Exactly, I only had 250kb/s internet until this Christmas when I got 7mb/s. It's lightning fast by comparison and that's nowhere near enough to stream games.

@@celchronicles I think you mistake Mb/s for MB/s the mb/s the poster mentioned are megabit/s. And I can see that 7 are not great. Until a few weeks ago I had 8 mb/s and 1080p youtube at 30FPS was possible... but 60HZ wasnt. So thats already... problematic for gaming if everything else works great.

Yeah me too. Especially with the announcement of xcloud playability in browser sometime in spring. I’m a Mac household with Mac mini’s under the 2 big TVs, so I’m counting down the days for that. Thinking about getting a cheap windows mini pc to have dedicated apps for ps now and the future xcloud or Xbox app update, but as of now, I’m just finishing up cyberpunk and the tomb raider series on stadia with little to no complaints.

ALSO, they didn't mention Shadow PC. Shadow is king of cloud gaming. Its not just a program like Steam or Stadia where you can only play games. It is literally a Windows 10 gaming PC on any device. You don't dont need to re-purchase any games. If you had games on Steam, Blizzard, Uplay, or Epic, you just re-download those programs and re-install your library like normal. There are multiple tiers too. The 1st tier can do 4K @ 60fps, 1440 @ 120fps, and 1080 @ 144fps. Thanks for coming to my tedtalk
To be fair, if you're the type of person deep enough in the hobby to be playing more than that, you probably also have the dosh for a good enough rig that you wouldn't need it in the first place. (And if you don't yet, that's on you for not putting aside some game time to instead dig up some good deals on older parts.)

Ik I can get a decent pc with that, but I want to do game design as well so I want the newer amd cpu and nvidia gpu. So I'm looking around $3700. It's a possible budget for me, I just have to be patient instead of blowing away my money again lol.
Well, it depends where you live. I can play GeForce Now @1080/60/competitive while my sister watches YT or Netflix @1080, but just barely. But gigabit is a phone call away with no extra cost if I can convince my father to do it

When I used Geforce Now on my phone playing on lunch breaks I thought it worked pretty damn well. It's sad that publishers and developers keeps removing games from it though.
I live in Brazil, which is not a country supported by GeForce now, and it is insane that I am playing on a server 5000 km away from my home and there is no high latency or packet loss even playing on fullHD
Just realise that even the slightest latency can rip all the joy out of playing an online game because you will have the feeling that you have a constant lag or delay in your actions
Yeah, this is why i don't get too excited with the cloud gaming hype. However, i would like to see services offering cloud windows where we can use GPU demanding applications (video editors, 3d modelling, game engines, etc).

I don't understand this point. Unless you buy a disk you never physically own your games no matter the platform. If steam went bankrupt tomorrow, guess where all your games would go. If Xbox went bankrupt tomorrow, guess where all your digital games would go. Baring in mind Google makes more money than both those example companies, it is the least likely to go bankrupt. I get why people would make the point about Google's history of cancelled projects and products but this is also totally invalid. Microsoft likely has just as many cancelled projects that they are just not as transparent as Google about, every company does. But if you look at the actual stats and feedback from current players instead of the loud minority of PC gamers that have never actually tried it, stadia is a hit for Google. It has already grown a massive player base for the time it's been out despite the lack of games and it is already making them a ton of money. Could you imagine the legal ramifications if they all of a sudden decided to take products people have paid for away from them. Personally, I think stadia is hands down better than every other console on the market. I would rather have the occasional frame skip in my game than spending hours waiting for games to update, having to delete old games to make space for new ones and sit through ridiculously long loading screens. I already have more playable games on stadia than I do on my PS4 purely because my PS4 can only really store around 10 games on it before you have to start deleting things. EVERY GAME I HAVE BOUGHT ON STADIA IS ALWAYS THERE, ALWAYS UP TO DATE AND WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE AND UP TO DATE WHENEVER AND WHEREVER I WANT TO PLAY THEM.
The fact that I was able to play The Last of Us on my PC like 5 years ago on PSNow (did not own a Playstation console) with a free trial makes it the ultimate winner in my book, that's one gaming experience I'll never forget.

