    Something worth mentioning is the impact these people can have on these innocent employees. My sister, a very quiet timid lady had a shotgun put in her face when robbers came into her shop. Not happy with just scaring her to death, they verbally abused her because of her size and spat at her. This was about 20 years ago and she was never the same again. The only time she goes out is to work, that's it. She still does the same work and gets verbally abused almost daily. It's so sad, as her brother i feel powerless. These bad guys can change lives, no question, and this should be taken into account when caught and sentenced.

      There's nothing like Jesus Christ my friend! No matter how much we can try to love and protect others, this world is temporary and it's just a short time before we go where we belong!
      May God bless you and your family, do not fear and do not let your heart be troubled be of good cheer Christ has overcome this fallen crazy world!
      Us humans need Jesus! My dad was a cop and that really put a lot of stress on me as a child there were days I would beg him not to go to work.
      He was on a special operation with his team one day and they were searching for a suspect who was wanted for crime he did.
      They found the place where he allegedly was reported to stay at but the problem was the officers couldn't find him, so they set up shop in the lower part of the building and as time passed they became weary and fell asleep. They woke up to the guy wanted for the crime alongside his wife who woke up my dad and his team to coffee and cookies!
      So yeah I know what you're thinking but still kind of like when Saul went looking for kind David and fell asleep and David had the chance to kill Saul but cut off a piece of his robe instead to let him know that God showed you mercy!
      Moral of the story my friend is no matter what we are all sinners and we hurt one another but there is still special people left the world is still beautiful those buttholes that did that to your sister have to answer to God one day. We cannot stop living because some idiots are selfish and careless for God's creation!
      Keep on keeping on, this is coming from a boy who lived through war, poverty and famine. Who saw his school blow up in the 3d grade!
      There's nothing like Jesus Christ who gives us strength, peace , courage and everlasting life!! Much love bro!! Keep your head up and your eyes on the prize!!

Without being under stress I'm a 1 sec draw to 1st shot. That stress probably adds at least a full sec. But when or if it ever comes down to it. There are many reasons why people won't carry, even in Texas. I think the top reason, though, is refusal to accept that it's necessary. The instant you leave the house with the gun, you're acknowledging the world is a dangerous place. Some just aren't ready to do that. Unfortunately, a few of those people will realize much too late they should have.

    • @myblacklab7
      @myblacklab7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      I think it's a more complicated analysis. There are a ton of reasons why it might be safer for a particular individual to not have a gun, and other reasons why the inconvenience might not be worth it for a particular individual.
      For example, if someone wants to go out to get drunk and rowdy, carrying a gun is usually more of a hazard than anything else.

    • @well_as_an_expert_id_say

      I think people are scared of the implications of carrying, without giving due thought to the implication of NOT carrying. Being in a gunfight is scary, incredibly scary. • @myblacklab7

    Most clerks and fast-food employees can't afford a gun, much less afford the costs involved with training to use one safely and effectively. Heck, in most cities, they can't even afford their own studio apartment.

      @charliep5139 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Meh...I'm sure they all got a smart phone and probably a better one than mine and probably one they upgrade every couple of years. Get a good used pistol and it'll last you a lifetime if you maintain it well. Heck, even a new one isn't that much. Plus, at least where I am, ammo prices are down significantly.
      A quality pistol, holster and belt will last you a lifetime. Also, going the range doesn't have to be that expensive. Many gun people, if you ask them, would be humbled if you ask them to help you how to shoot better

      You right, especially on minimum wage budget smh

    • @myblacklab7
      @myblacklab7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@charliep5139 Poor folks don't usually have more wealthy friends who will pay for their ammo and range time.
      Most clerks are there because they have no other options. They usually have many needs being unmet, such as dental work, or a desperately needed repair of their vehicle. They are often trying to save up so they can move out of a cramped living situation, and are usually failing to even be able to afford a studio apartment, much less have good enough credit to pass a credit check.
      To get started with gun ownership, it's necessary to shoot different ammo through the gun, not just to break it in, but to see if the ammo will even cycle. A gun that might not fire when you pull the trigger can be worse than no gun at all.
      When people are struggling to survive, and can't afford a needed root canal, brake job, or studio apartment, a gun is a luxury item for them.

