Never leave a friend behind. How many of these stories start with friends going off and leaving someone on their own? I don't care the gender, keep an eye out for each other and don't leave someone behind.
@@mgal6234 me too. And a lot of people don't know that law enforcement is allowed to lie during interrogations. From a young age we are told to trust the police. I think maybe that's why it's so hard for me to wrap my head around. Also law enforcement lies are the reasons for a lot of false confessions and unfortunately a lot of those false confessions lead to false convictions. Somebody recently said "we have a legal system, not a justice system. " No truer words have ever been spoken...
It shocked me because I have brittle bone disease and it’s just awesome to hear anyone speak about it. I mean not the best context but at least I can say my disease helped put a killer away. That’s about the only good thing to come from it I’d say.
I've gone to work with little sleep. And her ride got drunk at home after she left the party. She just wanted to drink which is why this poor girl is dead
This story just brings me to tears because I can picture how she was feeling that night. She was tired, it was loud, she had banged her nose and it was bleeding. I bet she wasn't warm in her costume she worked so hard on. The night that she was so excited for was going so poorly and she just wanted to go home to her family and crawl in her bed. I've had those nights. She thought a nice guy was going to get her to her home. She just wanted to go home. I feel heartbroken.
I'm also empathising with her in the exact same way I know how she feels and I can't imagine how she must have felt when she realised that she was jever going home
This makes me realize how stupid I was when I was younger. I grew up in a small town, everyone knew each other. A couple of my guy friends would have a party at their house out in the boonies every year. I was in my mid 20's in the late 90's when I went to this party with one of my friends and her boyfriend and they left without me and didn't tell me. It was getting later and later and almost all the people I knew had already left but I was really hoping that someone was going back into town but there wasn't. I literally started walking home. We're talking an old country road and I was at least 10 miles from home. This is before everyone had cell phones. Especially in a small town no one had one. I had probably got about half a mile away from the party when a car with 3 guys my age pulled up and asked me what I was doing walking down the road alone in the dark. By the way they were not from my town. They were from the next town over and I had never met them before. I told them why and they said we are not going to let you walk home. They said it's too late and too dangerous. I said I realized that but I didn't really have an alternative. They said we will take you home. I protested because I was scared I didn't know who they were. They said we promise we are not going to hurt you. Other cars had already passed and not stopped. Reluctantly I got in the car and luckily they were complete gentlemen and drove me straight home. I thanked them profusely and they said they could not in good conscience drive all the way home not knowing if I made it home safely. I thank God that they were honest good hearted guys.
@M i knew what you meant. I wasn't offended or anything. I just didn't want you or anyone else to think that I was one of those crazy people that thought my life was endanger and I narrowly escaped.
I'm glad they actually investigated the case instead of trying to blame the owner of the party, and I'm also glad he opened his property so people could search for Chelsea. Seems like a good guy, better than the "friends" who abandoned her.
@@MorticiaBeaulieu exactly...people always put the blame on the friends but the fault lies soley with the maniac murderer, if men like this didn`t exist then women would be safe anywhere they go....blame these guys, nobody else...fact is, women are not safe anywhere because of these type of men!!!
idiot. The friends that took her had no ability to get a hold of the victim. They couldn’t call her (no phone) and they couldn’t find her (massive party), so wtf were they supposed to do? The victim had plenty of options available to get herself home safe (call mom, family member or friend, call uber, call taxi). It was HER responsibility to take of herself and she failed to do so. You’re a real piece of shyt try to blame the friends for her murder.
Saw her alone and crying, but thought nothing of it. Her rude bounces. Her friend leaves with her phone... Just left her there at a party in the middle of nowhere in Cornsville. Great friends
Happens all the time unfortunately, a lot of selfish people out there. It really does pay to keep your senses and look after yourself, I've learnt this to my own detriment.