When xcloud fully launches that would make sense. Microsoft are pushing their data centre stuff quite hard so I don't see them dropping it really. Be nice if it ends up bundled with Xbox games pass ultimate.

A revisiting of video game streaming platforms would actually make for a very compelling video considering Xbox Cloud Gaming is available everywhere, Google Stadia has changed their business model, Amazon has introduced their own and all of these services have gotten better about latency, not to mention the fact that graphics cards and current generation video game consoles are pretty hard to come by even still.

I would be a bit surprised if Google didn't pay Bungie anything to allow them to give away the paid portions of the game, but it is possible.
In France, we have a thing that's a bit different but work for games. "Shadow" from a compagny called Blade. This is a Cloud Computer and run pretty well.
I think we are missing the big picture here. I am now able to play high-end games on a 12-year old Linux box with no graphics card. This tech essentially turns ANY rusty old machine into a gaming rig! So what if the experience is not flawless?

I think that's the plan, you'll be able to ask the Google Assistant questions about the game you're playing. That said, Stadia is still very unfinished (it's a mystery why they don't just add a "beta" tag), so it'll be some time before it actually becomes ultra amazing.
Destiny's HDR Blackpoint is bugged, so doing any Blackpoint calibration effectively ruins your image. This is a known bug and Bungie will be fixing it in the coming weeks. Whitepoint is ok though.
@@con1019 answer from a person that never played stadia, you don't need do highs speed, I can have a 1gb speed but can play easily 4k with 200mb and can with much lower speeds... In normal country, that is not like a 3 world country that's speeds it's the normal in every house
Really? Looked amazing on my 4k tv. Granted it was only 30fps but it looked great. When I disabled HDR then I got about 100fps. Destiny 2 is one of the only games I've ever played that even on medium/low it still looks great. I remember when medium/low was trash compared to high/ultra. 8700k & 1080Ti

I've had a blast using Shadow Cloud PC. A full windows10 desktop where you can install and run anything you want. This freedom is what none of the other streaming services offer.

psiFellow shadow is more expensive tho. For 4.99/mo you can get a 24gb Nvidia Tesla on GeForce now. On shadow it’s 49.99/mo for the same graphics card. Although you can do more with shadow, if you’re only doing steam/uplay/ea gaming, GeForce now is fine.

You left out Shadow Gaming, by far the best cloud gaming service in my experience. A full Windows gaming pc in the cloud on which you can install anything, no blocked games like Geforce. The little guys always get forgotten about, which is a shame as they have the best business model.
Yeah but do you need access to an entire computer? The answer would probably be sometimes, because it sounds like you can use any game client you want, or just outright install it. But if it becomes popular enough, what is to stop game developers looking at Shadow Gaming the same way it does GeForce, and just blacklist them as well?
@@jasonh1498 Shadow is the biggest of all cloud gaming services with over 70.000 customers right now in many countrys. its just not that offensive kind of pr like you know google does e.g ... buts its huge and its in contact with all publishers to make this possible. The even managed to be whitelisted for blizzards vm ban detection, so players wont get banned from wow or so by using shadow, so no problem here ...and yes, you can use every launcher, like you do on your pc, because IT IS a pc :)
shadow is fine until its not, the devs have no idea how to fix any of the issues they are having and simply restart your service making you wait another 3 to 4weeks for another start. also the worst customer service in the industry.
A good thing to note with streaming any of these services to a phone or tablet: If you happen to be on a 2.4ghz connection, you will have a terrible experience when using bluetooth controllers. Normally bluetooth interference isn't such a big deal, but in this case it will render games unplayable.
I've had great results with Blade Shadow. On their VM, my videos were rendering in minutes instead of hours. Man... my life has gone downhill since I moved to a slow internet area.
With 1 / 3 of the worlds population staying home and streaming, leaving me with 1Mbit/s max speed for a entire household..... I dont think this is a viable option haha
You can change the settings to what ever you want on GeForce now, disabling v-sync helps lower latency a lot, also you can max out the settings in all modern games and still get over 60fps most the time.
Geforce now is actually really nice, I had some minor issues with Subnautica but all the other games I've tried have worked really well with minimal input lag and decent image quality. I do have decent internet and I am fairly close to one of the EU data centres though so your mileage may vary. I just wish devs would stop pulling games from it there really is little to no reason to and they're cutting off potential customers who don't have PCs powerful enough for the devs game, but might consider buying it they can play it on a remote machine.