      @@benjamin3615 You can find pistols for way less than that, but you need more than just the gun, if you want to be something other than a danger to yourself and others.
      I've heard it takes about 200 rounds to break in a gun - so that's $100 or so - more if you want to test JHP ammo. And where are you shooting it? Gotta spend time and money for that.
      You'll want a holster, and might need a whole new set of pants. Plus you may need to pay for a permit, and take the relevant class(es).
      You'll need a gun-cleaning kit, or at least the basics.
      Poor people are usually averse to things that are going to cost them money, because they don't have enough money to begin with.

    The first guy reminds me of being in the pawn shop the other day and a guy came in with a big empty army backpack on his back, facemask, hat, and thick gloves. No one in the store was wearing a mask and I live in a state where that's not common thing especially post Covid. Anyway, he comes into the store and just s few feet upon entering just starts looking at the display case to his right. Usually people walk to the front and talk to the pawn dealers or browse through the store not just stop a few feet upon entering. Anyways, I'm up at the front with the pawn dealers noticing all this with my tool on me and they aren't aware at all of this strange guy and his behavior. So I'm aware of what's going on and start heading to an aisle over and somewhat parallel to get a vantage point while simultaneously keeping my eyes on him the entire time. He notices me and probably 30 seconds later leaves the store. Didn't talk to the pawn dealers, didn't look around the store more. Just looked at that one glass case with his big empty army backpack, hat, mask, and gloves on and then left after he noticed me noticing him. I went back to the front to talk to the pawn dealer to see if she saw the guy maybe 20 to 30 feet in front of her and she didn't notice him.
    She was kind of in a lackidasical middle of the day partly dealing/helping another employee with a customer so I get it but man. Guy had all the red flags and stood out so much it was the oddest thing seeing him covered up that much with that big empty backpack on.

I joined, not a physically imposing guy, but intense & you can tell I don't want to be here, much less get pistol whipped as an easy mark. Whadayaknow, the robberies stopped entirely. I was too busy to stop most lifting, but looked at people enough to ensure they weren't at their leisure. Almost got ran over chasing down a guy that grabbed about 300$ of Tide Pods, by his getaway driver, got the plates, done deal. Got threatened to be shot by a previous lifter as he thought I gave a shit ab him on my break when I leapt up from my cig outside & ran to my 50$ new blade I'd bought & left on the floor. Screaming about me profiling him, thou dost protest too much. Tried to start a physical altercation, I was on break, I said what I wanted, & didn't care what went down. He wasn't leaving uninjured. Didn't even see the guy in my rush for my new knife. He never came back, after talking all this shit, being bigger, then the threat of a gun, the coward. Very distinct car. All it takes is a LITTLE resistance & this stops in places you can defend yourself & police arrest criminals. Once you/ they can't, likely no going back. Nola learning that now. No males again, the robberies have continued. F em'.

There are usually no way to prevent them without polygraphs since investigations are almost never successful and the thefts always continued with large sums of cash available against most corporation policies of cash security/handling...an unusual event that often indicates theft but can't prove it.

I'm glad it was me who gave you a ride. Just be careful about who you ride with, esp when you see they have a gun, like I do." (We live in MO, and he had a rifle in the gun rack in his truck - another tip-off that he was local.) I smiled and pulled my pistol out of my purse, just enough so he could see it. He gave me a thumbs-up. Of course I kept it locked up in my locker all day at work. So yes, some of us DO exercise our right to carry for self defense.

Police are ordered to hand out tickets like candy, instead of protecting people, its sick.
      I want more police that are meant to help people! Not glorified thieves in power.
      I’m not blaming the officers exactly, in some cases they have just been brainwashed it seems and see no wrong with their actions.

    Life is the most valuable asset we have. We must do everything in our power to protect it. Nothing is worth more, not a job, money, property or corrupt ideology. Arm yourself and train to be competent. Life is the foundation of everything we have or experience.

      @@asanitationstompout8473 that's a problem with mentality. No one is going to keep me from protecting my life and the lives of my loves ones. It's pretty simple. Have the right attitude for self-preservation and the rest sorts itself out.

    There's still a chance to stop the last one. Someone find where those clerks go to elementary school and warn them not to take that convenience store job in 15 years.

    Not condoning the robbery BUT the last one was pretty genius. No customers to worry about and only two employees that had no clue what just happened.
