Just finished the build, but instead of the snake helm (Can't get skill damage on it), I replaced it with master swordsman and the hands were replaced by tosa for the life.
@FightinCowboy Would replacing the coiled snake helm with one that can inherit Windstorm be a viable option? I know you would loose 15% of boost against poisoned enemies, but this way you gain an extra 10% windstorm all the time
@fightingcowboy, can you min/max the child of sun (unifier of japan set) dual sword build? It uses the same skill and heart stats, it wont take much time for you to min/max it. Maybe you can do some sort of confusion based bonus anima, spamming yokai abilities, with child of sun set as well? just putting out a suggestion!
it ALWAYS takes time to min-max, also I have no interest in child of the sun, it's a shit tier set. We want real damage bonuses and the only think it offers is damage based on luck.
We do I need to get this strong ? Pure undaluated revenge. [Update] This build is sick and melts everything without making use of only a specific skill. The Abacus is nice to have but can life without it for now.
Decent but my build is has more power. 3-masterswordsman, 2-flying Kato, 2-iga. 1-warrior of the west- Poison build dual swords and sword build both with 2344 attack power. Shit is brutal! I tried the coiled snake helmet but it didn’t give me any extra damage so I kept the Kato.

I just really want to get another powerful weapon outside of the Kusarigama. Even when I reallocated the stats using a Book of Reincarnation 🧐🧐
Hey cowboy, I'm level 101 on the mission after you fight Tokichiro...for good weapons or armor, what mission do you suggest I farm or is it not necessary?
Great build!!!! My only question is how did you get the 30% active skill damage I know you got 2% from the magatsu warrior is the other 28% a clan bonus?
It's justice ministry, as long as you don't have justice ministry legs you get the black wrapping but not the coat that goes above it, applies to most chest pieces
Are you getting more damage with the poison in general or you have to apply the status on them. This is were I am confused at. And could you do this with water, fire, etc. or it has to be with poison?
The status must be imbued. The reason it is with poison, is due to the easy access to +damage to poisoned enemy. The only other status effect that shares this, is paralysis. Poison is more sensible than paralysis in this case as paralysis only lasts 1 hit. Perfect for Iai Quickdraw builds, not for much else. If the damage boosts were available for fire/water enhancements, they would be superior by far.
Does the attack bonus skill really make such a huge difference? I have this almost identically copied (minus the + numbers not exactly the same on pieces) and I at most do 400 damage with back stabs meanwhile your over here doing 600+ to the front and 1k+ from behind.
Is the 6th Ki pulse bonus from the set important? I think you might be able to get a Cherry Blossom bonus from 'A Multitude of hope' set with the weapon+accessory, assuming that's worth it :3
laid off dual swords for a while. It so happens my yasakani magatani and Toshiie abacus both have poison accumulation and melee dmg vs poison. used it as I leveled up spear, ran 5 piece matazza and 5 Warrior of the east, for the lols. Worked well. So no coiled snake helm in there. However, I have now leveled up all the weapons in the game, and I find dual swords among the top most fun, especially spamming light attacks, with sign of the cross in between. But what gives dual swords the absolute edge among any other weapon, is that BOTH of the unique abilities are just so good. Spear have a really good buff as well but dual swords mobility plus giving you that absurd damage mitigation, nothing come close. You can either be extremly tanky or you can spam attacks all day long since you almost cant run out of Ki. Both are solid choices. So after leveling all weapons trying around I will give this toxic duals a spin. There is too much synergy with poison damage. And also, if pop some extra points into Dexterity and get that ninjutsu skill up, it actually affects poison damage ticks, and they make burning ticks like small tickles in comparison. And with all that poison accumulation you will stack it up immediately on anything not immune. On a side note: Odachi was a super fun surprise. That weapon is my favorite after Dual Swords for sure. Lightning Odachi in Obsidian set...that damage is as close to disgusting as it gets:) Alto a ton more fun then axe since Moon shadow is just too good, and if you want to spin to win, just fight matazza and get the unique ability for an even better version of mad spinner but for Odachi.
