    On June 1st I stopped eating sugar, flour & processed food. I started eating healthy foods & focusing on protein. I started lifting weights & trying to go to bed earlier. I'm down 21 lbs. Only one more to go to my goal weight. Following JJ got me so motivated I actually kicked butt. You can do it!

    You are EXCELLENT! I’m an RN and everything you’re saying is completely evidence based. Now I want to watch ALL your videos to learn even more and drive this home in my own life! At 30, I looked around at my life and the sick patients I take care of and I realized just how much I did not want to age in that direction. Thank you for your inspiration and expertise!

      It seems everything I ever watch is ALWAYS geared towards women who have been blessed enough not to have a female cancer. I had a full hysterectomy(instant menopause) over 6 years ago, along with other body parts removed and 16 lymph nodes. Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Now hypothyroidism due to Immunotherapy. One leg has bad lymphedema I can’t seem to control. Pant leg no longer fits. Shoe on that foot no longer fits. Exercise daily. Eat very healthy(I’ve read it all and adhere). Over weight. Scale never budges. Can’t take hormones due to my hormone driven cancer. Very depressed by it all. Medical community is a joke. I feel lost and alone in this journey. 62 in May. Thank you for the awakening to the effects of GMO foods about 9 years ago. I took corn out of my life and healed my leaky gut. Then cancer hit 7 years ago and on constant treatments to try to stay alive.

      @@tamarabeck6350I feel for you. I was diagnosed with Leukemia and chemo pill treatment began...as did the menopause and weight gain. I just keep following what she says and I've finally been losing weight. Slow and sure. But exciting to see the weight and waist disappear! Hang in there and keep trying.

    Great video! I've been working on my health first because I have multiple autoimmune disorders. I drink about 140 ounces of filtered water with MSM, Himalayan salt, lots of protein, super low carbs to get rid of insulin resistance, doing a liver detox currently, organic foods, etc. This has helped me continue working on our ranch, which is a lot of work. I'm 65 and take no medications. Dropped 40 lbs. already but have 50 more to go. I know I need bio-identical hormones but can't afford them, as they aren't covered by Medicare 😥.

      I also have multiple chronic disorders. Started on Keto about 6 years ago, lost 60 lbs., but then had to have 4 surgeries and over 3 years gained about 40 back. I'm 59 now, back on ketovore/Carnivore, fasting, weight resistance training, no alcohol. I've lost 27 lbs. and to reach my goal about 25 more. I also do not take HRT but I am going to have my hormones checked. I'm working harder than I ever have in my life and then will keep at it to stay healthy. good luck to you.

    I'm wondering about exercise with a back injury? I can't do HITT training like sprints and all that. I walk on a treadmill at about a 10 incline at a pace of 2.8... trying to get to 3.0. I walk outdoors as well. My husband helps with weight training. I find legs challenging, and can't do squats, dead lifts, ect... I'm sitting and doing leg curls. Any suggestions?? I would like to get a trainer who specializes in exercise for people with injuries but it's unaffordable. My husband knows alot but I feel like maybe not enough lol...

    Excellent Video!!! Love that you touched in the importance of food sensitivities. Reminds me of how I was making eggs everyday and having no idea why I couldn’t loose weight when it turns out my body dislikes eggs. Also I supplement to increase hormones at only 30 I noticed a problem with storing more fat as opposed to muscle and correcting this has my muscle mass right back how it was at 20. Good luck everyone! Everything she mentioned is so important, honestly we want to look good but the process actually means we live longer and feel better ❤

      Ms Michelle, how did you finally learn that you had an egg sensitivity?

    • @michellecherry888
      @michellecherry888 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@KJB0001 I took a food sensitivity test. The one I took was really comprehensive and thorough. Something critical that that isn’t common is I also discovered Im highly sensitive to synthetic vitamin E and Im low on Vitamin E. I’m strict about not missing my daily multi so this was shocking. I’ve added natural sources to my diet (almonds) and this helped a lot. The test I took was very reasonable (Check My Body Health) There are several companies however, these results really changed my life. My health is good again, finally at a weight I like, my skin cleared up, and more importantly all my numbers looked good at the doctors. Also I had to address that I have some indoor and outdoor allergies that cause me to put on weight. I do suggest testing for allergies as well. I’m allergic to things like dust and mold but I have no pure allergy to food but the sensitivities are very real 😅 I take Claritin daily now to combat the allergies I mentioned as well. Good luck, I know it’s a lot 😅

      How did you supplement to increase hormones?