They gave Stadia a totally biased view here. Using two of the worst games to showcase the potential. The Division 2 or Doom Eternal would have been so much better. They seem to grasp it with "GFN is just a gaming rig in the cloud" but fail to grasp that Stadia is a platform. It's elastic. Growing. Improving. The technology behind it is impressive. It works. Game Streaming works. GFN is NOT easier to use.

Thats what i was thinking. And linus did a walkthrough of their labs a while back. Not gonna lie been using shadow for 2 years now its great. And i habe 100mbs (notMBs)no issue at all no artifacts or anything very little delay almost 30ms and that is virtuaLly unseeable
why didnt you show off shadow? i used shadow for a short while when my GPU melted due to a random mod in fallout 4 of all things.... i didnt have the cash for a decent replacement on hand so i paid the 20 bucks or whatever a month and saved up and got a 2080ti. going with shadow meant that i could play all of my games from either pc (sans a GPU) or from my laptop or other devices. and didnt have to rush to buy a midrange card that i knew i wouldnt want to keep around. wasting money because of a short term need.

I tried to play Anno1800 on geforce now on my macbook air. 1) queued for half an houre 2) got in, got terrible game quality 3) changed settings that needed a reboot 4) reboot = queue again pleb 5) don't have middlemouse on touchpad 6) cry pixelated rivers
I used shadow since September 2018 in Germany. Now it’s so bad on performance. My GTX 1060 with a Xeon w3680 is much faster than my current shadow vm. So I can’t recommend it for now

The Rage Commenter they cant acces your cloud PC. they give your the resources but all the setup stuff is privat to you. also its not about being "too lazy" for some people its simply more affordable to have a cloud pc for 15$/m then investing in a highend PC around 2000$ at once. so they are not lazy - they just dont have the money. also its insanely good to have acces to your pc anywhere - even from your smartphone.

One of the services not mentioned here, Shadow, does have a Linux client. And gives you a full Windows machine to run other Windows software you might need.
This is a big thing in my opinion, while I like at least 60fps (I use 144hz anyway), my biggest problem with low framerate isn't the choppiness, but the input lag. say that you used vsync with 60fps and got like 40ms response times, and then had 30fps without and got 30ms, I'd prefer the lower framerate.
it just sucks in general. Good luck playing a fast-paced game like a racing game (f1) or anything with a mouse/keyboard. I get motion sickness with a tv with no "gaming low latency mode" even when I play a slow paced game, like something between 50-100ms lag is too much. Stadia was higher if I remember correctly
@@MHWGamer I actually do simrace with a wheel lol, i don't ever have to worry about low frames as i got a beast pc, but like I say, input lag is worse in my opinion, of course they usually come at the same time as each other, so this is irrelevant anyway lol
It's most likely that you have to try these streaming services by yourself, because the actual servers could be close or far away. The distances causes more latency, and/or compression than others

But you need to re buy games on switch for example, on pc, on consoles, even on each new generations of consoles (i know it may become different next gen), you get the point, in a new platform you need to buy the game again, xcloud doesn't require you to buy the games again because it's part of the xbox platform, geforce now is using the idea that it's technically a pc on the cloud, but I don't think that's gonna last, stadia is a brand new platform, like a ps4, if you have games on Xbox you shouldn't expect them to be on the ps4 you just bought.
Linus made a video on a streaming service called shadow a few years ago and I haven't had any problems with it. Very Very low latency and great performance.

