I am Guatemalan living in Canada and I like to watch your videos, they bring me sensations when I see my beautiful country. Although I love Canada but I don't forget where I was born
The wipers aren’t made that can deal with tropical rain. Well done Juan Carlos! The people are at least as important as the location. What a wonderful gift.
Watching the confessionals about the heat, the bugs, and the rain fully reminded me of watching Survivor back in the day and the struggles of the contestants. I'm liking the consistent upload schedule on Thursdays again. It looks like you're ahead on content too, which is good news.
Okay, the kids are just the cutest! Never underestimate the impact you are having on their lives as much as them on yours. Yes you are Canadians, your kindness and willing to embrace new cultures shines through. Your beautiful home misses you, but we know you are representing us well. As always - much love 💜
To make a connection with locals that are caring, loving and informative is a memory that will last forever🥰P.S. you’ve reached a new milestone. You now have a Spanish advertisement at the end of your episode.🤣🤘
Wonderful❤ I love the human connections you are making... Many of them will be friends for life! I also love the momentum you're building! I love you both❤❤❤
Every time I watch a video it gives me the drive to get out in the shop and work on the sunrader. The tdi swap is taking a lot longer then I had hopped but I will be on the road soon enough! Safe travels 🤙🏼
It always amazes me that so many people that have so little can find so much joy in life while those of us that have so much, by comparison, can find so much unhappiness. I once saw that to be in the top 10% of income in the world, all one needs to do is to be born in America. I would think that Canada could also be included. The secret truly is not in having all you want, but being happy with what you have. I got a kick out of your comment about the apprehension of travel to the unknown places that are purported to be dangerous by the media because I just got back from West Virginia and needing supplies, I went to a town with a Wal-Mart. It was here I was able to witness every negative stereotype ever told about WV. Later, at a gas station, I got into a 30 minute conversation with a college-aged guy in a Jeep about overlanding and learned so much about the local area. The next day at a small breakfast place, another conversation with locals truly allowed me to appreciate the state in a way I never would have without these conversations. It really is the human interactions that tell the complete story of a place. Another great video in your on-going story of adventure.
We couldn't agree more, and it has been such a huge part of our journey. We naturally travel slow, but that has benefited us in so many ways. It's one thing to enter a town just to see the waterfall beside it. It's another story when you stop and ask questions and spend time learning about what's going on in front of the waterfall.
Did you know? Those water buffalo's nose rings are made to transport them? They get pulled, and even get carried by the nose! First I've seen it when I was a kid and did not know how strong their noses are.
As far as insect repellent goes look for Nopikex - repellente solido. Comes in a small plastic squarish container. Lather with water and apply to the skin like you are washing with soap. An absolute must for the mosquitoes of Colombia.
I’m in awe! We all must feel the same when we Watch your videos. You’re taking us to the most MAGICAL places!! Thank you ❤❤ And yes the bugs 🦟🪰 can be over whelming, but you got your rain. Take care Mat and Stacey 🤩👋
Welcome to Guatemala What a wonderful experience guys, thanks for sharing more about Guate, I can feel that amazing vibe throughout this video 😎, Keep it up
Looks like such an amazing experience, seeing Rio Dulce and el Castillo de San Felipe and all those areas takes me back to my childhood. My parents are from Guatemala and I was very lucky I got to visit a lot of those beautiful places, Tikal being the best. awesome to see more people traveling Guatelinda!
You guys are living it to the fullest. We do kind of similar overlanding adventures here in PuertoRico, but nothing compares to what i have seen in youre videos. Keep at it & enjoy it. Ohh & if you ever come to P.R. hit us up for an adventure😅.
Just got caught up on your videos. Ive been on a 35 day road trip so was a few videos behind. Your journey is as amazing as ever. Keep up the great work and cherish your adventure!
