The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Is A Chic & Sophisticated Premium Electric Sedan

  • With the global success of the Ioniq 5 under its belt, #Hyundai is expanding the family with the sleekly styled 2023 #Ioniq6. This Tesla Model 3 rivaling sedan is built on the same excellent E-GMP platform as the 5, but with a slippery 0.22 coefficient of drag, it slips through the wind and allows for up to 366 miles of EV range. The 2023 #HyundaiIoniq6 is the more affordable electric sedan that should be up a good fight against Tesla, BMW, and Polestar.

    I wish they would just stop with the electronic pop-out handles & power charging doors. It just seems like it's either gonna break or get stuck if it gets iced over & there's plenty of videos of current owners of those complaining. 🙄🤦🏽‍♂️

    • @Snerdles
      @Snerdles ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even on my PHEV with a manual door it gets iced over or if left in the snow and charging won't close unless you get every spec of ice and snow out from it. Even then I had to lithium grease the piece that locks it closed because when it is too cold out it wouldn't spin in to place so you'd push it closed and it would just pop back open.
      To be truely usable in anywhere that gets real winders it needs a small heater around the latch and perimeter of the door.

    • @lryoung17
      @lryoung17 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Snerdles That's adding more complexity and cost yes it gets iced period you can't avoid that but electronics under hard force are more likely to get damaged vs something that's mechanical is what I'm saying no need to make it more expensive like EVs already are. I have yet to see people with normal cars complain vs how many vids there are of cars with unnecessary electronics on handles and fuel/battery door releases, you may like it but the avg user doesn't.

    Hyundai nailed it! What you need is sedan body with extreme low drag coef, good powetrain and you have a BEV winner, not like many makers out out too many bulby huge BEVs! Hyundai are smart and I like smart stuff like the ioniq6, so much that I will choose it over the new Prius plug in (I drive the current one), which is big shout as Prius is legend of a tech comfort and best eur per 100km car including BEVs, of course ioniq6 will be closer to prius's eur/100km and it's one of the reasons I will get the ioniq6, the other is it's better interior, it's spacious where new Prius is not big enough anymore, also poor dashboard design of the new Prius , just things sum up for my final choise ... Future is bright Toyota will get back stronger in BEVs in few years so going Hyundai now doesn't mean I will not return to Toyota after 2 or more years

    Glad you made this video, but why is it needed when most of country can’t buy this vehicle. I’ve been told here in Michigan it won’t be available for another year to year and half. By then totally different and better EV’s will be out. In Information Technology we call this vaporware. It’s useless to advertise.

      Hyundai doesn’t have an original bone in the entire body of the parent company. If they ever won car of the year it was actually the brand Hyundai/KIA/Genesis is mimicking and copying that won the award. In this case, it would be Nissan owed a trophy for their Infiniti J30’s design.

      Yeah I did the same but test drove it too. It's pretty nice and better than I expected. It's a hard choice between this and the 5. The 6 looks more updated so I'm hoping the 5 will get the same treatment for 2024.
      On that note the GV60 that I test drove as well is on another level tho. Just wow on the inside. The 5 still looks better on the outside imo.

      @@volcalstone i think you cannot go wrong with the5,6 or GV60. It really comes down to the practically you need as a family and the looks, which is very personal. I love that the Hyundai group makes all their cars look different, which appeals to all different types of people……..unlike BMW.

    Has some nice features, but for the price - Hyundai could have added some more luxury imo.
    It still feels like a basic car, that just happens to be electric.
    However, I love the Hyundai warranty.