    • @michellecherry888
      @michellecherry888 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nataljabaskirova9742 I’m not a medical professional, please keep that in mind. First make sure to have your hormones tested. Your cycle is a good indicator of how things are going. In my case I’m very regular which indicated my hormones are stable however when I looked at my numbers I felt they could be higher. I supplement with DHEA which increases hormone production. DHEA naturally drops as we age, I encourage you to do your own research. To find the optimal dose I kept testing to see how this supplement affected me and what felt best. If your hormones aren’t stable you would need help with hormone replacement which requires an anti aging doctor since needs vary and you want optimal doses of what’s right for you. Good luck as always 🙏❤️✨

    My problem is I’ve started having joint pain in my hands, feet and knees 2 weeks out of month. Week before and of period. I’m in perimenopause. So I realize it a hormone issue. I have a migraine disorder that doesn’t allow me to take hormones. So I just don’t know what to do. I started walking last year and ended up with bursitis on the back of my heels. I still have it. I can deal with that but it’s the joint pain that is the main problem. Perimenopause has caused so many problems. I have changed my diet. Can’t lost any weight. I’m up 30 lbs. I’ve always been slender so this just sucks.

    • @LauraB.335
      @LauraB.335 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I agree with Stuart. Migraines, menopausal symptoms, bursitis, joint pain… all signs of inflammation, which often comes from insulin resistance. Eating fewer carbs and less frequently often reverses these things completely in many people.
      AND, you’ll lose fat, too, because the decrease in insulin allows the body to release its own body fat. When cells are swimming in insulin, they will hold on to fat.
      Another great thing is to eat more fat, which is great for healthy hormones (Dr. Elizabeth Bright). That’s why a nice ribeye or some ground beef and butter is great. We have been lied to about saturated fat and cholesterol and sugar.

      I also have migraines and they not only didn’t stop me from HRT but improved when I started HRT. I think you need a second opinion or to start alone with estrogen cream topically. If you still have your uterus, you need progesterone as well. When your progesterone is constant throughout the month, you won’t get the migraines. Also, magnesium magnesium magnesium. Bioidentical Progesterone. Migraines are estrogen dependant and that's your problem. Too much estrogen to progesterone. Progesterone is going to fix these things. It's estrogen you have to avoid. See a hormone specialist

    Great content. I just discovered you. I am working on getting my body back but unfortunately I injured my right hip labrum and can't do squats and other lower body exercises - it hurts too much. Any recommendations? I can bike, but walking hurts after too long. I am doing upper body weights and spinning classes.

    Why have I not watched you before now. My mind is blown. I am 52 extremely over weight, hypothyroidism, RA, fatigued pretty much most of the time, an emotional hot mess, have trouble focusing, trouble sleeping and cannot get myself motivated for anything. I have just started pellet hormone therapy. You make me feel like there is an answer and that I am not lazy or crazy. I feel guilty all the time for not having any drive. My poor husband is going to choke if I talk about my weight and health and what new plan I have come up with to combat it one more time. Now I realize I need to do the things to get healthy before the weight or the mind or the rest will come. Thank you

      @@CorwinDriskillwe really can do it. On my part, it takes patience. And hugely lowered expectations/ change in priorities.
      As my health/ weight improved (and I accepted the fact that I need prescription meds to sleep) - so did my depression. And as my husband retired & lowered his expectations of what he needed to do in life - our relationship improved.
      Now we're working together on a consistently healthy lifestyle, and managing health challenges as we age.

    This is great if you already are dialed in with you eating and exercise routine. For the average person this much information is just confusing and paralyzing. Eat more fruit and vegetables, track your protein to make sure you eat enough, cut out junk food and move a little more everyday, especially lift weights, and Track! Your! Calories! I promisse you'll start to feel better in just a couple days and you'll start losing weight

Would love to see separate videos discussing all of the supplements such as the berberine and your recommendations on protein powder and creatine. What brands and how do you take them? Will watch all of your other videos now. Interested in how to improve gut health too. Will also try to find this food sensitivity test but have never seen one for sale? Thanks so much

I have 100lbs to lose….

      Hi Cyrusromeo. I don't know if this applies to you, but I've been using extended fasting and a whole food diet (prioritizing fats, protein, and various homemade fermented foods) in order to manage chronic pain without prescription medication for several years.. My pain is basically from nerve damage and retained foreign bodies that surgeons could not remove.
      After settling in to whole foods, fasting, sleep quality, and daily sun/fresh air I gained lots of energy, improved mood, and of course weight management.

      Prioritize protein in diet and do workouts with weights. Preferably ask a personal trainer to get you started. Correct form is crucial.
