Most "shooters" lack the foot speed or handles to get their own shot consistently.
Most "scorers" are not proficient enough from range to be considered shooters. Many are flat out erratic.

  • @TimWing23

I think having Sam Cassell and to a slightly lesser extent, Glenn Robinson on the team allowed him to play this way more so than in Seattle.
He became a bit more of a "playmaker" in Seattle along with the catch-and-shoot screen play. Rashard Lewis was legit but Seattle didn't have anyone comparable to Cassell.

Bucks/Sonics Ray Allen was one of my favorite players in the league growing up 🙌. Still liked him on the Celtics and Heat but he was a scoring machine back then!!!

I remember this season, this was Ray Allen break out season after he really got acclimated to the league. He was lights out and that Bucks team was tough, they had the #2 offense that season behind Kings who were #1 in offense.

15:00-15:06. Look at that gather after the slightly lost behind the back dribble, then the subsequent soft feathery touch, with a hand in his face. That's big time playmaking/shooting, by Jesus Shuttlesworth on that play.

I aint watch all the way through yet, but the glimpses i see have him ABSOLUTELY COOKING Kobe, MASHING at the rim on T-MAC and shooting Mike Miller LIGHTS OUT. 😂 Jesus Shuttleworth CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. 💯 Got his Bucks jersey TWICE, once as a teenager and the other recently. Man.

Oh and Ray would again be a nightmare for Kobe in the 08 Finals. Posting 20 PPG 50 FG% and a ridiculous 52 3PT%. Got his revenge in 2010 though.