Many murder victims are chosen because they are naive, have low self esteem, and are horrible judges of character....so it makes sense that their friends are shitty.
I’ve been seen as the nagging friend or the cock blocker but I wouldn’t leave my friends. I did twice in my past and both times my friends were assaulted. It’s part from being stupid and drunk 🤦🏻♀️ Also a reason I quit drinking.
its very odd her friend left her there with out her own damn phone it feels like a set up honestly! I have never left a gf even if they wanted to slut it out with some guy I NEVER EVER let them stay even if they begged. Not on my watch :(
Kids should not hesitate to call their parents in any situation they are in, I would rather take the scolding and the brunt from my parents rather than getting killed.
Agreed, I’m the “messy auntie” who has been known to pick up my high school nieces/nephews from parties no matter what condition they’re in. We can talk about drinking/drugs later for the moment I’m getting you home no questions asked.
@@kittycurious6444 They’ll appreciate you for being like that some day. Wish I had aunts and uncles like that... Hell, I wish I had any of them live here lol.
It's not just parents. My friends and I habe a rule that we leave our phones on until everyone was safely home. Well, one time, there was an issue with public transport and I couldn't go home. I texted them and I was directly welcomed to sleep over anywhere I wanted (I picked the closest one hahaha). I stay up until everyone drove/went safely home. My appartement is always open to any friend who needs a place to sleep, no matter if it's for an early flight or a night out on the town. I'd rather have they know they have a safe place to come to than not caring. If one of us goes on a date (Tinder or something) we send a screenshot of the person as well as the place we are meeting and expect a message to know if everything is all right. I don't care what they do, if I can make it a little more safe, I'll stay up ! My mom would leave her phone on as well, she would leave my bedroom door open before she went to bed. If she woke up and the door wasn't closed, she'd know I didn't make it back. I would also leave my shoes in the entrance to let her know ^^ If I couldn't get home, I'd text her the problem and were I was staying. She was very much a "be free and be young" mom with a side of "just let me know you are safe and sound". Also, I don't drink so that wasn't an issue at all ^^
My parents always made it clear when we went out that we could call them at any time. Because they didn't want us getting in a car with a drunk driver or a stranger
I've always been considered the cool Mom because I told my boys to call me for whatever reason...no questions asked, because it's a whole lot better than having the police call me with any horrific news! To me, it's a no-brainer! Kids will act like kids whether you want them to be or not, so be there when they need you!
One time I went to club with my friends on my birthday, and dissapeared... Turned out that someone slipped something in my drink and it was too much ,somebody(unknown)tried to walk me out of the club but I fell by the bouncers and was out . Thank god there was cops by the door and saw it ,they took me in the jail and let go in morning. I didn't remember anything, police told me this . My friends said they looked for me and left ,never spoke with them again. And that was my last trip to club ever . Daytona beach to you.... be careful girls you never think its gonna be you ,but it just might be you...
No need to go to a club. It is loud, fake happiness, overly expensive drinks and lots of idiots. Plus, waste of energy and sleepless nights. I can list more…
You got roofied but the cops put you in the drunk tank instead of the hospital? 🤦🏻♀️ Maybe I just don’t know anything about rohypnol. Or suing cops for negligence.
@W Zee doesn't matter who left first.. Even if Chelsea left first.. I as a friend wouldn't just go home and assume that she's OK without even knowing where she went or who she went with..
Two "friends" did this to me once.. I was with 2 guy friends at the same type of party, and they left me alone with a bunch of really older guys i didnt even know before hand. They were supposed to be my lift to get back home. Turns out they left me there, and i was drugged. I was lucky enough to be in a small village and someone recognized me from where iwas working at the time and call my grand father to come get me. I dont know who that person is, but i am so thankfull he didnt ignore me
@@tonyhawk6934 can I get some proof besides a bad movie plot? I'd like to know how you knew you were drugged. I'd also like to know how you stayed alert enough to remember what happened after if you were, in fact, drugged. More to the point, this isn't information you just toss out in a comment section. So either you're lying or it didn't occur the way you presented it entirely. Furthermore, isn't it odd that just one person recognized you if it's a small village (like you said it was)? You'd think more people would recognize you. And if this person who recognized you knew your grandpa well enough to have his number and call him, surely they'd have permission to take you home. Just speculating here but I smell horse manure.
i was only there for the summer, and it was the beginning of it, working in a camping. the guy that recognized me worked with my grand father, thats why he had his number. i didnt just tossed it in a comment section, i told my story in a comment section of something a little similar to what happened to me. i just wanted to share what happened to me. i never really talked about this except to my therapist because i would prefer to forget it and i'm ashame of it. but hearing this story made me want to share mine. and being said i'm bullshiting just makes me want to shutdown. sorry if my story sound like a bad movie plot to you.
Man, I need one of these stories to end with the missing person being found alive and well in another country, having accidentally hit their head and forgotten who they were or something.
Being Irish and loving the sesh when I was younger I had something like that happen to me, one time I woke up on the floor of some polish guys house I was scared and embarrassed until he popped his head in the door and greeted me with a shot of vodka then I heard a loan from the bed where my friend sleeping I didn't even know she was there but anyway we were lucky the guys that picked us up were nice and we partied with them for some part of the day they paid for our taxi home which cost them a small fortune but it could have turned out allot worse. I wouldn't mind waking up in Rob Lowe's house in America that would be cool 😉
@@merryberry6576 considering the content of the story they’re reporting, which I’d assume is being reported in hindsight, I’d use words like “fateful” or something along those lines. Phrasing is important when you’re discussing someone’s life being in potential peril.