It seems a little wasteful spending 8 whole points on an earthfolding talisman, with how easy it is to amass thousands of travel amulets in the end-game. Extraction / steel / gust talismans would be a much better investment IMHO
The problem with travel amulets is that they do not seem to replenish in my experience when you rest at a shrine. Meanwhile, an earthfolding talisman does. Yes, perhaps you could invest in other spells, but still, it is something to consider, especially if you, say, are grinding Daidara Bocchi for familiarity.
@@Projectarchan Not saying there is no point to earthfolding, but I thought this was for a general end-game build, so my point was that spending over half of this builds available Onmyo capacity just to avoid burning travel amulets did not make much sense. You really have nothing else to be spending your glory & gold on at end-game besides buying items like these, so you should be putting those precious points towards skills that have better return -. Awesome work as always cowboy. Just wondering, what is the name of the body armor you fashion your body armor to?
Justice ministry
I tried to make a variant on this build, but with the flying Kato set for more of a ninja build. Would I just be better off going with the Triumph of Tranquility set instead? I use single katana
Really like this build and your other Videos too. Is there a way to start with this build in normal and transition it into his final form at NG+? The Paralyze Build doesnt work for me that well.
Yeah just get poison on your accessories and use ninja poison
@@FightinCowboy Thanks. I will try it.
Hey cowboy love your guides and builds! Would love a video explaining each Yōkai soul core ability in depth as the videos in game do not do a great job of explaining the full potential and depth to some of the abilities!
Hey cowboy just wondering if you're making any kind of yokai shift build and if not would you consider making one but I would understand if you didn't because I know there's not a whole lot of options for yokai shift builds at the moment
It's not viable
Just finished the build, but instead of the snake helm (Can't get skill damage on it), I replaced it with master swordsman and the hands were replaced by tosa for the life.
@FightinCowboy Would replacing the coiled snake helm with one that can inherit Windstorm be a viable option? I know you would loose 15% of boost against poisoned enemies, but this way you gain an extra 10% windstorm all the time
Go for it
Whats the equipment you used for the fashion here? I don't recognize the chest piece.
Edit: nvm, found it: Justice Ministry w/o coat.
GODDAMN!!!! THAT WRECKS!!!😱😱
See you in space, cowboy!
@@FightinCowboy yeah tried everything with it but the damage is nowhere near the poison build :(, anyways thanks for the reply!
Nice work tho. I use writing set and yasakani for items.
Got 70 invested in Dex and I have ninjitsu power on everything. +30 active skill damage with windstorm 9.9 on gloves- I switch gloves when I use the sword- to get the 9.9 for lai On sword. 66.8% melee vs poisoned enemy... I tried the coiled snake helmet but it didn’t give me any extra damage so I kept the Kato.
Do title points matter for these builds or what would you suggest for general
I normally go for ki ,life, anima related ones and gold or amrita earned
Can anyone tell me were i can get this windstorm damage inhert T_T i been trying to farm the revenants and still no drops
same lol
Lost canon map in dawn
Can anybody tell me if this is still a viable/good build at this point?
Only issue with toshiees abacus is speed buffs slow down double headed slice big time.
Yo cowboy u got any tips for combos with dualswords?
Is it possible to do a build w both dual swords and tonfas? I started a new playthrough and I can't seem to help using both of them, but it requires leveling courage as well so I'm wondering if I'm making a bad decision. I just love switching between them.
Damien J you can, temper tonfa for attack skill and remodel to scale with skill
@@indomiegrg878 Right on. You can't do remodeling until late game though can you? I still haven't unlocked it on my main playthrough yet
@@Nox444 Almost at the end. Once you get a Metalworking Chisel and some + value gear.
@@austenadams8051 So it'll be hard to use both in the main playthrough without leveling both courage and skill until I reach the end when I can remodel?
@@Nox444 Not really, if you're using light armor with it, as that's only 3 stats to spread points between. a bit harder with medium, but still manageable.