Your right but at the time and now I don’t have enough money to spend on a gaming pc so this was the next best choice. And I run a Ethernet cable into my old computer and it runs great. When it gets really late then I start to see issues but during the day. It’s awesome. No Regrets.

Could you guys try out Shadow. It is a Cloud Gaming Service where you get a VM with Windows 10 on it and you can do with it what ever you want. There are three types of thiers but now only the lowest thier is avaiable but the other two will be activated at gegin 2021 so maybe you could show it because in my opinion it is really cool and just not enough people that know it.
@@chlorophyllphileIn short: 10bit colour output is preferred in hdr, which (at 4k) doesn't allow high black level. 8bit 4k hdr Does allow. Only pg27uq n few other monitors support both together. It's unknown what video output settings the stadia has, but the tv auto detected the wrong rgb range (aka Black level)

They couldn't have tried Shadow anyways, they're located in Canada and Shadow isn't supported there. It also doesn't seem like a very good service to me when compared to the big 4 game streaming services in the video.
@@Kortexual YMMD, I love naive people. The only issue for Shadow is that it isn't such a big company and only starts now for America. That's why most american gamers don't know what is coming for them. But the service itself exist already in europe for 2 years and makes the current 4 BIG game-streaming-services looking like toys for kids. Why? Because the performance is much higher, even currently with only the Boost subscription: Latency is much lower, you can change your Resolution up to 4K with 60hz or 1080p with 144hz and is fascinating how fast hey develop and fix things. I bet, even with LTTs internet-provider could handle this now and a question to test Blade Shadow, they would've got an account for testing without problems.
@@nemeth-it Sorry to disappoint, but Shadow has multiple documented issues and can be unreliable depending on what country you are in. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they've been advertising in North America since the beginning, yet still haven't made their way into Canada, which is incredibly disappointing. Also if you're concerned about privacy, Shadow's privacy policy about what information they collect won't really reassure you either. Lastly, there is nothing on Shadow's end that they can do to reduce latency beyond what the big 4 game streaming services are doing. It's all based on distance from their servers, and I suppose if you're in Europe, where everything is much closer, yes, you would get lower latency than the game streaming services used in North America. It's going to be a bigger problem when they try to integrate into the North American market, where countries are much bigger and more spacious. Shadow also basically has the Cloud PC market in a monopoly, which means that they have no real competition and no reason to improve any of their services or fix any of their problems. I also dislike people that try to discredit others by calling them naive or inept, it's incredibly condescending and rude.
I've been using GeForce Now since relatively early in the beta, and since the start it's worked basically flawlessly for me. I have a decent gaming PC at home, but at my school they didn't have GeForce Now blocked and I had no lag issues running things even on the school WiFi (100-ish mbps down, 20-ish up most of the time)

Sony's PSNow is going strong for 6 years now, and you don't have to re-buy any game, you literally just play whatever you want (given it's available ofc)... Stadia works amazing for me... I can play on hospital WiFi with no issues. Lag is same like wireless Xbox controllers ... at home on my pc I have no issues over my wired Fiber connection here in Germany. Really sad this shit works good for a few people. Fucking google
Alpha17x Based on my own experience, GFN is unplayable(laggy and sometimes blurry) in peak hours(evenings and weekends) with paid membership, let alone the free one. Do you have the same problem?
@@jameshou7911 I've been using it for more than a year and rarely have I ever had any issue or lag. I dont know what you consider peak hours but I haven't had any issue on any hour. I have a bog standard 400/100mbit fiber connection

ALSO, they didn't mention Shadow PC. Shadow is king of cloud gaming. Its not just a program like Steam or Stadia where you can only play games. It is literally a Windows 10 gaming PC on any device. You don't dont need to re-purchase any games. If you had games on Steam, Blizzard, Uplay, or Epic, you just re-download those programs and re-install your library like normal. There are multiple tiers too. The 1st tier can do 4K @ 60fps, 1440 @ 120fps, and 1080 @ 144fps. Thanks for coming to my tedtalk

