy. He got really lucky that you weren’t looking for anything romantic from the jump. Cuz if you looked for a boyfriend, he probably wouldn’t have gotten a 2nd date. Hopefully… 🫣😂😂
You guys were meant to be in each other's lives for that season. It's a healing and learning journey and I'm sure you both are in much better places because of it.
Love that phrase! It was definitely a season we needed each other, but it was time to move on
I told my bf the first day we talked i had a kid. That’s super important to know about the person you’re dating
I agree! Because if it's an absolute deal breaker, you've wasted my time for 3 dates. Glad you were upfront, and that it worked out!!

You were way too nice girl 🤣🤣 Sometimes we have to be judgmental! 😂
Haha that’s fair 😂

Not me getting back into the dating app world and seeing this video. 😂
Just maintain your standards and be firm with what you’re looking for!
Aw Jacy 😂 This was hilarious with all those red flags, but I'm glad that you guys had a lot of fun during your relationship and that you ended things well. 🙂
Red flags up the wazoo, but at least I didn't entertain the relationship more than just casual dating 😂
@@JacyErin definitely, and you both enjoyed each other's company in the time so that was good

how about women respect themselves more by not going out with these losers to begin with

Jacy you just hit 7K!!! Congratulations hun 🥳🪅🎉🙌🏾 !!!!!!!! Sending much love from Texas 😘

I appreciate it Kyle!! More coming 🤗

love the way you tell your stories. ❤ from 🇬🇧

I dated someone with a breathalyzer and there was a camera in her car so they could check that she was actually the one blowing in it.
Bumble algorithm puts with people you really have nothing in common with.
You obviously met for a reason!!!! Helped each other through the pandemic!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🌏🌏🌏🙏🙏🌟🌟🌟💜💜💜

Ted lasso❤❤❤❤ you had me there. Now I need to rewatch it all. Great story there
He sounds nice, but just not the one. At least you were clear about that from the start!
That's the important part, defining expectations!

Wait that makes so much more sense! I thought something about it was illegal, so this is super helpful to know!!
Lmao Jackie I love your sarcasm 15:37
Women and men definitely have different expectations for ongoing date buddy. Men don't want to be a sometime date buddy without the sex.
Another storytime! 🔥😭

🤣😭😂 this was great!
JACY!! WHAT IS THE SPEAKEASY PLACE CALLED
I want to know too!?
It's possible "Adam" felt catfished for that exact reason(s).
Have to love California lol that’s crazy how you friendzone him and he was cool with it
your hairstyle remains me of the dutch football-star ruud gullit. take a look and see!
What a weird comment 🙃

What is his twitch handle? I want to know if I got a chance ;). No jail time and I have a gig.
You can date me. I promise not to catfish you. You are like the most beautiful woman on youtube.
He didn’t cat fish you though it was him it was just and overweight version of him I feel a catfish is using pictures that’s not even him

I don’t think that’s being catfished, still the same person but different time and weight 🤣
Don’t know if this is the real name or made up one, but you added a name around 7:30 FYI lol
Fun companion? Get a girlfriend or a dog. Don't waste a guys time.
