Played odyssey as a depressed 6th grader because I moved and went to a new school and got bullied. When I got to this level in the game it gave me hope. This game will forever be my favorite. I always wanted a switch when it came out and the day odyssey released I bought it. Such a joy to play because it made me feel important.

Whoever had the idea some years ago of "don't get me wrong. Galaxy's soundtrack was AMAZING. but you know what fits Mario even better? SWING AND BIG BAND JAZZ!" Yeah, whoever said that at nintendo should recieve a goddamn medal.
Noah Schneider that was my point. I wouldn't call Mario 64 big band-ish due to limitations. But ever since Mario 3D World Nintendo have decided that Big band and jazz are the musical themes that fit Mario the most and for that I'm super grateful.
This song makes me so emotional. It may sound dumb (and late), but this was just the perfect song for the Nintendo comeback. For so many years the company was ridiculed for being childish, not having grown up games, having a less powerful console, etc. Then came those amazing titles with the Switch, and knocked the competition out in many ways. When Pauline sings "You're still our 1UP boy ", it reminds us of the legacy that Mario has not finished building, and just like she says, we are the ones who've made it this far. When this song was played in the Game Show Awards, and so many used that Mario Hat, I don't know, it felt like the return of a king, (Sorry if my english is not good)
The fact that they have childish games never mattered. Super Smash Bros. Melee has a community of grownups and such competitively playing, and it was mean't to be a kids game. Nintendo has great games, games dont have to be mature for them to be great. Pretty much is what the Mario seried as a whole is. Childish at times, but great.

Playing Mario for nearly 40 years. I got a Switch for my 6 year old for Xmas last year. Playing this game with my son is truly one of those passing of the torch moments in life I never realized would happen. I played Mario with my Dad decades ago and now I play it with my son. Getting choked up thinking about it. Nintendo brings families together. Thank you Miyamoto.
Keep that feeling. My dad shared his passion of gaming with me and even tho he is no longer here I have that same passion. It reminds me of the love he had for me.

Super Mario Odyssey is a very special game to me. It and my switch were the last gifts my Dad helped me buy (with a bit of help from myself and Mom) for my 21st birthday before he passed away a month later. By then, I had already 100%-ed the game. It holds a very special place in my heart. This song is definitely a "lift your spirits" song with a nice feel-good vibe to it, a far cry from most of the noise most radios blare. I'm grateful my Dad helped me get this game and my Switch. Love you, Dad. Rest well up there.

Even though this song hasn't been around for even a decade, it feels like it's been around forever (whatever forever means to you). It's such a comforting song and emotional as a long time Mario fan. I'll never forget how i felt going through this segment in the game. (Also Donkey Kong stage music that is briefly played blew my mind at the time)
I'm really depressed. But even in my worst moments of headspace, I get myself up to dance to this. I suggest that you should as well. You'll feel so much better, just stepping outside to enjoy the sunshine while listening to the most upbeat song of the decade.

It’s 2022 and I finally decided to pick this game up, and after a few hours of playing it I’ve been wondering why the hell did I wait this long?!? Such an incredible game. Definitely the best Mario game I’ve played, and the music is incredible to say the least!
Same! I had it for over a year on my shelf and didn’t play it until recently mostly due to college and didn’t want to start playing while I was swamped with homework. Finally got some time off and it was a masterpiece! A true sequel to Mario 64 for newer and older fans alike!🤗 I wish I could replay it without having experienced it already to relive all the surprises and kingdoms for the first time again!

Look at Super Mario 64: It never really fits any of those, and it's one of the best, if not THE best Mario game. Sunshine had a French/Latin esque I guess, but never jazzy. Mario World and 3 weren't fit into any of those categories. Same with Galaxy. I just love this theme.