I don't understand this point. Unless you buy a disk you never physically own your games no matter the platform. If steam went bankrupt tomorrow, guess where all your games would go. If Xbox went bankrupt tomorrow, guess where all your digital games would go. Baring in mind Google makes more money than both those example companies, it is the least likely to go bankrupt.
I get why people would make the point about Google's history of cancelled projects and products but this is also totally invalid. Microsoft likely has just as many cancelled projects that they are just not as transparent as Google about, every company does. But if you look at the actual stats and feedback from current players instead of the loud minority of PC gamers that have never actually tried it, stadia is a hit for Google. It has already grown a massive player base for the time it's been out despite the lack of games and it is already making them a ton of money. Could you imagine the legal ramifications if they all of a sudden decided to take products people have paid for away from them.
Personally, I think stadia is hands down better than every other console on the market. I would rather have the occasional frame skip in my game than spending hours waiting for games to update, having to delete old games to make space for new ones and sit through ridiculously long loading screens. I already have more playable games on stadia than I do on my PS4 purely because my PS4 can only really store around 10 games on it before you have to start deleting things.
EVERY GAME I HAVE BOUGHT ON STADIA IS ALWAYS THERE, ALWAYS UP TO DATE AND WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE AND UP TO DATE WHENEVER AND WHEREVER I WANT TO PLAY THEM.
The fact that I was able to play The Last of Us on my PC like 5 years ago on PSNow (did not own a Playstation console) with a free trial makes it the ultimate winner in my book, that's one gaming experience I'll never forget.

A revisiting of video game streaming platforms would actually make for a very compelling video considering Xbox Cloud Gaming is available everywhere, Google Stadia has changed their business model, Amazon has introduced their own and all of these services have gotten better about latency, not to mention the fact that graphics cards and current generation video game consoles are pretty hard to come by even still.

I think that's the plan, you'll be able to ask the Google Assistant questions about the game you're playing. That said, Stadia is still very unfinished (it's a mystery why they don't just add a "beta" tag), so it'll be some time before it actually becomes ultra amazing.

Destiny 2 is one of the only games I've ever played that even on medium/low it still looks great. I remember when medium/low was trash compared to high/ultra.

You didn’t test Shadow or Parsec. Shadow is very good imho, I play everywhere - living room, upstairs office, my MacBook Pro, iPad, etc.
You left out Shadow Gaming, by far the best cloud gaming service in my experience. A full Windows gaming pc in the cloud on which you can install anything, no blocked games like Geforce. The little guys always get forgotten about, which is a shame as they have the best business model.

Yeah but do you need access to an entire computer? The answer would probably be sometimes, because it sounds like you can use any game client you want, or just outright install it. buts its huge and its in contact with all publishers to make this possible. The even managed to be whitelisted for blizzards vm ban detection, so players wont get banned from wow or so by using shadow, so no problem here ...and yes, you can use every launcher, like you do on your pc, because IT IS a pc :)
shadow is fine until its not, the devs have no idea how to fix any of the issues they are having and simply restart your service making you wait another 3 to 4weeks for another start. also the worst customer service in the industry.
A good thing to note with streaming any of these services to a phone or tablet: If you happen to be on a 2.4ghz connection, you will have a terrible experience when using bluetooth controllers. Normally bluetooth interference isn't such a big deal, but in this case it will render games unplayable.

I've had great results with Blade Shadow. On their VM, my videos were rendering in minutes instead of hours.

Shadow is a pretty good "cloud gaming" plateform. Too bad they missed it.

You can change the settings to what ever you want on GeForce now, disabling v-sync helps lower latency a lot, also you can max out the settings in all modern games and still get over 60fps most the time.
Geforce now is actually really nice, I had some minor issues with Subnautica but all the other games I've tried have worked really well with minimal input lag and decent image quality. I do have decent internet and I am fairly close to one of the EU data centres though so your mileage may vary. I just wish devs would stop pulling games from it there really is little to no reason to and they're cutting off potential customers who don't have PCs powerful enough for the devs game, but might consider buying it they can play it on a remote machine.

