  • So I had my clutch slipping a little last year, and on advisement of the people who know best over at the roadstarclinic.com I put a Barnett Spring kit into my bike. WHAT A Difference it made this is in no way the whole process for doin this kind of work, and if your not mechanical inclined, please take it to your local bike shop.

    Enjoyed the metal guitar riff 😁🤘 one question tho, that foot shifter is that?
    Getting tired of my heel/toe set up, thinking of changing it, yours is eye catching

    My brother, your video looks a lot like mine! I done all the work on my video, yet my son Rocky Ramirez edited the video, and put it on U-Tube for me as he's the computer guy, I'm just an old bike guy. Your work is great, and hey I liked the Music! It to drives me nuts, yet in a good way! Perhaps we can touch base sometime, talk shop, and to you and the 35,000+ viewers who saw my video, that was my first attempt to do the clutch conversion, yet I had mostly great reviews, and of course there's always the Buttheads, yet it came out sweet!

      Thank man, What video is yours, I watch one other video on here before I installed the Barrnett Spring. Some people need a play by play on how to do something, I'm just not a big video talking though, but thanks for watching my video. Keep the shinny side up.

      After looking up Rocky Ramirez, YEP Yours was the only video I watched for when I did the conversion to the Barnett Spring. So Thanks for that Video. I would have never know about the 2 DOTS lineup.

      Your welcome my Brother. Us Bikers need to watch each others backs. I can't believe I have had just over 36,000 hits! Holy Cow. I hope I have helped many as doing this conversion really gives tons of improvement to the Rhodie Clutch...

    Great video thanks for sharing no need to remove the foot board then. Did you unplug the stand sensor? One other thing when removing the bolts to the cover did you have to do it in any order they suggest in the manual to do it in a crisscross manner is this correct or necessary

      WINDZUP 1700
      No I didnt remove the stand I just used a wobbly Allen wrench but it would be alot easier if you do, but if your not in a hurry it will all work out for ya.
      Thank for watching.

    Hello. Have a good day.
    Can you give me some advise about my warrior? When I have in gear while riding have some noise like iron on iron but in neutral have no sound.I think its coming from clutch or gear box. What do you think? what can it be?
    Thanks further 🙏

    doesn't any read the manual, 1999 to 2003 the two notches on the friction disc match to the two dimples on the basket, but from 2004 and on the SINGLE notch on the friction disc gets matched to the two dimples on the basket also the oem pressure plate has dot to match up

    Are the plates in the new clutch kit in the exact order that they are supposed to go back into the bike?

    • @jthowson
      @jthowson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It dosen't come with new clutch kit, or plates. It only came with the pressure plate, and springs, new bolts. And yes I put the old plates and clutch parts back in exactly the same way they came out.
      Thanks for watching

      @@jthowson ok, my warrior slips in high from and was told that it's the clutch. What part of the clutch would be causing in to be slipping?

    • @jthowson
      @jthowson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look at you clutch pack when you disable it, look for burn mark, missing chunks of clutch. My RS. was slipping in higher gears also. The good people over ar the roadstarclinic.com told me it probably wasn't my clutch pack, just the clutch spring. About 2yrs prior I has the same slipping problem at higher gears, and just replaced the spring with a stock one. 2nd time around I want with the Barnett. No problems.

      Had nothing but trouble with the stock spring type, even tried a EBC spring, still slipped after a couple years. decided to throw in the Barnett spring, because at this point it couldn't hurt. And no the clutch pack was just fine. Thanks for watching
