I've been watching your trip now for three weeks. I is such a great disconnect/inspiration for our family. Thankyou guys so much! Let the good times roll😊
The Oaxacan coast is truly something special. We’ve gone there two years in a row to Puerto Escondido. Just got back from our trip there and we visited Laguna de Chacahua while there, easily the best beach we’ve ever been to
I knew you two would fall in love with that Oaxaca Coast like we did! Glad to see a little more sparkle in your eyes Stacey, can't be watching Matthew drink beer alone for long. Be safe in the heat, it is overwhelming, and as always - much love 💛
Hello from the sunny south Okanagan again, thanks for another travel report. Good to see Stacey is better. We're into summer up here now too - was 33° today and still no major fires in the backyard so a good start to summer in BC. The drone photography is really well done - kudos. I still like your music choice and volume too - even though I'm ancient. Safe travels you two.
Subscribed to your channel about a month ago. Glad I did. Going through small rural towns is so refreshing to the eye. Brings back so many memories from when I was a child before my parents migrated to the U.S. Keep up the good work and good luck!
El tule was maybe my favorite place in Mexico. We stayed at a small park now closed after Covid. The fire works festival in El tule was the best show I have seen. They wore these head things with rockets firing off !
Playa Tembo!! This beach looked amazing. We spend 2 weeks in Tangolunda in April and the people and the area were wonderful. And being Vancouver Islanders as well it was very humid. I can't image how humid it must be now. Have a blast and the content is EXCELLENT!!
I have been following you too on and off. This was a great video with dope Drone footage.. safe travels , and definitely scrutinize the food cart vendors. 😏
Oaxaca was the first place we met many other overlanders too. As you make your way into Central America everyone gets funneled into a much narrower space and you'll start running into the same people. We made some great friends this way. But Mexico is awesome. Don't leave before you have to. We spent our entire 6 month visa on the way south to Panama and went back for another 3 months on our way north.
Nice trip guys, i did about the same route from oaxaca to zipolite in 2006 in a chrysler shadow with 3 buddy's. If its still more donkeys than trucks and more mezcal than water. It hasn't changed much!
Great guys hope you having a great adventure in mexico it is a really great place to overland., Feels good as a Mexican that foreign people enjoy our country
Good health is taken for granted until it's gone... glad you're better and pray your system will continue to protect and enjoy all the exotic climates, fruit and foods! Love to hear your comparisons to new flavors from unexpected jewels... brown sugar from a fruit that looks like a walnut? priceless. Just more evidence that creation contains far more than one person can experience and most of us don't have a clue what's out there or even right next to us until we look for it. Thank you for letting us travel with you to places we'd never dream of and imagine flavors unavailable locally. You must think of creating a South American Cuisine restaurant or even an on line source for flavor, textures, and aromas others can experience... now there's a logistical shipping challenge 😋
Absolutely, our health is the number one priority, so we take everything very seriously! Thank you so much for watching, we're happy you enjoy the comparisons haha it has become a fun game for us!
I’m building a custom trailer for behind my hummer h3 and will put together a rumble account showing it off soon. I’m taking it on it’s maiden voyage end of this summer. So far I’m 20k deep in 2 years with both the h3 and building the trailer and the supplies needed.
I'm not triying to be mean but the words you say when describing the new fruits you recently discover talks in a interesting way how the nort american average people relates to food (mostly descriptions of cakes, pudins, or directly suggar) I understand way, just noticing something funny. love your rig, hope I can do the same towars canada this or the next year!
Another great video filled with things I did not know or realize. Oaxaca and Wahacah are the same place. Zipolite and all of the Playas in that area are special, but the sweaty beach was the coolest. Stacy only gets to talk to Matt until they get around other English-speaking travelers and she finds it refreshing. When the top of the camper pops up "This is the place".
Just got caught up on your videos I was on vacation for 5 weeks. Glad to see Stacy is doing better, food poisoning is definitely not fun, ask me how I know. I try to avoid street food but some are so enticing it’s hard to say no to. Another great video thanks for sharing. Stay safe have fun!
Matt and Stacey Hope one day we get to meet, y'all seem like my kind of people. Stacey glad you are doing better cheers my friends 🍻 love the videos 📹 Safe travels
im glad you both like my country and i have an advice for you two, try not to eat to much from street vendors unless you see is clean . if you see a lot of people eating in one place it means is good to eat, lol. i know it sounds racist but hygiene is very important among street vendors. take care. and sorry for my inglish, is not that good :)
Did you guys find that back road to Puebla? Also your right, that Barrilito taste just like a Red Stripe. Almost the same shape bottle. Oaxaca is a great state and yeah the weather is is humid. It will be getting worst as you drive more to the south.. keep it going guys..
Definitely want to get your fender flairs figured out asap. Not for mud, but because having tires extend beyond the body of your vehicle is highly illegal in most countries and they will impound your truck at the border. Good luck out there! Maybe we'll see you somewhere on the road.
Hey there, where did you get that info? Have you driven in Central or SA with tire poke? From our research the only countries we may need to be cautious are Brazil and possibly Paraguay, and out of state cars haven't ran into much issues with modifications. However not many do what we're doing in such a vehicle. Thank you!
Glad you are both well. I have subscribed since the build👍. Is there any chance of some maps of your route I'd like to see the progress. Thanks for the great content
Another great video. Glad stacey is better. Very senic Mexico. Enjoy the hideaway beaches that you always find. Mud flaps look very cool. What kind of fuel mileage are you getting?
Hope you disconnected your battery cables before having ANYthing welded on the truck. Not doing so is a great way to fry sensitive electronics like your ECU, CDI, etc... Not to mention summon electrical gremelins and demons.
Oaxaca got jungles? I always imagined Oaxaca as an arid area w/ mountains, just like that place where you camped. They have a turtle 🐢 beach where they lay their eggs.
@@ToyotaWorldRunners finally got to it, takes me a whole day to watch a 30 min video; nothing better than a ripe fruit straight off the tree. Will you guys drive through Belize or go through Guatemala?
I see staying in San Jose del Pacifico wink wink 🍄🍄jajajaja jk. Oaxaca is one of the few places i can go back and not get bored, ive always loved visiting everything from the capital, mountains and the coast it has it all, enjoy :D
Learn Spanish it will be much easier , that’s what they told me in my first days in the States “ Speak English” in a very rude manner so I did I’m fluent and I can communicate better , Good luck to both ❤🇲🇽
@kylegilbert8113 They said free. I realize the citizenry is picking up the tab, but even so, they're paying penny's on the dollar compared to the inflated prices America is accustomed to paying. The drug syndicate that runs the joint fixes the prices to their hearts content.