Anyone-male or female-who reports a crime like that while flat lying for their own gain, should have to face the prison time the person they accused could have gotten for the crime if convicted using their testimony. I know it's a gray area, but in cases like that girl, where it is easily proven...time to hear some bars slam behind ya.
I was at this party and attended it every year. It was safe unknown to Chelsea. I’ve looked for her although I didn’t know her. I lived in Monroe, Michigan which is the county this took place. Such a sad story. Big Mike was tore up over this. He was only having a party. So so sad for her outcome. Mike has not had another party since and he doesn’t celebrate Halloween anymore. I lived less than 5 miles from where she was found. And she was found across the street my girlfriend, who has now moved to Shelby township. This case affected more than just chealseas family and this area will never be the same prayers for chealsea. Rip. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. (I won’t mention the killer, he deserves no attention)
Poor Mike, he seemed sweet, and so guilt ridden for having been the one throwing the party, even though he personally didn’t do anything wrong. Poor everyone involved, really 💔
Chelsea was the sweetest girl you could ever meet. I would go into where she worked and she’d smile and just bring me what I wanted. She always remembered my favorite that I always ordered
I get so tired of hearing the "rough sex" accident defence - no one buys it! I know in the UK theres laws being passed to ban it as a defence/excuse. That poor girl was brutally attacked and had her head stoved in.
I know! Bloody shameful!! Do you know there was a case (on CCTV!) Of a girl passed out by a dumpster who was brutally gang raped (DNA evidence) and they originally got off with it because she "didn't say no" - wtaf!!!! Eventually that was overturned but seriously?!!!
Yeah, it never ceases to amaze me how many of these poor women seemingly enjoy being beaten and choked to death during sex... I hope he gets the same 'treatment' in Prison as he opted to 'treat' Chelsea with. Sick f%ckin' bastard.
@@katc6880 That's disgusting, more so because in most countries, if your sexual partner was inebriated/intoxicated/unable to give consent, any sex with them is automatically rape!!
I live in Monroe and I remember when all this was happening. It was so tragic but her family and the community stayed so strong to help find her and bring that monster to justice finally. RIP Chelsea ❤️
In a drunken stupor, I’ve tried to tell my friends to let me stay at a party and that I’d find another ride home. Now that I’m older and a bit wiser, I’m thankful they never took no for an answer when getting me to come home with them. Always leave with the people you came with.
I had a friend who would always go out with us to the club. He would always get completely smashed and end up running off with random women or groups of other dudes. He got beat up and robbed MULTIPLE times…it got so bad we had to start going to the bathroom so he wouldn’t try to run off and find coke…I’m honestly surprised that he is still alive today…
PSA: Please never leave your friends alone! And if you get an inkling your “friends” are going to leave you first, idc how fun the party is, get home with or before them safely!
@captain thunderpants Notice I said friends, plural, wiseass. Yes you can leave multiple friends at a party if there are at least two of them together. Next time you try to be a smarty pants, you might want to read the comment more than once.
I learned that lesson the hard way at my first college off campus party. After that night, I made sure to be the designated driver whenever going out w/people no matter if they were my best friend or someone I had 1 class with. By end of the first semester, every cop knew my car & rarely got stopped. They knew if my tiny 81 Honda Civic was jammed full of people, the driver was stone sober.
This is a good reason for parents, yes parents, to pick up their own children or make sure they're available in case friends flake out. Of course with every one high or drunk, how reliable can high friends be? They can't. This sort of reminds me of Natalie Halloway. Her friends let her go off in the night with strangers. The friends were probably drunk
I was going to defend the friends bc young and dumb but then got to the part where she was actually called again about the ride... yeah, this is a terrible friend. Yikes.
These are the kind of stories that I now realize my mum feared for me when I was a young teenage girl out late with my friends, partying out somewhere. I remember being so mad and annoyed at her every time she tried to call my cell phone to check on me and I always ignored it. I always thought she was trying to steal my freedom and joy away from me and control me whenever she tried to lay down the rules of trying to have me back home safe at a certain time. Now I feel like a shytehead for not answering her phone calls, especially after seeing this, and realizing how much pain I caused her for making her worry so much the way I did. >.< ugghh!! I was such a stupid little teenager who didn't know any better. I hope my mum can forgive me. I hope Chelsea's family can find healing and peace after the tragic loss of her.
Same. You realise that when you “thought you knew everything”, you seriously underestimated what there was to know. I put my Mum through a lot being young and irresponsible. I’m so grateful she gave a shit and that I’m still around to bug her.

