For anyone who's getting a puppy for the first time I promise its the best choice you could make my little german shepad slept by my side for the first night we actually fell asleep on the living room sofa she was really scared but I put on the tv and she was like what is this I couldn't imagine my life without her now she got me out of my depression and anxiety never worry about getting a puppy its the best choice ever

Edit: It’s been a month and I love my baby boy as well as baby girl! We ended up getting brother and sister and they are so cute. They are bich-poo pups. Their names are Chance and Willow. They have settled in very well and I didn’t feel prepared but I think I was ready ❤️😍
2nd Edit:My parents have had dogs before they know how to take care of them, I was worried that they weren’t gonna like me. I wasn’t the one who was going to buy the puppies, I’m just a kid and I was excited and FELT unprepared. We were not unprepared.

My first week with my puppy was difficult. Cleaning up after accidental pee & trying to potty train. At the same time, I couldn’t sleep at night 😆 but as time goes by, they learn pretty fast! Keep in mind you will have accidents here & there, so keep an eye on your pup always! I wasn’t prepared but I somehow got thru it. It was worth it, because she’s amazing ♥️

It was a massive fail for us as we picked up the puppy at about 6pm, by the time we got home it was bed time. Poor pup screamed all night. Thankfully it has been much better every night since (2 weeks) and he doesn't cry at all in the crate now.
I got my puppy yesterday and I got him from a first time breeder, his first night was amazing he was sooo calm and relaxed and he takes a bunch of naps and still sleeps through the night (he slept in my bed, I’m trying to not put him in a crate as much as possible because he’s small and prone to separation anxiety). I have to say that all dogs are different so these tips may not be for every dog but they are still great tips and an adorable puppy video 😂 sorry for this long comment I’m just SO FREAKING HAPPY I HAVE A PUPPY AND WANTED TO PUT MY ENERGY INTO A COMMENT 😂 OKAY have a nice day anyone who read all of this 😆

Her name is Ida and she is a Red Standard Poodle. I got her from an in-home breeder so she had house manners when I got her and was already used to kids. They had also already started teaching her basic commands. I don’t regret buying her at all.
if youre a kid i would recommend getting your puppy ear or in summer so that theyre not alone

We bought our puppy from a breeder with great reviews and they are verified on Twitter and Facebook and we get our 7 weeks old black Labrador tomorrow and I’m so excited and these tips seemed logical and very helpful! Thankyou and your dogs seem lovely and very happy with you and honestly, who can blame them?

James Cousins should be 8-10 weeks. in some states it’s illegal to let puppies go before 8 weeks. they need to be with their mother and siblings for enough time.

We actually did most of this with our beagle when he was a puppy only because we learnt the hard way when our labrador was a puppy that he needs to be kept awake for as long as possible before putting him to be, the only thing we learnt the hard way with our beagle was that he calmed down a lot once we had the crate in my bedroom. He's old enough to be out of the crate now and sleeps on my bed with me :)

I’m so happy I found you, I literally just adopted an 8 mo old shepherd/terrier mix today. She is doing great in her crate and got lots of exercise. She is in there now sleeping away zero crying. But I’m thinking I should wake her and take her out again before bed now. Thank you I think your videos are going to help us so much❤ it’s been 15 years since I trained a new baby.

What you guys do after they up ? Like can you give an idea of a schedule I got a toy poodle 8 weeks first night crying and very little sleep, so in the day he sleeps better no more than 3 hours twice and we put him in his crate around 11pm he woke up crying 2 hours later told my husband no to pick him up . Guess what he’s doing right now.. carrying him in his arms cause he’s just a baby and must feel lonely, but I told him he’s not helping with training... Help

First Night is in the books with no accidents! Thanks Rachel. It was a rainy night, but we were up every 2 hrs taking her out. We all did great!
How has it been ?
Puppies can not make it through the night without having to go. 2 month old can hold 2 hours, 3 month 3 hours. Take them outside to relieve themselves several times per night. Yes, several times per night. Set them up for success. No punishment for accidents- that’s YOUR fault! If you catch them in the act a quick gentle “no” and redirect where and praise 🎉. My dog never had an accident because took her outside several times every night and praised her when going outside. She actually does her business in same spot 🎯 and I clean ASAP. Dogs like to be clean. We are everything to a dog…create a loving, supportive bond…best thing ever for both of you. No intimation, yelling, hitting needed! In fact dog are nonverbal so yeah, they learn hand commands. It’s really cool. They even can learn eye commands. They are so amazing.

All that cuteness overload. Ha, experienced people really don't mind skipping the puppy phase. Just being honest. I mean, a nice adult dog adjusts so fast. A puppy has to learn everything. You have a critically important job here raising this puppy. This is when this little animal's brain is a super soaking sponge. It's a job on top of whatever else you're doing. That's for the first six months alone. You have vet appointments, training, socializing, housebreaking, crate training, and a lot of chewing (puppy teeth). See what I mean? I say do things right at this period of life. You're setting this dog up for the future right now.

What could I do if I want them to sleep on my bed? Is that a bad choice? I want the dog to sleep on my bed also your the whole reason my parents said yes to a dog! Thank you so much!
Alexis Marie hiii uh my puppy’s vet said that it is very bad to let your pet sleep on your bed or even get on it you can let your puppy on your bed after the 5th vaccination bring a good quality bed for your dog to feel comfortable 💕

My puppy didn’t cry at all the first night! I thought something was wrong but she was so tired she just passed out. It was super easy for me so make sure all you guys play with them for so long.
