Great set Chad!! I see you are playing DW now instead of Yamaha. Very good choice. I see your set is bigger now, with an extra mounted ride tom. Love the bass drum. You are definitely one of the most underrated drummers around!!
Chad seems like a very modest guy to be the drummer he is. One of the coolest drummers out their. How many other drummers of his caliber do you see out their that is so open and even offers lessons for a great price. Thx Bro I have always idolized Tommy Lee hes a great showman but then I saw you play and all I can say is wow!!
Hey Chad, huge fan of yours and really appreciate the walk-through. I love effects cymbals too and we have a few of the same splashes (9" Oriental and 6" A Custom). I thought it was really interesting that you use an Earth Ride as your main. I don't think I've seen any other professionals that do that.
Oh my god I love you (no home of course ;) You are the reason I started playing drum. Oh my god what I would give to jam with you for an hour haha. You are an inspiration. Not to mention you are apart of my favorite band. and you last name is just freaking awesome. my kit is nowhere near yours but its coming along Kit: Pearl Forum(Wine Red) Ludwig 14" Acrolite 12" and 13" Rack Toms 16" and 14'' Floor Tom 22" Bass Drum Zildjian K: 14" Hats 16" Crash 18" Crash 20" Crash Heads: Remo: Ambassadors
Man you got lots of cymbals! Love Zildjians (wish I could get some of those rezos) and vic firths. I love short toms too, they have a much more controlled attack. If I was in the market, that's the route I would go. And yes, that finish is pretty killer! I gotta check out those kit lights.
Hey Chad Big fan :) Gonna be doing drum covers soon on my channel and i might be getting endorsed by Pearl Drums soon sooo i was checking your sizes so i can get the same tone and sound as you :)
Late to comment Chad I know but always felt you have the coolest drum setups! But now we need an updated one of your Tama/Paiste configuration, either way really hope you resume posting more soon! \m/
Chad you are my idol!!! I go to JVS and watch your vids whenever I can dude, I love the way u groove and I can only play by ear and can’t read and Im slowly starting to actually take time and play calmer instead of bashing, and I try my best to keep time and and I’m having trouble opening and closing the high hat when I ride on the ride and playing the kick too.... if that makes any sense.... any advice?
When you Sign with DW drums, is it not okay if you don't endorse by other drum company? Because otherwise if I put none, Guess what? They will never welcome me to the DW family
NO! Don't go back to the traditional tom set up! The other one makes your kit so original and that just makes it say Chad all over it. I love how it looked too, it was unusual but not obnoxious :)
kick ass drum kit man I dig it it sucks living in a town house if I was in a house I would be playing I get a chance onces in a while to play when I am at my buddy house .when are you guys going to be in Chicago let me know man haven't never seen you guys live
I think it's an original kit , and a groovy kit ! The position of the ride seems also a little bit inspired by McBrain's position (if i can say :) ) or few other drummers like him ! Maybe one of the most original kit
shoulda linked me this when I was asking for pics of your kit XD (still hoping for a shot of the design you had on the front of the set during the filming of the Breaking Benjamin dvd :P and I might be officially turning my project in on Wednesday, depending on what my teacher says I could improve. You'll be my FAVORITEST drummer in the world if you can get me that pic :D)
It could be, I'm also confused, but I heard him say in his interview in Drum Channel that the reason he has his toms set up in reverse is because he used to play a lot of fills backwards/reversed, and that's why his rack-toms are reversed. That could be the meaning behind why he thinks he's decent enough to play traditional, although I'm not sure either.
@metaldudebuff92 thats up to you. I have a 20", they are easier to find. The 22" will pop up now and again but not as often. you should listen to each of them and choose on what you like
Hey Chad if you get a chance to answer this I'll appreciate it 'cause I'm just confused. When you said you're decent enough to play a traditional set up now what do you mean? Is setting the toms up the way you used to make things easier to play and how so? Just wondering. Amazing kit btw.
You look quite a lot different than I remember you looking. I couldn't work out how to word the previous sentence, and while it still looks incorrect, it's the best I could do.
@donlegoman11 As far as I know, the bassist and guitarist got booted but ben and chad are apparently gonna continue making music. I think it's still unknown as to what's going on beyond that.
Hope you can answer this Chad. I just wanted to know, why are Yamaha kits, like your old one so expensive? I know DW collectors are hard to find under 3,500 , but im seeing 6 piece Yamaha kits going for almost 8,000 ?? Is there a reason why they are so high in price and who does Yamaha expect to buy them? lol
thanks guys but Ben and I haven't been jamming for 6 yrs now!!!!
I like that you have a stick bag with the variety of drumsticks that’s really cool
thanks so much Taylon. means the world to me. I thank God everyday to be appreciated and blessed!!!!!
Love your drumming Chad. You definitely are a rocking drummer, and always listening to learn from other drummers.
Favorite drummer hands down. You are my idol man, love your style and technique!
Thank you so much for putting up these new videos! Really excited for the tuning tutorial.
Hey man this vid is sweet! Love the setup and love your drumming! Cant wait to hear more \m/
Beautiful kit Chad!
Looks really good
Nice looking drum kit.
That's a nice set up
Chad goes "you don't need all this to make yourself sound good, i do though"
Great set Chad!! I see you are playing DW now instead of Yamaha. Very good choice. I see your set is bigger now, with an extra mounted ride tom. Love the bass drum. You are definitely one of the most underrated drummers around!!

