    I have a question. I know that you used webflow for your portfolio website. I have been using webflow as well but for some reason, I am having trouble making my website responsive. When I move from full screen to half screen my elements are not centered anymore. Do you know how to make the page responsive?

    • @EstieChoi
      @EstieChoi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah yeah~ hmmm sometimes it's not automatically responsive for you so you have to adjust accordingly. I learned from Flux Academy (aka Ran Segall's program) that you should always go from desktop to mobile. So if your view from desktop to tablet is off then go to tablet and edit on there to match the responsiveness to tablet view. Then usually your tablet will change the responsiveness to mobile automatically. When you're done with tablet and you check mobile view and notice some awkward areas then you need to change it manually as well. ^^" (It helps if you prepare responsive wireframes of whatever website your making in advance on the design tool of your choice like Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD! So that you can refer to them as your building it on Webflow.)
      At least that's what I know so far! hahah n

      @@EstieChoi Thanks. When you were positioning your elements, what did you use? Did you use relative positioning, grid, flex box? I think I'm having an issue because I used relative positioning to move my elements exactly where I want them to be.

    • @EstieChoi
      @EstieChoi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roter13ahh I do use them but it depends on what exactly you’re using them for. Sometimes it’s relative positioning or altering the margins etc.. not sure if I can help exactly. You may want to check out Ran’s TH-cam videos (free) or his webflow course (paid) cause I found his tips the most helpful 🥺 sorry... 😭

    Love the new setup! Totally understand the discouraged feeling as a new UX designer - I try to remind myself "you're one person and can't tackle everything you have on your plate at once." It looks like your passion for learning and working hard shines through in your content, which will help you grow. You got this!

    Hey Estie, this is a bit random but I saw through your foundations credential that we had the same mentor!
    Now I’m only at the first capstone project and there are so many more months to go 😅. Any tips on staying motivated?

    • @EstieChoi
      @EstieChoi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Omg! He was so chill 😂 Yo you got this! & I found setting the deadline date for when you want to finish the project and scheduling backwards helps me identify what I should do each day to stay on track to finishing.
      Find what tasks you need to do, how long it takes you to do it, and ask yourself how many of those tasks you can complete for each day to get you to your goal. Even noting something like “find 3 direct competitors and do a SWOT analysis on Monday” was helpful for me cause it felt less stressful & made the overall project more approachable!