This song might just be the very best of any video game ever. It is cheery, and emotional, and the voice actress has such a beautiful voice. It always makes me shed a tear and get goosebumps.
The thing i find cool is it has so many references to older games while also being about the new mario odyssey, like it appeals to ANY time of mario fan doesn't matter if they started playing now or a long time ago, this song will always hit them the same. It's perfect
I don't think it's the best videogame song ever, but I think it's the best mario song. It expresses perfectly what mario is about, just pure FUN. It's very cheesy, but so is the mario franchise in general, and it doesn't have to be any more that that

I feel like after Iwata died during the development of BoTW, Nintendo decided the next game had to be amazing, everything about it. Even the story seems to go above and beyond for the Mario series.
It was confirmed when 3D World came out, that they were working on another 3D Mario Game, this was it, that game came out in 2013, Iwata died in 2015, plus he's in the credits I think.
The switch, Botw, and Odyssey are iwata's legacy. Nintendo HAD to make these games LEGENDARY. (Also, has anyone else been misspelling odyssey as oddesy for a stupidly long time?)
It’s truly a celebration of Mario’s history and I love it so much! This whole sequence had me with tears in my eyes it felt like the greatest love letter to Mario and his world.
Super Mario Odyssey is the best Mario game out there, along with Super Mario 64, and Galaxy 1. Cappy is a great throw back to Super Mario 64 DS. The whole game is a throwback to 64, kind of.

Played odyssey as a depressed 6th grader because I moved and went to a new school and got bullied. When I got to this level in the game it gave me hope. This game will forever be my favorite. I always wanted a switch when it came out and the day odyssey released I bought it. Such a joy to play because it made me feel important.

This song makes me so emotional. It may sound dumb (and late), but this was just the perfect song for the Nintendo comeback. For so many years the company was ridiculed for being childish, not having grown up games, having a less powerful console, etc. Then came those amazing titles with the Switch, and knocked the competition out in many ways. The fact that they have childish games never mattered. Super Smash Bros. Melee has a community of grownups and such competitively playing, and it was mean't to be a kids game. Nintendo has great games, games dont have to be mature for them to be great. Pretty much is what the Mario seried as a whole is. Childish at times, but great.

Playing this game with my son is truly one of those passing of the torch moments in life I never realized would happen. I played Mario with my Dad decades ago and now I play it with my son. Super Mario Odyssey is a very special game to me. It and my switch were the last gifts my Dad helped me buy (with a bit of help from myself and Mom) for my 21st birthday before he passed away a month later. By then, I had already 100%-ed the game. It holds a very special place in my heart. This song is definitely a "lift your spirits" song with a nice feel-good vibe to it, a far cry from most of the noise most radios blare. I'm grateful my Dad helped me get this game and my Switch. Love you, Dad. Rest well up there.

Even though this song hasn't been around for even a decade, it feels like it's been around forever (whatever forever means to you). It's such a comforting song and emotional as a long time Mario fan. I'll never forget how i felt going through this segment in the game. (Also Donkey Kong stage music that is briefly played blew my mind at the time)

Look at Super Mario 64: It never really fits any of those, and it's one of the best, if not THE best Mario game. Sunshine had a French/Latin esque I guess, but never jazzy. Mario World and 3 weren't fit into any of those categories. Same with Galaxy. I just love this theme.

This song might just be the very best of any video game ever. It is cheery, and emotional, and the voice actress has such a beautiful voice. It always makes me shed a tear and get goosebumps.
The thing i find cool is it has so many references to older games while also being about the new mario odyssey, like it appeals to ANY time of mario fan doesn't matter if they started playing now or a long time ago, this song will always hit them the same. It's perfect

I feel like after Iwata died during the development of BoTW, Nintendo decided the next game had to be amazing, everything about it. Even the story seems to go above and beyond for the Mario series.

I love how odyssey was an homage to every Mario game. It made me cry and I'm only 21.
It's like they took everything from Donkey Kong to Super Mario Maker and rolled it all up and packed it into Super Mario 64.
It’s truly a celebration of Mario’s history and I love it so much! This whole sequence had me with tears in my eyes it felt like the greatest love letter to Mario and his world.

Super Mario Odyssey is the best Mario game out there, along with Super Mario 64, and Galaxy 1. Cappy is a great throw back to Super Mario 64 DS. The whole game is a throwback to 64, kind of.
