These credits make me cry, this was the first game I ever owned, came out a year before I was born and I still have the cartridge of the game, playing rainbow road to sit through this will always make me cry and it will never stop, thank you Nintendo for my second favourite childhood racing game, number 1 being Need for Speed Hot Persecute(2010).

I can imagine.. having this game as your childhood staple, growing up with it, hearing this theme for the first time or years and years later… it would drive me to tears for sure. I may not fully understand how much this game means to people, but I can definitely understand what it’s like to hold a Mario Kart game close to my heart. 😊

At the end of every Saturday, I’d always sit in the car playing it on the way home with a nice sunset in the background, and I’d damn near fall asleep to this beat while watching the clouds outside my car window when I was a child. This beat was so beautiful and has aged perfectly. It’s almost 20 years old and is pretty much perfect😋
Strangely enough I grew up with this game but the staff roll doesn’t get me emotional at all, maybe the soundfont isn’t great for that, Mario Kart Wii thought, that one always gets me.

This is very relaxing and calming to listen to after an.. well, less pleasant game of something (Overwatch, that game boils my blood to vapor). Game went awful but im calm af now. Love OST's. especially from games 10/10