Hello again from the seasonally warm Okanagan, thanks for another video. We're supposed to hit 36 tomorrow so a normal July here. The bugs wouldn't be my favorite thing either. We've experienced our version of "buggy" in the Manitoba bogs and bush, the Wilmore north of Jasper and up on the Kokanee Glacier where it was tough to be out of the tent if it wasn't windy. Anyways, I don't envy you with the bugs. Great scenery as always. Safe travels you two.
36 degrees sounds terrible but then we remember there's no humidity, and almost book our flights home. It's definitely the mix of humidity and bugs that can throw anyones mood out the window. Oh well, the highs are worth the minor sufferings.
That's funny where not Americans, where Canadians.Basically where Vikings. 🤣 When I was traveling overseas I'd tell people I was Canadian even though I am American for safety reasons. 🤣 Thanks for another great adventure you guy's. Safe travels. ❤
Lol, we stayed at the Eco Camp last night, the geese were so loud. 👍Actually came back towards Rio Dulce and are at a really nice spot on the lake for the next couple days. 🙂🙂
This episode put me in mind of Explorer Life. That's out of Australia there also on TH-cam. They build some awesome Toyota's. Can't wait to see your next adventure. Roll on landcuriser chinook.
20:24that was a Nissan Miller, that it's a tank. I just found your channel, and I'm hooked. I'm a guatemalan living in the us for 33 years. Guatemala has some spectators views, and a lot of bugs too😂. Saludos from NJ
My friends , if one’s in HONDURAS , you take the CA5 , there’s a little city in central Honduras (Siguatepeque) if you guys diced to pass over it , let me know my house is your house . We have plenty of space for Your car and relax take a shower etc . Let me know Drive safe
Just a fun fact. Just learned today lol. But the leaf cutter ants don’t eat the leaf’s, they take it to their nest to feed the fungi and eat the fungi. Loved watching them in Costa Rica last year.
Tough as it is. You will figure out it was worth it. Yall are knocking on what happens twice your age that hardly nobody experiences. Toy tough ota makes it better.
Can't we just tap the like button or do we really have to smash it? Are you guys going to buy me a new phone when I destroy mine from all the smashing?
I have to be honest I love the videos but the fact that its mainly just you telling a story is kinda weird I wish you would just show more of you actually using the rig and the camping not just driving around trying to sound like your telling a tail or something... idk this is just my opinion.
I am Guatemalan living in Canada and I like to watch your videos, they bring me sensations when I see my beautiful country. Although I love Canada but I don't forget where I was born
Guatemala feels endless for adventure! We will be back
You know men Canada was way more free and fun like where you come from
The wipers aren’t made that can deal with tropical rain. Well done Juan Carlos! The people are at least as important as the location. What a wonderful gift.
It truly was! We're so happy to be here.
Watching the confessionals about the heat, the bugs, and the rain fully reminded me of watching Survivor back in the day and the struggles of the contestants.
I'm liking the consistent upload schedule on Thursdays again. It looks like you're ahead on content too, which is good news.
Haha somedays when Matthew is smashing a coconut with a machete I feel like we're on Survivor...
We're stoked to have TWR Thursdays back as well!

missing home extra these days!
"We're not Americans, we are Canadians, basically Vikings" Might be the single best random line I have heard watching your videos. Loved it!
Poetic philosophy and great scenery, thank you!
Thank you for watching!
To make a connection with locals that are caring, loving and informative is a memory that will last forever🥰P.S. you’ve reached a new milestone. You now have a Spanish advertisement at the end of your episode.🤣🤘

I could have watched ants marching for a half an hour. Now I know where that song came from.

My parents hate the influence the series has had on me
Sorry mom and dad, but THANK YOU

Up your salt and water intake . Still nicer there than here in Nanaimo.
Just a fun fact. Just learned today lol. But the leaf cutter ants don’t eat the leaf’s, they take it to their nest to feed the fungi and eat the fungi. Loved watching them in Costa Rica last year.
Why did you not explore Nicaragua?
We explored a bit of Honduras and Nicaragua but due to a time restrain we didn’t make a video, as we were rushing to Panama for our shipping date.
The opening statement caught my attention. U guys are way cool. USMC Vet. Your content is great.
Thank you so much!
"He will be here all week folks!!! Try the veal and tip your waitresses!!"