I've had absolutely no issues with Stadia, being able to play during a holiday by just taking a chromecast and a phone with you.

They gave Stadia a totally biased view here. Using two of the worst games to showcase the potential. The Division 2 or Doom Eternal would have been so much better.
They seem to grasp it with "GFN is just a gaming rig in the cloud" but fail to grasp that Stadia is a platform. It's elastic. Growing. Improving. The technology behind it is impressive. It works. Game Streaming works.

It charges people for games, even if they already own them in another platform. And they can charge more for it, so the worst aspects of console gaming without the advantages of PC gaming.

Not gonna lie been using shadow for 2 years now its great. And i habe 100mbs (notMBs)no issue at all no artifacts or anything very little delay almost 30ms and that is virtuaLly unseeable
Also use shadow, its good 85% of the time
I have tried them all and shadow is by far the most worth it.
I was just about to mention shadow, my brother uses it until I can afford to get him a gaming laptop, I have a fully custom built desktop

why didnt you show off shadow? i used shadow for a short while when my GPU melted due to a random mod in fallout 4 of all things.... i didnt have the cash for a decent replacement on hand so i paid the 20 bucks or whatever a month and saved up and got a 2080ti. going with shadow meant that i could play all of my games from either pc (sans a GPU) or from my laptop or other devices. and didnt have to rush to buy a midrange card that i knew i wouldnt want to keep around. wasting money because of a short term need.

I tried to play Anno1800 on geforce now on my macbook air.
1) queued for half an houre
2) got in, got terrible game quality
3) changed settings that needed a reboot
4) reboot = queue again pleb
5) don't have middlemouse on touchpad
6) cry pixelated rivers
gotta have really fast wifi otherwise the experience is a total letdown

I used shadow since September 2018 in Germany. Now it’s so bad on performance. My GTX 1060 with a Xeon w3680 is much faster than my current shadow vm. So I can’t recommend it for now
It would be interesting to see a follow up to this, as services seem to be evolving all the time right now.
Honestly though, this technology would be much more of useful on gpu demanding things where latency doesn't matter as much such as video editing, rendering, vm machine, etc.
I use geforce now all the time from my mobile data works great 90% of the time no noticeable lag or anything

The Rage Commenter they cant acces your cloud PC. they give your the resources but all the setup stuff is privat to you. also its not about being "too lazy" for some people its simply more affordable to have a cloud pc for 15$/m then investing in a highend PC around 2000$ at once. so they are not lazy - they just dont have the money. also its insanely good to have acces to your pc anywhere - even from your smartphone.

One of the services not mentioned here, Shadow, does have a Linux client. And gives you a full Windows machine to run other Windows software you might need.

This is a big thing in my opinion, while I like at least 60fps (I use 144hz anyway), my biggest problem with low framerate isn't the choppiness, but the input lag.
say that you used vsync with 60fps and got like 40ms response times, and then had 30fps without and got 30ms, I'd prefer the lower framerate.
it just sucks in general. Good luck playing a fast-paced game like a racing game (f1) or anything with a mouse/keyboard. I get motion sickness with a tv with no "gaming low latency mode" even when I play a slow paced game, like something between 50-100ms lag is too much. Stadia was higher if I remember correctly
@@MHWGamer I actually do simrace with a wheel lol, i don't ever have to worry about low frames as i got a beast pc, but like I say, input lag is worse in my opinion, of course they usually come at the same time as each other, so this is irrelevant anyway lol

It's most likely that you have to try these streaming services by yourself, because the actual servers could be close or far away. The distances causes more latency, and/or compression than others

Pol Ber the bundled version of D2 on Stadia apparently is the full collection so there’s the paid expansions you have to consider

But you need to re buy games on switch for example, on pc, on consoles, even on each new generations of consoles (i know it may become different next gen), you get the point, in a new platform you need to buy the game again, xcloud doesn't require you to buy the games again because it's part of the xbox platform, geforce now is using the idea that it's technically a pc on the cloud, but I don't think that's gonna last, stadia is a brand new platform, like a ps4, if you have games on Xbox you shouldn't expect them to be on the ps4 you just bought.

