Nice quick tip learned a ton!! But it seems better to just subdivide that one square and than do fit to circle. Creates a much nicer result that isn't offset. Hope this helps!
Great tips, thanks! It would be so good to have 3Ds Max SMART EXTRUDE tools in C4D. It's extremely fast to work with poly modelling in 3Ds Max due to that toolset.
Here’s my way, that you can also use for cutting holes on the sides of cylinders. Find a point you want as the centre of your hole. Select the four polygons that surround it. Draw them in and take it from there. You also won’t need to add unnecessary geometry. It’s also lighting fast 👍
There should be (TH-cam) awards for people who manage to produce helpful content in a brief and efficient way.
Maxon training team is so useful for learning c4d. They explain very well.
You’re a genious, great trick.
It’s cool. Thanks a lot!
Thank you!

Yeah, I always try to go for 8 sides with subdiv circles, it's the sweet spot
Great tips, thanks!

now that maxon owns zbrush, please bring zmodeler like functionality into c4d. also the insanely useful deformers in zbrush. 🙏
