Went to Rodney Scott's in Charleston back in April. The restaurant brought back memories of where I grew up. Went to school at James Simmons for 3rd and 4th grade. My late brother, graduated from Rivers High School across the street. The grocery store across the street used to be A&P. Next to Rivers High was the old County Hall. Used to go to wrestling matches, but what's most important was it being the venue of Dr. King's last speech on his visit to Charleston before he was assassinated in Memphis several monts later. I was there, July 30th 1967. Thank you Rodney for bringing back those memories.
