Born and raised in KC. I've been going to Arthur Bryant's since 1963. I moved away from KC in '84 for my job but on my trips home I always go back to Bryant's. The BBQ scene in KC has definitely changed in the last 40 plus years. I cherish those times I had at Bryant's when Arthur was "on the pit" himself. My most memorable moment at Bryant's was meeting and shaking hands with Satchel Paige after an Athletics game, very cool. Thanks for the video.
I'm West of KC, and BBQ in KC is sooo sooo amazing, and your story makes so much sense. Imagine Lunch there, and then a visit the Negro Baseball League museum. That might just lead to a visit in the evening to some small, low keyJazz and Blues club downtown!! That's KC !!!!

6:42 That's a home run out of Kauffman Stadium for me. High fives to Wayne (and his son, if you're still lurking). I'd been here a few times previously, but on the last trip, a very good friend of mine and I made the trek to visit the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and see the Royals play a couple of games. I brought him here on the first day, and when I suggested we try another place that had been recommended to me by someone from KC, nope, he was just fine with coming back here. I didn't argue. So, we got the whole experience of waiting in the line before they opened, and two days in a row of some of the best barbecue I've ever had.

Yes, if there's better BBQ, I want to go there. Arthur Bryant's was the best I've had and the BBQ places in Texas are a distant second.
Awesome, check out these three spots next 👉 th-cam.com/video/NbxXTYw51h0/w-d-xo.html
Arthur Bryant’s is the best. I’m glad you enjoyed the food. I’m also glad you visited the NL Baseball Museum.
Home town! Love author Bryant!
Unveiling your meat to the world is crazy😂😂😂😂😂😂
That is real BBQ and ain't no better . This is living the American dream and that Cook is not replacable so give him respect and thank him for his great work . I live in Alabama and we have cooks that work a long time to get like that and even have Dreamland or Full Moon but they can't do it that way . They franchised it and that isn't original like this :) God bless that man and keep him going .
Now I got to visit that restaurant. Thanks Gareth.
Hey Gareth, God bless you and your Great Vacation!😇
Videos always done with respect and love, Gareth! I've been subscribed since you visited my birthplace of Cebu City! keep up the well-thought out tributes to different places.
I am so glad you showed the rolled to go order. That place is an experience.
Use to go to Bryant’s in the 1960s before I got transferred to Arizona. The BEST BBQ, really miss it. I still wear my Arthur Bryant’s BBQ Tee Shirt that I bought when I visited in the 1990s.
Been there once when passing through(2005ish). First time I ever even heard of burnt ends. Awesome!
Life long kc resident and bbq lover and my number one kc bbq item is the beef sandwich from Bryant’s!
Great video! The comments are equally great (if not better); some great memories from times gone by.
" Were # 1 " take that France !! LOL LOL . Gareth your the best food reviewer out there
I was fortunate to go here once and had the Brisket sandwich it was awesome. When I left KC swung by again and got a Brisket sandwich to take on the plane with me, fond memories of this place and my trip.
My partner the one and only WAYNE THE RIBB TIP KING☝
👏👏👏👏
Enjoyed watching this video.
I like the Don't overcook attitude, I don't want meat falling off I want it to fight back a little.
I love when places put 20 pounds of stuff with the sides on wax paper and just roll it up.
My name is Herman Charles Brown, I use to walk down to Arthur Bryant BBQ when I was a kid, teenager, and now I live in Austin Texas. This is one of the best BBQ restaurants I go to during my travels to the Great City of Kansas City Missouri, GO CHIEFS 😎😋👍🏾
Quickly, friends from the far corners of Wyandotte, to the cracks and crevices of Raytown, as high as Zona Rosa and as far down as Lenexa, Rejoice in our glorious barbeque spotlight!
One of our worst BBQ places….
You should try LC’s

Great video brother.
My boss took me to Arthur Bryant's in '76 and it was a weekly stop until I was transferred to Nashville. The standard order was a beef sandwich, fries and a draft. Good eatin'
LOOKS SO GOOD
6:42 That's a home run out of Kauffman Stadium for me.
