    I got 6 months of Ultimate with my AT&T Fiber subscription. I used to be a hardcore gamer, then I got older, got married, had kids, and now I can't justify spending $2-3k on building a proper gaming PC when I only game a few days a month, and I can just grab my Chromebook and tuck away somewhere and get a premium session in. It has seriously blown my mind. I didn't realize it would be as good as it is. I had a Stadia subscription and I really loved Stadia. The latency with Stadia was great, but the image quality was pretty bad, but I didn't care, it gave me a library of games I didn't have to buy and it was responsive. I tried Luna and hated it, the latency just kills it. GeForce Now feels like native. It really does. And the best part is I can play it in any room of my house. I can literally pay for GeForce Now Ultimate for the next 5 years and only then would I be coming close to the price of having built a gaming PC which would be obsolete in 5 years. Anyway, great video, and your upload image quality is ace.

    Been using Geforce now for like 5 years. Ever since the first week go beta. It is the best way to play. Unreal graphics and amazing latency. I use the 4080 there and love it. I also use exclusively Macs. This lets me game better than my gaming pc. Love the service.

      It is a very good service and people think they need super fast internet but honestly you'll do well with 50 to 75 megabits and that's pushing it honestly. If people got over all the misconceptions GeForce now would keep growing a lot faster. I have a friend who still thought GeForce now forced you to buy exclusive games from them. Like stadia. Love the service though not going to stop paying for it I hope they keep growing.

    To me, this feels like a nice in-between of a console and a pc. GeForce now provides comparable input delay to consoles at 120 hz, better graphics, and extended keyboard and mouse support, but it's missing the library, modding components and competitive and snappy nature of local gaming. amazing for people who use macs or craptops and live near one of their servers!

    Great video! I tried it after watching this and it went well! 2 of my friends use it now after I told them about it and this video. My friends PC’s are aging. It’s gives hope to mention GeForce Now when someone says they want to pc game but can’t afford a new rig, especially to the younger crowd wanting to start pc gaming but would only have a console sale to put forth for funds. My friends swear by the service now. I was worried about input, price and resolution but none were an issue. We tested it out at my friends camping lodge using a tablet and his usual Starlink out there, playing MW3 and Starfield, both with a controller. I might try it tethering my phones data. Keep up the great work (videos)! Also you beta tested it for us! Thanks 🙏 😅

    The biggest downside I've found is the lack of games. Yeah, I know, they have 1500 games. But, there's always going to be that odd title you want to play that your PC can't handle and that MSoft/Sony won't touch. For the games they do support, though, I've been well pleased.
    My GPU in my PC died; too old to upgrade, don't game enough to justify a new PC.

    Hello Asa, I've noticed your stream is set to 60fps on GFN. If you want better input lag you should try setting your stream to 120fps( for 1440p & 4K) or 240fps(for 1080p) depending on your monitor's refresh rate & resolution. Great video!

    • @gaming-arcadia
      @gaming-arcadia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks!
      Do you use the higher frame rate on GFN? Does it still look as good? Unfortunately for me I can't really do that whilst recording in the quality I use for video, but I may check it out for my own sake soon :)

    • @Chicoppat
      @Chicoppat ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gaming-arcadia I use 2560x1440p 120fps stream and the reduction of input lag is very noticeable against 60fps, just like it would in local hardware. I have a 1440p 144Hz monitor so that's the best configuration atm for me, 240fps stream wouldn't make sense since my monitor can only show 144fps and also it's for 1080p, but I recon the input lag would be even lower with that config.

    • @Anthony-ex6hq
      @Anthony-ex6hq 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Does setting the stream to 4k 120fps make a difference if the monitor/TV is 4k 60hz. Would it still improve latency?

    • @Chicoppat
      @Chicoppat 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Anthony-ex6hq Does the app allows you to set the stream to 120fps even if your monitor/TV isn't 120Hz?, if so, do it. That must improve input delay a bit even if you'd only see 60fps on your TV. Latency won't be changed since it's the round distance between your PC and the nearest server (RTD - round trip delay from client to server) that is meassured in milliseconds when you press Ctrl + N on PING

    • @Anthony-ex6hq
      @Anthony-ex6hq 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Chicoppat I think I figured it out. Here is my setup. Laptop hdmi to LG CX tv set to 4k 60hz RGB. (Laptop only has hdmi 2.0 so I can’t do 4k 120hz rgb even though tv supports that). I have Gsync enabled on tv in nvidia control panel with vsync on and low latency set to ultra. In the GeForce now app I have vsync turned off stream set to 4k 60fps. I’m playing shadow of the tomb raider and to get the smoothest camera movement I found I had to enable double buffering vsync in the game options. Not sure why but any other setting there was slight stuttering when panning camera. My network ping to GeForce pods is 22ms. I have hardwired gigabit connection. Don’t get me wrong everything feels great and this service has far exceeded my expectations.
      Just found it odd that there was stuttering with Gsync on and only way to eliminate was enabling vsync in this game. Maybe it’s just this game in particular.

Also, can I do like, gfn priority tier, and subscribe to pc game pass and play all the pc game pass games through gfn priority tier? Like, do people do that? Subscribe to both? I don't think the 50 series will solve it as it's not really a power problem. 40 series can run beautiful VR, but streaming will need different tricks to overcome even small latency, and the market needs to be bigger before anyone makes much effort.

In regards to Nvdia stream Vr, I believe that is ultimately where we need to go if we want to make Vr headsets lighter for one, and sure add a mobile chip on their or maybe use a mobile flagship phone to power the experience, but in the end streaming all content is the future and

      Definitely Megabits, apologies if I mispoke in the vid.
      FWIW over here MB is Megabytes, Mb is megabits, mb would be anyone's guess, and our internet service providers LOVE that people conflate them :(
