I've met chad a few times (I live by Wilkes-Barre where they're based out of) and he's one of the most helpful and chill drummers out there. He actually does tell you things about how to get better because he really wants drummers to get better as a whole. Great musician and a great person.
Wow Sevendust has been my fav band and drummer for about 9 years. I'm REALLY turning on to Chad and I was just floored to hear him give props to Morgan. What a small world eh?
Who the hell gave this video a thumbs down? Honestly, Chad is probably one of the coolest drummers out there in rock music. Not the greatest but definitely my favorite in the way he plays in a jazz/funk kind of way (where most drummers just do simple stuff). I played this song on drums and I get this kick ass feeling every time.
I just recently fell in love with this song and in the searching videos to get a better idea of how to play it i came across chad's lesson and thought who the hell is this guy to be giving lessons on a breaking benjamin song...little did i know he's their actual freakin drummer!!! Stupid me. this guy is amazing and i really appreciate him! Thanks so much chad. you inspired me on a daily basis
one thing I love about you is that you always mention Morgan and Sevendust. Maybe not always but as a huge Sevendust fan I truly appreciate it as I know Morgan does too. Sevendust is probably the most underrated band of all time.
Thanks for the vid man, You ROCK!!! my main influence in drumming! You're absolutely right about the styles thing. I listen to all kinds, rock, pop, RnB, fusion, latin, you name it! IMO it broadens the view on drumming, and the approach to play a groove that fits a song. OK i think i'm rambling too much now lol. You Rock!
Dude, you're awesome! I love the funky grooves you laid down during tHe GC Drum off video from 1998! That really showed your chops from 12 years ago! Awesome!
Hi Chad, I've been revisiting the Breaking Benjamin catalog for the first time in a few yearZ, and I'm having a GREAT time studying your work again! I've even jumped behind my Kit to woodshed a few grooveZ and fillZ... I have always loved your playing...I studied under Jeremy Hummel, but you really brought a lot to the table when you joined! Maybe someday I'll have the honor of meeting you and asking you to sign my copy of the Modern Drummer 08 feature (I have your "Update" issue, aZ well). Happy New Year to you and yours 👍🎉🥁🥁🥁🥁
I really appreciate your kind words ❤️ I would love to meet up and sign your copy of MD. Hit me up @ chadszeliga@gmail.com Jeremy is a great teacher as well as a drummer 👏 your in great hands ... No pun attended lol
@@ChadSzeliga Holy shit, man... thank you for responding so quickly. You literally made my day, Chad. Thank you for that 🙂🥁🥁 I'll contact you when time permits
It's always awesome when you find out some of your favorite bands know/listen to each other in some way. Breaking Benjamin seems to have connections with Sevendust, Three Days Grace, RED ...
dude when are you guys comming to chicago listern to come relative ash you can find them on youtube u might like them thats the kinda style i play on the drums
Speaking of hard rock/heavy metal drummers that tend to put certain things in odd places of the song - or where you typically wouldn't think one would add something unique to make it sound cool - Mathew McDonough from Mudvayne imo takes the cake in that category. Seriously every time I listen to one of his grooves I'm so jealous, and almost even confused, because he really digs deep to blend those little things in there without standing out too much or jeopardizing the song. And it's not like he does it in a few songs here and there, but instead almost everything he plays in, and like Chad said it makes you think to yourself "why didn't I think of that?"
I wish he got more into his drumming. his stuff is badass but if he added that attitude of the music's vibe on stage it would be even better. but most of the time he is just chill.
@MrDaAnimator ok.. They are both great drummers, but you gotta think that chad is not the same style as joey, and its to different styles. They are both on my top ten drummers, but it wouldnt be a good battle.
u need a new battery in your smoke detector! Morgan is a great influence, one of my favorite drummers, he can keep a groove like no other and his style of playing is un-matched! BB and 7D for life
That person talking in the end freaked me OUT! You guys heart it too, right?? And dude.. change batteries in your firealarm. That shit could be dangerous
o my fucccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccking god you are the drummer please ima biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig fan of breaking benjamin i do diary of jane allllllllllllllllllllllllll of the time bro im practicing

Morgan Rose: Underrated! Great to see great young drummers give props to him

@Hardrockingamigo huh? this guy breaths drums and music. What did i miss for the last 12 years i have followed his drums?
Can you put up instructions for the rest of the song? I'm really curious about the chorus!
That was some pretty epic beatboxing right there.
Isn't it crazy that even though the actual lesson starts after half the video is finished...yet you learn a lot more during that part????
I wish he got more into his drumming. his stuff is badass but if he added that attitude of the music's vibe on stage it would be even better. but most of the time he is just chill.