@FightinCowboy is there a way to craft windstorm dmg?
What would be the next favorable weapon to use if I’m used to the Kusarigama? I’ve heard dual swords because they both scale in Skill. I just really want to get another powerful weapon outside of the Kusarigama. I’ve switched back and fourth between the Kusarigama and dual swords in the first Nioh but even after beating it I don’t feel like I ever really got OP with another weapon. Even when I reallocated the stats using a Book of Reincarnation 🧐🧐
Can you have multiples builds on one character with different gear, stats etc.?
Hey cowboy, I'm level 101 on the mission after you fight Tokichiro...for good weapons or armor, what mission do you suggest I farm or is it not necessary?
Justin Belmont get to ng+ first
Great build!!!! My only question is how did you get the 30% active skill damage I know you got 2% from the magatsu warrior is the other 28% a clan bonus?
Hoang Nguyen thank you! I thought so but I just wanted to be sure because the Honda clan bonus in the last game wasn’t that high lol
I wanna make this. i've only just started NG+ and i have 0 proficiency with dual swords but fuck it, time for a respec...
What's your fashion choices on your armor... I really like that look. I couldn't find that chest piece in my arsenal.
It's justice ministry, as long as you don't have justice ministry legs you get the black wrapping but not the coat that goes above it, applies to most chest pieces
@@FightinCowboy Thanks!
Does this build still work in the new difficulty?
Does the attack bonus skill really make such a huge difference? I have this almost identically copied (minus the + numbers not exactly the same on pieces) and I at most do 400 damage with back stabs meanwhile your over here doing 600+ to the front and 1k+ from behind.
How do you get inheritable that increase your damage of your active skills ? Is it just luck from farming ?
Is the 6th Ki pulse bonus from the set important? I think you might be able to get a Cherry Blossom bonus from 'A Multitude of hope' set with the weapon+accessory, assuming that's worth it :3
10% cherry blossom isn't a big boost tbh
laid off dual swords for a while.
Protection, Archyokai, Luckbringer etc
This build is osom! Great job as always, but man how do you have 7 perks on your gear and weps?
He explains it in the video... Gear with withe or orange effects can be transfered with soul fusion in the smith when the gear has max familiarity
@@etiennekirsch6966 is there any difference between orange and white coloured ability effects or no?
@@xXLunatikxXlul well I have no clue about the difference in these abilities the only thing I know is that you can't put 2 withe ones on a piece of gear... Only 1 white and 1 orange
Etienne Kirsch the orange can only transfer one time. The white can transfer as many times as you want
Hey man does the elemental damage while guarding roll on temper? I cant seem to roll it on my chest. Or isit a pass over inheritable?
hi cowboy just wondering if anyone else been picking up greyed out weapons , ,like the defiled stuff from the abyss , but it doesn't appear in ur inventory ?
Those are tea sets my dude
Is their a variation of we don't have the yasakani yet?
Where can I farm for windstorm damage inherit please help:) the only thing I’m missing in the build
1st Region, Dark Omens Sub Mission, kill the revenants then pray, repeat
Cydrick Alexis Bauyon oh thank you I was farming revenant in the sub mission The Brothers’ Blades but no luck
Cydrick Alexis Bauyon I wanna says thank you again I just got my first windstorm damage inherit :)))
@@chakkapongpama7193 you're welcome sir
A min maxed onmyo build would be juicy...
Is the orange inheritables super rare to get or is there a specific way to get them like farming revenants? Great build too, gotta try this out.
Trade with others, they're very rare
FightinCowboy sounds good, appreciate the reply.
Might be a newb question. What does poison damage scale with?
Is there a smithing text for this set bonus?
Cuz im trying to get gauntlets
nice build but how do you get the 30% Active skill damage?
Just a question, how much dps would you lose if you used the snake spirit? Since that badboi gives your yokai abilities poison damage wouldn't it be solid for just beefy poison uptime?
