Drumeo definitely needs to do more videos like this with Chad. There are so many excellent drum parts in Breaking Benjamin songs that fall under the radar and go unnoticed.
It’s been a long time, but I was friends with him back in high school days recording him and two friends doing Rush covers! He was amazing, doing Neil Peart stuff! They even played at some local venues back then! And he a very humble guy! I still remember when he had been with Breaking Benjamin for a short period and happen to show up at a local pub in Ohio, and saw me and sat down with me for a while. We grabbed food and caught up. After he left, all my friends were like “how do you know him” 😂. He is such a great musician! Kudos Chad!!
Chad inspired so many more drummers than we will ever know and it wasn't because he was playing crazy complicated stuff on the surface. Rather, he was playing incredibly precise parts that are just as integral to the song as any other part. He defined the feel of that band forever. I could watch him play all day long. Thanks Drumeo and Chad!
I believe not too many would argue that the genius of Chad back in those days shaped Breaking Benjamin we had today. we're not alone, Phobia and Dear agony....these are the core albums of Breaking Benjamin. All other albums or songs seems like the re-arranged version of these 3 albums. And thats what we all enjoyed! Too many to mention but just this one, we all feel the vibes of 'Diary of Jane' when we listen 'Failure'. I know they are not the most technical drummers but like Chad himself said music is an art (not science) For me, Chad Szeliga(former Breaking Benjamin) and Travis Smith(former Trivium) will always be my top drummers of all time! Thanks! Drumeo for this video!!

Chad was a huge inspiration to me as a drummer in helping me understand that you can throw some fire on something, but also “pull back” and just support the groove. It doesn’t have to be either/or…you can find a perfect balance of both.
Much respect and appreciation to this man! 🙏
Chad is the guy thay molded a good part of my drumming, he's gottanone of the best fills and feeling, you can say that hearing and catching the references of other styles that he uses in his play, you can see a cover of me playing diary of jane some good years ago here in my channel!! Hahaha
Drumeo and Brandon, thank you for bring this Kind of content and this drummets too, is realy a good felling, full of nostalgia, thank you guys again!
This guy elevated the sound of breaking benjamin in the mid to late 2000's and those are the best albums they have. Chad's chops made them play styles that people loved to listen to and it hasn't been the same since. I Want to see chad in other Drumeo content.
8:51 speaks volumes that man is in the zone
Drumeo definitely needs to do more videos like this with Chad. There are so many excellent drum parts in Breaking Benjamin songs that fall under the radar and go unnoticed.
Chad Szeliga was the best drummer that Breaking Benjamin ever had! I was so sad when you left the band and this video brings me a lot of joy!!!!
Chad is amazing. I prefer Jeremy.
Chad plays this absolutely brilliantly and he is so humble.
Evil Angel has some amazing drumming, I'd love to see a breakdown of it
It’s been a long time, but I was friends with him back in high school days recording him and two friends doing Rush covers!
4:23 wow I never realized that wasn't double bass there. Really neat that the bass guitar tricks you
Grew up around Chad. One of the best drummers that I know. Thanks for pushing us to be better. My last lesson helped me to grow.
Pleeeease get Morgan Rose do one of these!
We love to see some Breakin Ben jammin
Jeremy Humnmel was on We Are Not Alone. Chad didn't join until after they released that album.
