BTW you can turn off god of the wind 2 in the skill manu. It helps me get the timing down a lot.

Isn't the timing exactly the same though? You only have to time the blow right after the kick iirc.

had no idea you could spam the F out of sign of the cross like that. it's tricky to learn but worth the practice. it's basically R1, cirlce,R1, circle as fast as possible

With regards to Mind's Eye II, dodging in the direction of the attack is generally how I do it for non-AoE stuff. Like on the Yoki's horizontal swings, which go from your left to right, I'll dodge early and to my right so that I'm still in the hitbox for its swing at the end of my dodge. Just have to be careful of the recovery when using it against enemies with quick followups (like Mezuki).
For anyone that just needs to feel the timing out, Ubume may be the easiest enemy to proc ME2 against. Just low stance dodge into her scream for a free attack boost.

For god of wind, just focus on the kick sound and not the animation, press triangle right after you hear the sound.
I went from missing it most of the time to almost never missing it when i noticed this.

Thank you so much for this my dude. I absolutely love Spinning Dragon. I put Raging Slice (20% bonus damage) on it and when an enemy is confused and out of ki it just melts them. It's a bit rough to use on 'thin' enemies like humans (and some bosses like Azai Nagamasa), but man on things like Shibata Katsuie and Enera it's just brutal.

DS is the weapon I picked up and learn the game with. Simple game plan allows me to focus on mastering the basic of the game.
That said, it's just bizzar to me that they make 6 different parries that can only work against human enemies with mediocre reward. Then proceed to shove all high stance skills into block heavy and light into heavy.w While the weapon lacks any block light and heavy into light comobo in high stance.

Water sword and wind sword being trapped on the same button mapping is a crime. Kusa can use reaper in all stances why the can this weapon not

Something that helped me incorporate instant SotC more comfortably is using an alternate input method. Instead of holding the charge briefly, I double tap sheath with a brief pause in between the two inputs. This works with Iai Quickdraw and Thin Air as well, but doesn't work nearly as well with the other sheathed skills.

With 2 weapons that use a charge attack like duel blades and sword you can hold down R1 and O and just press down on the D pad to change weapons and auto charge attack. Chain as many as your ki will let you.

If you dodge too early in low stance with Dual Swords, then you get "saved". On top of that, you get a 80% attack damage boost. It's extremely powerful.

what I always didn't like about dual blades. also on the 1st game. is how low the damage is. sure your more save dodging and blocking with them. but what's the point on that the fact it takes you so long to beat enemies? if we are just getting started with no video guides. it well mess your day up. yeah I get they trying to make it realistic because you only using one hand each and also using speed. but come on. if the blades were a bit smaller it would make more sense.

These are meant for advanced combo based play and thus focus on understanding how to use a weapon's full toolkit. Water Sword is fairly easy to understand as I mentioned after 7:43