@@MsIndigo74 Nope. You go together. You leave together. It's not her fault her friend was killed but she should have done something when she couldn't find her. Especially since she had her phone.

I feel bad for her but she shouldn't have left without her. I can't imagine leaving a friend behind at a party in the middle of nowhere. There were many times I had to be up early for work but ended up staying out sometimes a few hours longer than planned because I had a drunk friend who basically wouldn't leave and I refused to leave them behind.
I've been left behind by my friends while drunk, crying, just wanting to go home. Thankfully my story ended better than this one did; I can only imagine what she felt.
I made one of them pick me up the next morning from where I ended up and buy me breakfast. Never got drunk with them again tho and warned the other girl in our group about the situation. I think that was a factor - I was with a group of dudes and they just didn't understand what the big deal was.
I'm so glad your okay! i've had to grab and run off with my drunk friend into other establishments in scary situations. I would NEVER leave a friend alone, I dont understand how people can do that to 'friends'!!! Scary things happen
That friend who was supposed to be her ride betrayed her. The one who left with her phone betrayed her. If either of them had looked out for her she would probably be still alive today. She was crying because she had been ditched. She knew she'd been ditched. Rest in peace, Chelsea. People failed you.
I like the sentiment, on paper and on thought but practically?? ngl even among close friends, there are ALOT of people who are a disaster to go on night outs with and around half of the time it's always better to ditch them and stop going out with them since we're all adults in the end. @DRIVER and the reason women need to have each other's backs is? Yes. Her friends were toxic AF, no one noticed this dude and an upset crying woman, possibly in distress.. being called a bigot is a ton better than having an entire checklist to reduce the possibility of being murdered.
I remember my best friend and I went to a concert late at night at a casino in an industrial area. But my dad picked us up despite how late it was. We even stayed inside the casino until my dad texted me. We had two backup calls for pickup, my older cousin and her dad. I can't imagine going out there in the middle of nowhere, at night with no transportation. It's always good to have a backup.
Meanwhile, the friend that she had responsibly set up a ride home with is already laid out on her couch like, "Oh, yeah, I'm already home... and I had a few drinks, so I won't be able to give you a ride." Smfh. Some "friend." Poor girl.