Just picked up a 1993 Mitsubishi Delica star wagon 4x4 turbo Deisel. Can’t wait to get into overlanding thank you guys for the inspiration
Those are neat rigs!
Again and again you hit it out of the park with high quality content, from the visuals and music to the storytelling. Thank you!
Wow, thank you so much!
I've been watching your trip now for three weeks. I is such a great disconnect/inspiration for our family. Thankyou guys so much! Let the good times roll😊
That is what we love to hear!!
Best video yet....Not over-narrated. I tend to like a little more of the raw cut and see/hear things unenhanced as they are. Nice job guys!
Thank you!
The Oaxacan coast is truly something special. We’ve gone there two years in a row to Puerto Escondido. Just got back from our trip there and we visited Laguna de Chacahua while there, easily the best beach we’ve ever been to
The beaches were stunning! We would have stayed longer if the humidity didn’t force our hand
Started following your videos and now we cannot wait to see the next one!

Matthew has definitely been holding down the beer fort, but ill be sure to catch up!

Awesome, really enjoying these videos. Keep the content coming!
Thanks, will do!
Awesome beach! Beatiful mtn. villages as well. Cheers guys.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Glad that you both are healthy , brave enough to try new foods and fruits. Sad t😢hat Stacy got sick. No Trini beer😅😅
Love the new cultures and fresh content you don’t see on many other “overland” channels.
Thank you so much! We appreciate it!

It is such a beautiful, quaint town. The tree was incredible!
Best heaters I’ve found are catalytic propane heaters, great journey !
We've heard of them! Must do some reading, would be nice since we already using propane.
Playa Tembo!! This beach looked amazing. We spend 2 weeks in Tangolunda in April and the people and the area were wonderful. And being Vancouver Islanders as well it was very humid. I can't image how humid it must be now. Have a blast and the content is EXCELLENT!!
It was a hilarious problem for us because the beaches were absolutely stunning, but the humidity forced us to leave!

Great video
Mamey sapote is my favorite fruit. It like desert avocado lol. Any cream fat like whipped cream or in a smoothie with milk is the way to go. 🤙🏽
Yes!! Dessert avocado! We can’t believe the texture it made in a smoothie.

It's worth it!
Glad everyone is feeling better. Question: do you have a plan for getting around the Darien Gap yet?
Plans are not solidified yet!
10:15 That’s a fruit called “mamey”. You can eat alone or in Mexico City we liquate it with cold milk (licuado de mamey) very tasty!
Yum!
I've had that Zapiote fruit in Costa Rica - I thought it tasted just like brown sugar!! Crazy!!!

You can make fender flares out of a cut up kiddy pool 😃
Hey guys! I just found you. I grew up in Baja California Sur.
Glad you found us! Baja is incredible.
Love every bit of your videos!! Curious to know, how’s your water filtration system working out? Drinkable?

Mexico is full of empty beaches and surprises, we’re hooked! Thanks for watching! We average about 12-14
Buen provecho!

Always!
hey guys, can you provide the name of the beach where you find that death turtle?
thanks
Hey guys i love your videos and i have a question I've been wanting to ask... what mpg does that beautiful truck get?
Thank you! And it averages 12-14. We have a massive fuel tank, so we endure all types of terrain for each tank
Oaxaca got jungles? I always imagined Oaxaca as an arid area w/ mountains, just like that place where you camped. They have a turtle 🐢 beach where they lay their eggs.
Amazing drone shots. Who's the pilot?
With all those sugary fruits, you'd think Mexico would have dozens of different liquors. Report?
We both fly! And we will inspect!
Bienvenidos a oaxacanda

Try the sapodilla “SAPOTE” it’s even better.