Awesome drum kit too
K Series are incredible.

Did the Zildjian A custom Rezo Cymbals just discontinued?
Thanks bro. God bless.
The dogbone system is the most awesome hardware system i've ever seen!!!
@Baggsiv Cannot wait for that video! (:
Oh my god I love you (no home of course ;) You are the reason I started playing drum. Oh my god what I would give to jam with you for an hour haha. You are an inspiration. Hey Chad Big fan :) Gonna be doing drum covers soon on my channel and i might be getting endorsed by Pearl Drums soon sooo i was checking your sizes so i can get the same tone and sound as you :)
because i like the different sounds ... Im a big fan of splashes
Late to comment Chad I know but always felt you have the coolest drum setups! But now we need an updated one of your Tama/Paiste configuration, either way really hope you resume posting more soon! \m/
Why Tama/ Paiste configuration?
@@anthonyn1312 As he's no longer with any of the companies in this vid it'd be cool to see what precisely he's using now...
@@haydendraycott7897 when he will do Tama/Paiste configuration?

I also l love Zildjin and dw
Thanks so much brotha. I want to help everyone reach their goals and dreams. God bless.
When you sign with Zildjian before Paiste, I don't understand what does Preferred Gear and model mean
When you Sign with DW drums, is it not okay if you don't endorse by other drum company? Because otherwise if I put none, Guess what? They will never welcome me to the DW family
Companies want you to play their gear and maybe once in awhile you can play different snare
@@ChadSzeliga And also is that mean that I can put none?
@@anthonyn1312 I don't no what to say about that !!!
Your to kind lol. I use a 20x18 kick with subwoofer attached to the 20" . The total is 20 x 22. thanks for checking it out.
Thank you Chad! always learning of you! God bless you =)
They do make the 13" A Custom Mastersound hi-hats still
@Baggsiv Sweet deal. I'll actually be pretty excited for a tuning video. Can never have enough lessons on tuning, personally.
That kick is so hot! Haha.

