Okay I have so much to say, so many things to comment on this video. First of all - the structure was incredible. It started off with you sharing an unfortunate string of events in a ranty/comedic tone - and it ended off with you sharing the bigger picture, the lessons you learned - the person you’re becoming. I laughed, I cried and I pondered. You didn’t need to do or say anything extravagant or absurdly out of the ordinary to make it interesting. Although this was obviously an event that doesn’t happen all that often, it could’ve easily been a boring, complainy rant. To make an audience feel more than one emotion in a video where there’s no extra sound effects, music or gimmicks - but simply you sharing an experience is just. I think TH-cam is deprived of this as of late. This is true journalism Jacy (not that I know much about journalism but I think this is exactly what it should be). This is what TH-cam, and sharing your life online, blogging, storytelling is about. Sharing your life experience in a way that is nuanced and intriguing, providing perspective and showing raw, sparkling moments of growth. You are incredibly wise Jacy, and a talented storyteller. It baffles me that you’re not viral yet. You deserve a huge audience that would benefit so much from your stories and personality. Please always continue sharing your life and reflections with us - so long as it makes you happy.
Sorry your car got broken into. I'm glad you've found some positive perspectives in midst of such a negative situation. Many years ago my car was broken into and they didn't get anything of monetary value, but my high school diploma was in my car, they didn't steal it they took it and threw it in a puddle ruining it. That was more upsetting for me than losing anything else because it was so unnecessary and just mean for no reason. Some people just suck. I'm glad you took precautions to secure your home that is scary that they could know where you live. I would also suggest talking to your manager at the ice cream shop about not working alone especially after that lady got robbed nearby. Long ago when I worked at Blockbuster we were never allowed solo shifts because of the danger of being robbed and my store was robbed at gunpoint TWICE. This was like 15 years ago in LA seems like not much has changed.
Comparing your trauma with another person's trauma is not advised. YOU experienced a loss, that is yours. And that's ok. I had a similar mindset with PTSD, and saying that others had it worse and to have resources go to them, instead of me. What I'm saying is that getting burglarized is not something to down play. I'm glad that you were not there when it happened, and that you're physically okay. Also, new to the channel, love your other content :).
🤣🤣🤣 the dad voice-over has me in tears!!!! This would have been my Mom for sure!! So I totally understand the feeling of "I DON'T NEED THIS FROM YOU RIGHT NOW!! I NEED SOME LOVE AND SYMPATHY!!"
Ugh!! The world these days is so unkind! We used to be able to leave our beach bags with our money etc, on our blankets while we were swimming, car doors and house doors unlocked...just totally comfortable in the world as it was. How did the world get to be so unsafe...what happened?? I'm so sorry you had to experience that ugliness Jacy...I'll send my best positive vibes your way 🌠🌌
I like how you're looking at the positives of this. I almost teared up at the part about the little girl. And I laughed way too hard at your old license photo.
I’m sorry you had to go through this. I’m in So. Cal and I always do things like this so this is a good reminder for me to be vigilant. Glad you are ok.
Sorry you had to go through this. I remember when my phone was stolen from my bag when I was in high school. I was a volleyball player and we had a game. Me and my teammates put our bags on this table. My bag was the only bag that got burglarized. I was so mad. I love how your Dad said it’s an inconvenience that’s a great way to look at it. Hope things are looking up for you.
Don't blame yourself for those that seem to help themself take others property.. They always have choice to do the right thing but these type of people do this as a profession.. Dad rant audio was so funny.. That is normally the way Dads go about it even if you made the smallest mistake. Its a norm for some Dad because they really do care. I know you know this.. Great video... Good to see ya still smiling.😉😊💛
You're a beautiful girl. I was a California native for 33 years; I left LA in 2017, yet can relate to many of your videos. Hang in there, and be careful!!!! When I went to work out,I locked my wallet in my glove compartment (Mercedes). Post Covid, people are oppprtunistic and scamming.
Maaaaaaaannnn, so sorry you had so many inconveniences! Your quick story about getting your car broken into at the end reminds me of my Aunt. She always talks about how someone busted her window and stole her dollar store sunglasses. She really loved those shades!
I'm hearing your story & hear that your father & brother are there for you. I hear that you're feeling raw too. Be kind to yourself- it sounds like your going through a bit of the almost 3 0 blues. (Been there) Be super kind to yourself. May these new days bring you more peace. Stay safe! PS I recommend a clearing walk at the beach.
Jacy.. I'm so sad about this unfortunate robbery. What a terrible experience to lose not only money but sentimental things you cherished. You have a wonderful brother that gave you uplifting advise and I do believe that your life going forward will be so much better. Good Karma.. Please be safe and take good care of yourself. Love you..
This video, was "priceless". I've not felt the combination of 😥 and 🤣in such close succession, haha. Here's to all the good to come. Instant subscribe 🙌🏾
Thank you for sharing this & your reflection. I’ve been so stressed over situations that aren’t bad or life threatening & this made me realize that. Thank you 💕
I’m sorry all that happened to you. But I love listening to you recount true life events. I live vicariously through others - because the world just sounds too frightening. Lol
Hey 👋 I love your videos they are hilarious and brings me through these 8 hours of work. But listening to this video I just want to say God is with you!! I’m praying for you and pray that you will know him.
I'm so sorry you got robbed Jacy! Especially with everything else that happened that you showed in the video on your vlog channel!😭I love how after everything that happened you still look at things from a positive perspective! What a healthy outlook and mindset! I hope things get better for you, and I hope you're having a better/more positive week!
Dang girl! What a sh!tty time! I'm sorry that happened to you. Hopefully life starts looking up from here! I know u struggle with mental health and I hope this doesn't bring you down too much. Hang in there babes
With your charisma on Camera, you could very well be in all sorts of talk media. Terrible situation and sorry to hear but keep your channel passion thriving!
"They took away from me a crunch wrap supreme and cheesey Gordita crunch those bitches." I know you had a terrible situation, but you made me laugh pretty hard with that one.
I don't know how you popped up but you did. Your very entertaining. Smart and charming. Been watching videos back to back. Jacy, I'm really lifting you up before the Lord. That you come to know & encounter Christ. I don't think your into that but let me assure you, the devil/evil is real. The Lord cares about everything that concerns you & wants you protect you. I'm praying!
okay also thinking how the little girl leaving with her dad and coming back could be symbolic of how hesitant your younger self is to leave and make space for the newer you, but that ultimately she knows to let you go
Hi Jacy, enjoyed your video.Sorry about the back pack.I personally think the Bible has the answer to carma. But, I do agree that you may be entering a new season of life.
So nothing against your dad...but him saying those things is completely INvalidating YOUR experience... Just because your experience may not have been as serious as hers, doesn't mean it was any less valid. I don't agree with that logic and I'm sorry, that your experience was invalidated. I'm happy to hear that no one was seriously injured during the making...err... referencing of this video 😅.
Won’t defend yourself! Hence, why you’ll been seen as a victim in you lifetime. You should listen to your father, his information will help you be more aware of your surroundings and society as a whole.. You seem to have a false sense of security for living in LA.
Yes, it's time for a new beginning. You deserve it. Read the Noble Qur'an. It will explain to you the purpose of your life, and how to pass this test called life. You won't regret it.
Vlog channel here if you want to see the drama unfold in real time 😂
So sorry this happened to you. Put your bookbag in your trunk next time. Keep your wallet & keys w/ you. Change your door locks immediately 🔐