On the way home, about six teenagers were blocking the road drinking and being rambunctious. Somehow we knew it was a bad situation so we went to a nearby barn and found a phone inside. I hope her friend who was supposed to take her home, lives with the guilt. The guy who murdered her is a monster, but her friends are also horrible people.

@Awkward Autistic To be fair, it's mildly ambiguous - you could interpret Vhonda's sentence that *Mike* is spending "these days" making it more known/publicized.
This is exactly what I’m talking about. I was complimenting Mike about this specific case he did. Mind you, YES I’ve read History Books and Yes I’ve known there have always been bad people, but I do believe at 1 time your 13 year old child could ride up and down the street on their bikes until the street lights came on without worry. I do believe that MOST children were not born into a family of incest over and over again. IN MY OPINION, I feel there are scarier men and women out there, more today than ever before. Why is it almost every time someone post something, someone always has to step in and say something negative. If you have taken this any other way than the way I meant it I’m sorry you did. Have a Blessed Day.
I don't think Harlan really was lying. I think he really did see some thing from her having hit her nose on that pole. But the detectives got so aggressive and made him feel trapped and backed out and said he lied.
It's the old "rough sex defense" which should just be renamed "I'm a rapist and I saw that women like being choked in porn once (or a hundred times) and assume most people don't realise how long it actually takes to choke someone to death" defense.
@@INYB Says the guy that believes a woman will allow herself to literally be choked to death without trying to tap out or gesturing that "you're killing me!" It's bad enough he killed her, it's disgusting that he tries to drag her name through the mud after doing so.

The editing, your accent, your shirts, your talent in putting it together, the background music (which intensifies the effect of the case), the effort you put into your research, and your sarcasm to top it off! You bring a sinister amount of humor to storytelling without disrespecting the victims in these cases.... The woman wanting to get her ex out of the picture seems so evil. How can you be so evil. Trying to place the blame on your ex bf just cause you want him out of the picture.
Was at a party once where a new acquaintance was bummed and sobby half the night. All his friends left him there, half conscious in someone's backyard. I took him home, a dude I'd met that night (or near it) and two of us carried him into his basement apartment and put him on the couch before calling it a night. This poor girl needed her friends, or at least someone willing to ACT LIKE ONE. Ugh.
@@ladyboywonder9139 please explain to the rest of the class why you think her friend shouldn't be in part to blame for this? She didn't look for her too hard, she didn't explain anything to her parents. She didn't ask any of the party goers if they'd seen her. It was almost as if she didn't even give two fucks her best friend had gone missing. Something similar happened to me and my best friend when we were younger. I almost had a fucking heart attack. I flipped the house upside down looking for her. Thankfully, she was fine. She was passed out in one of the bedrooms, untouched. But still. Not sure if you're a dude. But there's a reason why we go to the bathroom together at clubs, bars, restaurants and parties. The entire point of going to parties with girlfriends is so we can look out for one another, to make sure nothing bad happens. That's what you do for people you give a shit about. Chelsea's BFF didn't give two shits about her and it showed.
In nearly every murder interrogation I've seen, the detective will say something like...You can walk out of here looking like a monster or you can tell me what really happened. The thing is, this ploy works with most monsters. Apparently monsters are really bothered by the fact that they may actually be perceived as monsters and not the fine, upstanding, sensitive monsters they really are. F'n Monsters. Bruh
I’m sorry but when my friends and I ever go out we don’t ever leave without each other. No matter what. We will stay and look and look. Don’t matter if we have to “work” the next day.
Right? I feel the same way. Also, if you cant wait for your friend, because you have work in the morning and then later you comment that you're too drunk and cant drive back: 1. How did you drive home? You "cant wait for your friend". But you could've done both. waited for your friend and to sober up. 2. Who goes that hard if you have work in the morning? So drunk you cant drive but yeah, gonna make it to that 6am shift. Ok. 3. Why would you leave when you still have their phone? That's most people's lifeline. It's her way to call for a ride, help, etc. It just doesnt make sense.

