So calm and serene. I love the colors of the area and how everyone seems to go about life in a manner so different than our hurry up mentality. I'm sure the guys that worked on your fender saw it as a labor of love. Toyotas are held in very high esteem in some cultures and yours being so special was a treat for them, I'm sure. The churches were also beautiful, the life focus of those folks just seem to be so much more grounded than our everyday hectic pace.
It’s very special experiencing a lifestyle so vastly different then ours. The time in the day spent just enjoying company, enjoying the scenery. We have fallen heavily for the Mexican routine.

Fenders look great, good call on getting them fixed down there. I have that thin steel on my 76 FJ40, Toyota got stingy during those years and it's no fun to fix the rust.

Baja is a breeze, safe friendly and awesome. We saw sketchier things in Cali tbh. If you follow basic rules and instincts you’re safe anywhere.
