I'm a luxury buyer who wants the passing power and warmth of a twin turbo v8. Is this car for me?
I havn't driven this yet. But I will say that one thing that disappoints me when trying to spec one out online is that it appears you can't get the same steering wheel that they offer on the S-Class. Have no idea why they would do that.
Haptic switches on the steering wheel is the worst idea the car industry has come up with in the past few years.
I don’t think it has the upgraded audio like you mentioned in the video otherwise you’d see speakers in the ceiling.
The s-class with an e-class interior
Technically, it is not an S Class in terms of the architecture. It is using a stretched platform derived from the GLE.
and wider... so is an s class suv, same can say for s class compared to e class, also there is gls maybach version...@@bobbbobb4663
Please review Rivian R1S
The X7 second row seats fold flat with the bench seat, and the captain chairs don't.
And other brands manage to have folding captain's chairs. BMW's answer was very poor.
Hey, that rear window is clean, you can turn off the rear wiper now...
Am not a Mercedes-benz fan(except the G-wagen) but if i was given just to choose between the S-class sedan & this Gls suv I'd definitely choose the Gls which has presence & i like the overall shape.its even more practical.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think this has the Burmester 3-D High End sound
I'm interested in the nymphotainment system.
When is the GLS due for a complete redesign?
If you pull off the lot and immediately lose 16-17 percent on resale value, was it ever really worth 120k?
If you have to look at the resale value of the vehicle you purchased, you don't belong in the GLS marketspace
We have a fairly basic 450. Sure the 6 isn’t going to have the character of the V8, but it is very smooth, has enough power and suits the vehicle well. It is easily the quietest vehicle we’ve ever owned and the handling is a bit deliberate but the ride is silky. Ours is on the base 20” wheels so it doesn’t consume tires every 10k. Even still, the thing scares me to death once the certified warranty runs out. So much so we will probably take a bath on it before then to trade into a more commodity product.
This channel confuses me sometimes
But I like it
I used to love the GL and GLS, until $50k markups.
I had an R350, and it was a nice minivan/suv. Close enough to the GL, back in the day.
Anyways, cold over there, over here in inland SoCal was 103, meanwhile stores are plagued with cold weather decor.
I don't understand why the R Class didn't do well. It was comfy, spacious, understated (didn't attract too much attention which I love) and practical.
You had me at creamy.
I would have bought one last time but found I could get not get comfortable. I am 6’5” tall. Lack of thigh support was a deal killer for me. Went for an Audi Q7. Seats are amazing!
The ultimate 3 row vehicle.) love it
Did hear him say the GLS580 has rear wheel steering? Is that correct or misspeak.
how do u compare this thing to a Lexus GX Lux? Substantially better?
The styling looks at least a decade old.
Old and boring people will love it.
Why would you recommend leasing over buying it?
The ultimate 3 row vehicle.
Can it bounce ?
Are they actually trolling us with the piano black steering wheel
The second row seats must be able to lift forward in any 3 row car or the manufacturer failed.
I really dislike the raised handles from the centre console. Can anyone change that opinion?
Certainly not me. It's a very strange design choice that i see in quite a lot of cars
I actually just drove this too. I own a VW Atlas with the v6 and I honestly can't believe the price difference. 100k more for gloss black steering wheel.
Mark, Should I trade my 2018 Land Cruiser (28K miles) for one of these with 11K miles on it? Available at local M-B dealership with extended warranty.
Mercedes simply the best 👌🏼💥
I have 12 subscription notices in my box just now. This was the 'best' video of all of them ... well, number 2. The best is the video on how WW3 is going to get started.
Gloss black steering wheel?? Or is that wood? Either way that's not great
piano gloss black steering wheel ⊙.☉
Is there a reason why you never reviewed the big Range Rover? Would be nice to compare it with the GLS. From what I've read, the new L460 RR rides like a Rolls-Royce.
If u weren’t “constantly interacting with her screen” u’d b constantly “interacting with 4 thousand 5 hundred buttons, switches & levers” with all of the vast array of options and settings new luxury cars have integrated with-in themselves. A screen allows for a cleaner dashboard/center console/driver area. I honestly couldn’t see how new full-featured vehicles could exist without screens.
Nobody needs a vehicle this big.
Spotted Destruction by Joywave on the infotainment. Excellent taste, Jark.
Gotta love the GLE dashboard...
Not sure if buying a house or this one. Could live in there.
Bmw X7>Merc. Sales speak for themselves, you see 10x times more X7's on the road than GLS's.
You had me a CREAMY!
in Ru$$ia this GLS580 will stand you about $200,000 the Maybach GLS $300,000. Parallel import all the from USA & other countries.
I’m too lazy to use the screens is what I heard. The start stop button is literally next to the button to start the car. That’s not to challenging.