@@googleuser2609 well when you go to a party with friends you leave with the same friends.. it is an unwritten rule. never leave friends behind. however, i am sure they are forgiven. Jesus forgave how many times?
I'll never understand how people leave the friends who rode with them at strangers parties. I've had friends say they're gonna go home with male strangers they met at the club/party that night and I've literally dragged them to my car and argued with the men. If they came with me, they leave with me.
I'm the same way. I've dragged my friends out of the bar, said goodbye to the rando guy, told them whatever I needed to get my friends home safe in my car. If you came with me and I'm your DD, either we're both making it home safe or none of us are. I would never leave without my friend and my friends would never leave without me. That's what being a friend means; I'm there for you.
The best excuse I've ever used which became a favorite of mine is "her dad is chief of police and if I don't get her home in 30 mins he'll be on his way here, he has the address". I remember one time I told a creepy guy that who was trying to physically pull my drunk friend away from us and he abruptly let go of her with fear in his eyes and quickly disappeared into the crowd at the party. A couple weeks later we saw him on the news in connection with a missing woman.
@@Scratchingforcash Um... no. Parents are parents. Friends are friends. A 24 year old person is an adult. The best thing parents can do is deliberately educate our children, both boys and girls, to the best of our ability and then trust the person we've raised. It's never too late to talk about girls like Chelsea with our children, bring up scenarios they might encounter, and talk earnestly about what to do if they are left at a party, or if they see someone in trouble. But you cannot and should not be with your adult children 24/7. The world needs independent, strong, smart young people who can live their own lives apart from mom and dad. The sad reality is, sometimes you can make no mistakes and still lose. Evil is present. We prepare the best we can and we try to make the best decisions possible, but in the end, every good parent ends up letting go and letting God (cheesy idiom totally intended).

Friends don't just leave their friends at parties in the middle of nowhere without a confirmed lift home. I would NEVER do that and my friends would never do that to me. This girl had really shitty "friends", the guy couldn't even be bothered to try and find her or he would have found out she wanted to leave too.

Can't blame the friends?? Had they not left her would she be dead? They didn't break her face, but they left her alone for her face to be broken. They played a role.

That "brittle bone disease" ruse by the detective was a stroke of genius.
Detectives are trained to use lies to help their suspects to incriminate themselves...
That's why you never talk to the police. That being said, I'm glad this POS did!
I am always shocked that detectives are allowed to tell such elaborate lies.

Thank goodness! You were very lucky
You are lucky indeed. And thanks God there are still good hearted young men out there that night
@M i totally agree with you. I don't suggest anyone live their life scared but just to be cautious because you never know.

I'm glad they actually investigated the case instead of trying to blame the owner of the party, and I'm also glad he opened his property so people could search for Chelsea. Seems like a good guy, better than the "friends" who abandoned her.
Yeah I thought it was strange how they were trying to put any blame on him, he was just throwing a party.
Or did the friends think she had abandoned them?
Don't blame the victims friends. It's not their fault, it's the fault of the murderer!

The victim had plenty of options available to get herself home safe (call mom, family member or friend, call uber, call taxi). It was HER responsibility to take of herself and she failed to do so. You’re a real piece of shyt try to blame the friends for her murder.
Chelsea trusted her crappy friends so much that when kind people lent her their phones she called her friends than her family. That's heartbreaking...

