      @@RaziyatheRavager do you have any tips on hunter aoe farming or cleaving? What spells and pets to use. I'm new to hunter (lvl 20 in classic so far)

      @@PaoYong Gratz on 20! That's very solid. :) Learn how to Multi-Shot into the deadzone, and pick up engineering for much stronger cleave early on.
      You'll get Volley and Explosive Trap later on, and you should pick up a Ravager when you can. It's surprisingly useful.

      @@RaziyatheRavager I'm completelly new to the game, what exactly do you mean by 'multi-shot into the deadzone'? Also, what is the use of disengage, I thought it would be sort of similar to feign death, but whenever I use it, it doesn't seem to do anything.

    • @RaziyatheRavager
      @RaziyatheRavager  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@enderalex300 Disengage is funny, most of us don't pay it any mind. It reduces your aggro a bit, but Feign Death is all we _really_ need since it straight-up drops aggro. Disengage is also supposed to 'remove your character from combat mode', so maybe it's useful for dropping traps if Feign fails. Kind of niche, given that that works at all.
      What I mean by Multi-Shot into the deadzone is this:
      Hunters have three areas to consider - range, deadzone, and melee. Range is past 8 yds away where you can fire normal shots. Deadzone is the spot between 5-8 yds, where you can't melee or range at all. And melee is under 5 yds, where obviously you can melee strike.
      Multi-Shot strikes three targets. You can fire on a target ~8 yds away with Multi-Shot, and it can strike other targets closer to you, in the deadzone or in melee, that you couldn't normally hit with a ranged attack.
      I hope that answers your questions!

    What are the camera and mouse settings to do a kiting like this?

    • @RaziyatheRavager
      @RaziyatheRavager  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, I just use my right mouse button to turn my character and camera simultaneously, and the left mouse button to turn only my camera. I keep the sensitivity up very high so I can turn around instantly.
      I prefer to not give the in-game camera any control. No auto-following or anything of the sort.
      Hope that helps!

    Hi! What addon do u use for bow-timer, 'white bar' ?

    • @RaziyatheRavager
      @RaziyatheRavager  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey mate! That should be... rais_AutoShot, if I remember correctly.
      .
      This is a REALLY old video. You might want to look into YaHT or WeaponSwingTimer or something of that nature on official Classic. And if you want a longer demonstration of kiting, I'd recommend having a look at the Teremus the Devourer kite I did back on Kronos, from the Blasted Lands to Ironforge.
      .
      Hope that helps!

    Mobs are leashed on Northdale. Still works in instances, and on some elites(like you can, with some perseverance kite Stitches into Westfall. VERY important skill if you raid and are short on tanks, gives hunters another utility besides just being tranq bots. Thank you for this and all of your guides. Is it OK if I link them to our guild webpage?

    • @RaziyatheRavager
      @RaziyatheRavager  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's perfectly okay, mate! I'm more than happy to help, and I'm very glad you've found them helpful.
      Aye, can't kite Teremus to Ironforge like ya could on Kronos, but maybe that'll be possible in official Classic. Northdale has phasing, unfortunately. Err, if you didn't see THAT vid, it's kinda like an advanced kiting tutorial. Here's a link:
      th-cam.com/video/3Lkgr6JGAUY/w-d-xo.html
      Hunters have tremendous utility besides Tranq Shot! We can Aspect of the Pack tanks out quicker on Ouro, we can provide nature resistance for Huhuran, and our flares can be used as temporary raid gathering markers (i.e. on Thaddius, use Flares to mark the minimum range so hunters who need to swap sides can get back to the minimum range ASAP. melee who stand at the max melee range will get the buff if you're at minimum range and you can do ranged DPS).
      Hope that helps! And hey, if you wanna talk hunter technique more than whatever I've put out in tutorials, hit me up any time. :)

    are the mobs you are kiting not supposed to leash at some point? or am i missing something?

    • @RaziyatheRavager
      @RaziyatheRavager  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are not supposed to leash at some point, unless you pass into an instance. This has nothing to do with kiting, but rather with a recently-created glitch on Elysium where things are randomly resetting for no discernible reason.
      Nostalrius put phases in zones to account for the high population and reduce lag. If you pass from one phased area into another, whatever you were kiting will have dropped off. These phasing borders are typically located between zones, such as the terrain between Loch Modan and the Badlands.

      Leashing was something blizz added after people had too much fun with big monsters.

    • @810wasaninsidejob9
      @810wasaninsidejob9 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You can still kite in Vanilla, but most boss mobs will reset after a certain range threshold. Blizzard changed it after people kited Lord Kazzak to Stormwind a few times. After a certain amount of time, he would enrage and do an AoE attack that one shot people. He would also heal every time he killed someone. As it was literally impossible to kill him when he was farming every one in Stormwind, GM's had to use commands to kill him.

    Is the jump kite shot absolutely necessary to master? Or can I strafe kite successfully to compensate?

    • @RaziyatheRavager
      @RaziyatheRavager  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can strafe kite too. You can fire in a 180-degree cone in front of you, so all you would need to do is turn very slightly towards the foe you want to shoot whenever you're ready to shoot 'em. Jump kiting can be slightly more precise because you don't need to change direction even slightly, but it's a very minimal difference.
      Hope that helps!