Your right but at the time and now I don’t have enough money to spend on a gaming pc so this was the next best choice. And I run a Ethernet cable into my old computer and it runs great. When it gets really late then I start to see issues but during the day. It’s awesome. No Regrets.

I use GeForce now it’s great but you must have a good internet or you will experience terrible pixelation , noise cutting out and game freezing

Could you guys try out Shadow. It is a Cloud Gaming Service where you get a VM with Windows 10 on it and you can do with it what ever you want. There are three types of thiers but now only the lowest thier is avaiable but the other two will be activated at gegin 2021 so maybe you could show it because in my opinion it is really cool and just not enough people that know it.

It's unknown what video output settings the stadia has, but the tv auto detected the wrong rgb range (aka Black level)

They couldn't have tried Shadow anyways, they're located in Canada and Shadow isn't supported there. It also doesn't seem like a very good service to me when compared to the big 4 game streaming services in the video.
@@Kortexual YMMD, I love naive people. The only issue for Shadow is that it isn't such a big company and only starts now for America. That's why most american gamers don't know what is coming for them.
But the service itself exist already in europe for 2 years and makes the current 4 BIG game-streaming-services looking like toys for kids. Why? Because the performance is much higher, even currently with only the Boost subscription: Latency is much lower, you can change your Resolution up to 4K with 60hz or 1080p with 144hz and is fascinating how fast hey develop and fix things.
I bet, even with LTTs internet-provider could handle this now and a question to test Blade Shadow, they would've got an account for testing without problems.

@@nemeth-it Sorry to disappoint, but Shadow has multiple documented issues and can be unreliable depending on what country you are in. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they've been advertising in North America since the beginning, yet still haven't made their way into Canada, which is incredibly disappointing. Also if you're concerned about privacy, Shadow's privacy policy about what information they collect won't really reassure you either.
Lastly, there is nothing on Shadow's end that they can do to reduce latency beyond what the big 4 game streaming services are doing. It's all based on distance from their servers, and I suppose if you're in Europe, where everything is much closer, yes, you would get lower latency than the game streaming services used in North America. It's going to be a bigger problem when they try to integrate into the North American market, where countries are much bigger and more spacious.
Shadow also basically has the Cloud PC market in a monopoly, which means that they have no real competition and no reason to improve any of their services or fix any of their problems.
I also dislike people that try to discredit others by calling them naive or inept, it's incredibly condescending and rude.

I've been using GeForce Now since relatively early in the beta, and since the start it's worked basically flawlessly for me. I have a decent gaming PC at home, but at my school they didn't have GeForce Now blocked and I had no lag issues running things even on the school WiFi (100-ish mbps down, 20-ish up most of the time)
That's insanely fast for school wifi
Mines like 300 down and 200 up, but alot of things are blocked

Facts. Stadia has been doing better than the rest of these services. I use it and don’t see myself going back to consoles or pc gaming.
I once streamed playing a MMO while I was in Massachusetts on my school wifi/laptop from a friend's computer that was in Nebraska.
Stadia works amazing for me... I can play on hospital WiFi with no issues. Lag is same like wireless Xbox controllers ... at home on my pc I have no issues over my wired Fiber connection here in Germany. Really sad this shit works good for a few people. Fucking google
The only one that's worked 'well' for me, has been GFN. Playstation Now was a close second.

Alpha17x Based on my own experience, GFN is unplayable(laggy and sometimes blurry) in peak hours(evenings and weekends) with paid membership, let alone the free one. Do you have the same problem?
@@jameshou7911 I've been using it for more than a year and rarely have I ever had any issue or lag. I dont know what you consider peak hours but I haven't had any issue on any hour. I have a bog standard 400/100mbit fiber connection
@@fgsaramago I've experienced no lag in the mornings but it lagged every 5-10 seconds in the evenings. BTW are you using Nvidia Shield, I saw a comment on Nvidia's forum saying that only Shield users have smooth experience in the evenings
