I'm so glad we got to connect ❤️! You're not alone!! It's also definitely compounding cause of the pandemic, being home, so many changes but you're doing incredible and realizing that ..things take time and will work out!
thank you for this video estie!! i’m currently halfway through design lab’s UX foundations hoping to start with UXA next month, and recently it’s been really hard to juggle my current full time job, foundations, personal obligations, a social life and self care. But I’ve been catching up on foundations work bc i have a few days off right now. but thanks so much i really go to ur videos for guidance especially since you also did design lab. sometimes i get overwhelmed with all of the new info and trying to plan ahead with setting myself up in getting a UX job for when i’m done with UXA but i’m trying to take it day by day. THANK YOU ESTIE :)
Thank you Estie for being so genuine with your experience. I have been really struggling to get through designlab and just coming off my month break and I really want to become a UX designer but keep doubting myself.
Omg gurlllll I’ve been there too. I also took a month off! Don’t give up. As long as you keep that passion to be a UX designer, you’ll get there. Everyone’s timeline is unique. 💜
Wait you are actually pretty good at drawing didn't realize that. It's unfortunate that you can't do it more often. Question though, do you think because you are a freelancer things are much more taxing on you? Also, did you choose to become a freelancer because finding a permanent position is hard?
Aww thanks~ I've been trying to draw more often ^^ & yeah learning how to freelance is also learning how to be your own business person... so definitely! Also, freelancing has always been one of my goals to do but I wasn't planning on heading right into it. Coincidentally, I just had a few people in my network refer clients to me and I thought the projects were interesting! Because I've been enjoying freelancing (aka managing my own time) so far, I haven't been applying to a full-time position yet tbh BUT I'm open to it in the near future :)
This video bring up super nice positive energy, thanks for it

Yay! You got this. I’m learning everyone’s journey is their own so don’t be so hard on yourself & go at your own pace. 🥺
Great video! What is that thing that looks like the moon at 9:50? Do you have a link to it?
Tysm! & it’s a moon light! Here’s my link: amzn.to/3EVwEvi ^^