Chad mentioned once that he has his ride mounted like Danny Carey (which he does), so I'm not sure if he got the idea from him or not. :D
nice custom cymbals

What kind of grip tape did you use with your Vic Firth Signatures?
YOU FUCKING ROCK SO GOD DAM HARD. WHAT A BADASS!!!
I WISH I COULD MEET YOU

I really would like to get the bass drum lights I don’t think so they still make them?
Last question i promise. Did you use a 20 inch bass drum for Breaking Benjamin? Albums, live ... thanks =)
@metaldudebuff92 thats up to you. I have a 20", they are easier to find. The 22" will pop up now and again but not as often. you should listen to each of them and choose on what you like
hi chad. can you make a video on how you tune your main snare drum? that would be awesome! cheers! :)
@BethSchlinkert Would it be possible to make a trigger that would make the light react to the drum being played?
Smaller toms are the way to go. They look so much better. Pearl , Dw and Sonor have realized that lower depth will sell based on looks alone.
@BAGGEDBIRDS Okay thanks! Would you recommend the 20 or 22?
Why did you switch from Zildjian cymbals to Paiste cymbals? And why did you switch from Vic firth drumstick to Vater drumstick?
Who sales the bassdrum lights?
What is the size of the first rezo crash? 18"?
Hey Chad if you get a chance to answer this I'll appreciate it 'cause I'm just confused. When you said you're decent enough to play a traditional set up now what do you mean? Is setting the toms up the way you used to make things easier to play and how so? Just wondering. Amazing kit btw.
I have a 20x20 because I too only play 20in kicks how do you think the 20x20 compares to the 18x20??
lol ur strobe light option on the kick drum would be an epileptics word nightmare...
What bass drum size is that? thank you master!
@metaldudebuff92 Ebay - usually 20" but a 22" will pop up from time to time.
I want an earth ride so bad! I heard they stopped making them though. Do they still do?
Hey Chad you're great! But what about your drumheads?
anybody have that Earth ride? not sure which to get, the 20 or 22?
When will that tuning video be online?
Hey Chad, what are you using for Drumheads?
What heads do you use?
Anyone knows if we can buy his signature stick somewhere?
what heads are u using?
Just curious Chad, what was the Yamaha set you played when you was with BB?
Yamaha maple absolute
+Chad Szeliga Thanks Chad. Was looking at some on ebay lol. Thanks for taking the time to answer questions.
so i've heard a lot of rumors and whatnot but has breaking benjamin broken up? I just really don't know and am curious. Thanks.
THANK YOU to Chad Szeliga of Breaking Benjamin, from LiT Urban Underglow, for endorsing our LiT LED Drum Kit!!! Looks awesome!
Oh my.. o_O can I have one of those kits maybe the one in the back not set up :D rlly need something to play on lol
Why do you have two 12 x 14’s?
You look quite a lot different than I remember you looking.
I couldn't work out how to word the previous sentence, and while it still looks incorrect, it's the best I could do.
no click
a 23? how would you get heads for that?
what kind of drum heads are those
How the hell did I never know Chad had his own youtube channel?
hey chad you and ben and the guys should do a jam for youtube live in your basement that would be cool just jamming or going over songs
Dang 200 bucks for the lights
@baxslol Im doing a single video on them and how to tune ...
why do you use two cow bells
i use vic firth SD4 sticks but i blow through sticks about once every month
@donlegoman11 As far as I know, the bassist and guitarist got booted but ben and chad are apparently gonna continue making music. I think it's still unknown as to what's going on beyond that.
tour of them yammies?
hey , what happen to BB ?
DUDE PLEASE TRY TO GET BREAKING BENJAMIN TOURING AGAIN!!!!!
They don't make Earth Ride's anymore.
Chad, why do you have two 6" a custom splashes..?
Just because it’s sound like family and sound same
@metaldudebuff92 ive found them on ebay
Hope you can answer this Chad. I just wanted to know, why are Yamaha kits, like your old one so expensive? hey chad do you play to a click live?
im not Chad but with the way he had it set up before would make it easier to play down the toms, at least for a right handed person, thats my guess.
This has nothing to do with drums, but you should make a video talking about your tattoos ;)
not sure brotha write DW and ask them ..
@mateusxxx probably
I dont I have a woodblock and a cowbell .