And Never ever have life insurance!
Also how to make a fab tin hat
Keep up the good job Mike
Further, Mike taught me, don't live in Canada, Florida, Texas, California, Australia, or Michigan. Don't keep large sums of money in the house, or be too pretty, too stupid, or naive. Don't trust the cops because they are the only ones who can help you, but not until after you die. You don't need to kill your adult children just because you want to move from Michigan to Texas (ahhh...two States in which not to live). Don't date people who are already married, the divorce will never come through. Don't marry someone if it's your second and anymore than their second, especially if any of their prior spouses died. Fix your own food, keep track of how much Anti-Freeze is in the garage, if it goes down, get the radiator fixed, and if that ain't it...call the police and hope they get there before they are investigating your death. High priced hookers is not an expensive fishing guide service, and tricking to pay a $6K a month mortgage in the mid-range of the Rockies is not a great idea just to keep up appearances and the illusion of a stable home life for your boys. Everyone you meet is a killer, they just might not get around to it in their lifetime. Be wary of your friends, especially when the power dynamic runs away from you. When a pack moves on, the Omega gets shed, don't be at the bottom of any group. If you go to a party, decide who is the "wing(wo)man" and who gets to look for a hook-up. Don't change the plan during the night. Exchange phone numbers with the meet cute and call the next day, The wingperson has a duty to stay sober and bring their drunk charge home alive and puking. Oh yeah, and if you have daddy issues, work it out with a counselor in group; don't date a guy twice your age because it makes you feel like you are getting back at dear old dad. Unless it is dad's best friend (eww - I went there), he's never going to know. I do wonder if she has left a friend at a party ever again ?
As she should.
She wouldn't have left if she would be that "haunted" later on. She didn't care in the first place all that much.
You are one of the minority who doesn’t blame the friend
I truly hope people are taking mental notes on these stories and applying more common sense to their actions in life.
Like not keeping evidence of someone you murdered, or that we shouldn't talk to the police and just lawyer up, that kind of common sense you mean?
@@jordanmercier3616 That took a dark turn, think you missed the point.

Gibbet them in a public place. When they finally die is up to our Lord and Master, Jesus the Christ.

Good luck with your surgery. Sending you virtual hugs from Washington DC!!
A year later I hope you have mended and are doing well Elaine.❤
In nearly every murder interrogation I've seen, the detective will say something like...You can walk out of here looking like a monster or you can tell me what really happened. The thing is, this ploy works with most monsters.
Apparently monsters are really bothered by the fact that they may actually be perceived as monsters and not the fine, upstanding, sensitive monsters they really are.
F'n Monsters.

@@TheAngryChinchilla I couldn’t agree more!

I feel so bad for Chelsea, she looked very sweet and innocent, and a little on the nerdy side. Like someone you'd want to protect.
You're the only true crime creator I can watch, typically this stuff freaks me out too much. I love that you can joke about stuff, and just have a happy demeanor

Right. “Sober” enough to drive home, but not to find your one friend? At least wait by the car for her to find you

This.
This is why if you tell your friend you are giving them a ride home... NO MATTER WHAT... do not leave until they are also leaving with you!!!
I'll never understand how people leave the friends who rode with them at strangers parties. I've had friends say they're gonna go home with male strangers they met at the club/party that night and I've literally dragged them to my car and argued with the men. If they came with me, they leave with me.
Facts
Especially without their phone!!!
@M.J. C. That's okay, hun. Your belief doesn't make it any less true. Just sharing an experience.
As the mother of a 24 year old daughter, it's stories like this that keep me awake at nigjht.
As a 23 year old daughter, thank you and all the caring mums of the world for being so loving.
Become her besty..... go everywhere with her
I know it sounds harsh but it can be done. I know tons of girls who their mother is their best friend.

I was just thinking the other day about this. They have a strange way of speaking that combines horror with eloquence and all I want to know is whether or not this is a segment of journalism and other news information. It’s definitely complexing, but when you come down to do, it’s a natural way for viewers to connect more with the victims .
That was way more detailed than anything I could have expected. But! Sometimes the professional’s “way” of speaking is very strange.