I like your father's point... it's an inconveniences...❤
Thank God ur ok 🙏
You a real one Jacy! Uncle Joe brought me here!
Ahh thanks for sending some love! Uncle Joe is the best ❤️❤️
That second robbery sounds so scary 😧 glad you’re safe and staying positive!
Truly puts into perspective how not-so-bad my situation was. At least she was unhurt too!
You have the best mental reframes. Good attitude, girl! I, too, am excited to see where the "New era of Jacy" takes you.
Comparing your trauma with another person's trauma is not advised. YOU experienced a loss, that is yours. And that's ok. I had a similar mindset with PTSD, and saying that others had it worse and to have resources go to them, instead of me.

You have this cute way of pointing at the camera to emphasize a point. It’s adorable.
🤣🤣🤣 the dad voice-over has me in tears!!!!
This would have been my Mom for sure!! So I totally understand the feeling of "I DON'T NEED THIS FROM YOU RIGHT NOW!! I NEED SOME LOVE AND SYMPATHY!!"
Sidebar: My Dad would have been trying to give me a BIG hug through the phone (which of course is the CORRECT response).
That’s rough, Jacy. I hope things get better for you soon.
Thanks Greg, staying optimistic ❤️

I appreciate it Laurie! Definitely lesson learned you can’t get too comfortable with your surroundings 😞
I like how you're looking at the positives of this. I almost teared up at the part about the little girl. And I laughed way too hard at your old license photo.
It felt like a weird sign from the universe when I was talking to her, so had to share that snippet! But Omg that photo is heinous hahaha
I’m sorry you had to go through this. I’m in So. Cal and I always do things like this so this is a good reminder for me to be vigilant. Glad you are ok.
Sorry this happened to you, so annoying. I can’t stand people that do stuff like this. Glad you weren’t hurt or they didn’t take your car..

Had both my and my wife's cars broken into a month ago. Know your pain/anger. Can't imagine adding the wallet and keys to the stress. 😢
I’m so sorry! That’s so tough both of them got broken into 😧
@@JacyErin got the Couples Special. 😂 guy also stole somebody's $8000 dirt bike so we got off easy I guess.

I lost my wallet and some one tried to buy 2k of gift cards. They tried to call the credit card company and pretend to be me and unfreeze the card.
