Yeah dual swords strength is just general utility/safeness of the moveset. Easy human pressure/guard breaks. Easy horn breaks and Great ki damage, super Easy to proc confusion, easiest parry. Best zero ki boss shreder with water sword. cherry blossom and windstorm for hyper armor, horn breaks, good damage, fast/safe especially with multiple enemies around. Dual dragon and double headed slice two of the best for status inflict. Minds eye makes it the best/safest dodge but isn't something you really purposely go for, just let it save you when it does. Winter wind is really what saves this weapon from lameness. Just chain everything from that for crazy pressure.
well best zero ki shreder is debatable, high stance knuckles triangle at the end of the combo (forgot the name) deals more damage, also has a little built-in chasing property (each hit moves you a bit forward to the enemy, unlike water sword, so you don't wiff as much), also generates much more anima
Earthly Flow is my most favorite parry, I use it to damage or break the ki of an enemy when they are right next to me, in my opinion, best for 1vMany. Of course, timing and position is everything, and I apply it with either Damage Bonus or Masterful Slice.
I like cancelling Piercing Wheel with a yokai ability more compared to the other types of parries. The animation-lock parries just puts the human on the ground and it can make you miss with them.
Are you going to do a guide on weapons that pair good together? I've learned alot from your videos and switching between weapons is the 1 thing I can't get down.
You can run any pair of weapons together. Naturally, you're gonna have your own preferences. I intend to make weapon pair guides as requested. In total, there are 55 different possibilities to work with!
As nice as it is to learn about their potential, they're still the most unattractive weapons in both Nioh 1 and 2 for me. The concept of the DS is dope, but(and ik you mentioned before that people make fun of how many parries the DS has)6 parries is overkill and ruined their potential. You're not gonna use all 6 parries, you're gonna have favorites and chances are its gonna be the same favorites as the rest, because they'll either be arguably or factually the best parries. Odachi's Bolting Boar did it right, Fists Opportunist did it right, instead of having 6 parries, you just have one or two thats really good, giving room for more creative skills. Maybe if we get a Nioh 3, they can take a better look at the dual swords and balance out its overkill with the ammount of parries, with some good offense for variety and a better time against yokai.
I played with DS main for awhile but it's really not that much fun and ended using secondary weapons most of the time, so I just threw the swords away. Maybe they made DS so parry heavy because of the book Musashi. There is a fight where Musashi is fighting a lots of people at once and is just constantly retreating. At some point, without even realizing it, he had started to fight with both of his swords. iirc
Me sitting here with my Mataza+ set 35% thrust damage ready for the Spear Part 2 guide. MY BODY IS READY
Dual Swords pair well with Sword in Stat scaling and transitional quick draw/sheath attacks.

Really there isn't that much to talk about for DS.Despite limited active moves most abilities are easy to understand.
Heavenly flow is a pretty hard parry to hit. I just have to get lucky
Do you have a guide on how to time minds eye I can almost never get it to work
In low stance, dodge a little earlier than you are comfortable with.
