I see all sorts of reviews for devices like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, but docking my Z Fold 5 into a Gamesir Galileo controller with GeForce Now's Ultimate tier, it absolutely crushes any other big clunky handheld. 120hz on an OLED display at max settings is AMAZING. Strongly recommend GFN if you have good wi-fi or cellular data.
GeForce Now started before Stadia and it is why Stadia died a premature death. Cloud gaming will only keep getting better and especially since Discrete GPUs are expensive.

The latest update destroyed the experience on a Gaming chromebook. The AV1 codec is the problem. Now you can't play any game on the native 2560 x 1600 with 120Hz It will boot in a black screen with 0 fps on stream
i agree . I was considering building a new PC and I grabbed Gforce now and game pass. I saved a ton of cash .. Nothing super competitive but no complaints
Could you let us know what you're using for the screen record and capture? I've tried screen recording me playing geforce now on my pixelbook, using the built in recorder, but it's super laggy. Cheers!
Nice to see how GeForce NOW has developed, I once bought a Nivida shield pad when it came out with GeForce NOW that was ok back then. So for gaming on Chromebook and Android phone as well on pc. What gaming control would you recommend, that isn't to expensive.
I like the idea of having a cloud service that pulls game purchases from other stores, id much rather play my own games over the service than a bunch of bargain bin stuff they could barely get the lisenses to.

However, as an art and design enthusiast, the design application was not optimal so I returned to Windows, hoping that the Chromebook could provide compatible applications for creative and design needs.

Admitting that you are not good at a video game is not a great argument. I'm 31 and I am not nearly as good as I used to be. Most of the time, I cant feel the difference but I have seen other content creators that are much more "gamer" than "techy" and they do say they can feel the latency. I think it would be really interesting to have like a showcase of pro gamers or at least highly ranked sweaty players talk about their experience playing GFN on a Chromebook.
Everything seems to be fine but the Mouse senstivity on games are broken if you try the finals, it;s like you have no control over your mouse i gave the finals are try and i was nto getting any kills i thought it is my aim problems and then i switched to native gaming and then i really noticed the diffrence on how broken is senstivity is and the internet spped was arround 100 Mbps so not the problem there
Can you recommend a solution to a flickering screen on Acer Chromebook Spin 713? I disconnected the screen and reconnected after cleaning connection to no avail. Any suggestions?
The only bad thing about GeForce now that when a game is getting an update in a server level it become unavailable for days or weeks and is impossible to use it, that's why i think shadow pc even when is more pricey is just plain better because the games are always available xd

The only way for it to look better is if the hardware in the datacenter streaming the game has a better gpu than the one locally on the demo unit. And if that were the case, then it would be an unfair comparison.
I think he was saying that they were tasked with picking one or the other, and that task said "which is better." A handful of people selected Gforce to be "better." Now that doesn't mean it was particularly better, but it means that it was picked between two choices, even if the choices were just the same.
I literally sold my Macbook Pro yesterday, I seem to use my chromebook for everything. The Mac was sitting there collecting dust(not having a touch screen is hard work on the Mac)
Yall should do a full gaming overview. Chromebooks have great potential between playstore titles, emulators, and cloud gaming.

its pretty much renting another pc and using it remotely so yes, its a great tech if you have a capable internet to use it
