Bringing back chalky oxidized paint without polishers, wax, comet or steel wool. I’ll show you how!!

Getting rid of years of oxidization in 10 minutes. My hood was badly oxidized and near white! I had nothing to lose but I wasn’t about to spend the entire day polishing this turd. Come see how I managed to somewhat revive this near dead paint to an almost respectable finish! Hey, it’s worth a shot!

I used some 3000 grit Hercules foam sanding pads and gently wet sanded the hood of a 08 Honda that sat outside for too many years. I only used 3000 bc I don't have much experience. To my surprise it came out well and I then practiced polishing it using the Makita 3" polisher which was on sale 50% off last month, 3" griots orange and some Sonax. It increased the shine a lot, a couple people admired the paint and asked how much but I have not sold it yet. Nobody wants to spend the KBB ramge. I wonder if foam pad with Maguires ultimate compound would shine that yellow hood up more
