Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
1. Plan The Day Your Gonna Bring It Home, Make Sure You Stay At Home For The Next 2-3 Days Straight
2. Stay Outdoors- Let Them Go Outside And Play Around, Also Sit On The Ground And Let Them Come To You, Greet You, Smell You Etc.
3. Play - Bring Out Some Toys You Think They Might Like, Also Playing With Them Helps You Build A Bombay And Trust And Get Them Used To A Collar (Pick The Right Type Of Collar For Your Dog)
4. Set Boundaries- If You Want Them To Stay In Your Sight But Still Do What You Wanna Do, Get A Play Pin, But DO NOT Leave Them In A Play Pin For Long Periods Of Time
5. PREPARE FOR POOP- Get Ready To Clean Up The Poo😂

OMG yas! Who is binge-watching her videos because you want a quarantine companion? (ME!) My parents will probably say no lol
this might not be the ideal time because if you spend all the time at home with your puppy during quarantine and then go back to your normal routine and have to leave your puppy alone it would be a big change and they would have a hard time adapting. if you are getting a puppy during this time you should make sure that you leave them alone for short periods of time so they don't develop separation anxiety. also this might not be a great time because socialisation opportunities are limited and you can't go in public much.

Beautiful. I watched this because we entered an application for an adorable puppy. Good thing we have a huge fenced-in yard from our last dog, and wood under the fencing. (Because we my last dog was younger, she liked to dig lol)

I do not agree on 1 thing. Puppy pads arent a good desicion becuz if you train and reward them when they do their business on this kinda surface they're gonna get used to that and do it on similar surfaces. Much better option is doggy toilet with grass, or maybe rocks but not a piece that feels like ur rug. But u make great videos thanks! :)))

Maddie Eldridge I would recommend to adopt and not shop adopting a dog at an animal shelter is cheaper and better since most animals in the shelter have been through rough things and most dogs at shops are born at puppy mills which are horrible places plus puppies are usually more lucky at shops where the ones at shelters need the love and help you can give them by adopting them.

This is wonderful advice for a sunny, warm climate. I am bringing a puppy home to several feet of snow and sub zero temperatures. We will start outside, but will be bringing them inside for play as soon as they go potty since it's so cold and hard to walk through the snow for a little puppy. Thanks for the tips!

So im getting a new puppy ( 5 months pomsky) and I've been doing research about pet food and snacks and a lot of controversial issues came up from pet food brands with the death of cats and dogs during 2007-2009. So now im terrified and i dont know what I'll feed my future dog. If you have any knowledge of what brands to avoid and what you recommend that would be great. Thank you!

Helen Ashbrook for some breeds/dogs will be able to run out. (Ex: Greyhounds.)
my yard doesn’t have a fence and we just find a really long dog line / leash and nail the hook thing onto a tree and you can clip it onto their collar and it works great

We’re picking up our puppy in 2 weeks!! I saved about 20 videos to watch on how to survive our first night together and tips for a successful first week. THIS/YOUR video was the FIRST I watched, and I just deleted the rest!! You were meant to be our guide, as I have been doing lots of research on making our own food for her and giving her fresh food (as opposed to kibble). THEN, I just watched your video on finding a holistic veterinarian (which I had NO IDEA existed) and I knew you were the PERFECT match for us. Due to my chronic illnesses, we live a chemical-free lifestyle. Why wouldn’t I choose the same for our new puppy?? Loving everything I’m learning. Thank you SO MUCH for opening my eyes to all of it. ♥️♥️♥️

Puppy pads are hit or miss. I use them only sometimes. If you can go without, that may be best!

no never use puppy pads I used a puppy pad and now my dog pees on the carpet because he thinks he is using one of those pads dogs see differently than humans love the tips tho

Briahna Cruz No it probably wouldn’t. The dog would get used to the spot where the puppy pad was, and possibly pee in that spot regardless of whether it is carpet or wood. Only difference is, wood is easier to clean up.
@@briahnacruz8032 pee pads are the worst. Just don't give a chance to pee on the floor and if they do pee, simply clean it up and go along with your day. If you reward them (think lots of treats and maybe a small party) when they go potty outside, but do nothing when they go inside, they will go outside in order to try and get a reward.
Alexander Wright sorry but I disagree. I paper trained all my dogs as pups. Done this for 35 years. You need to do it properly. I don't crate train and never have. So I block off a room that is puppy proof.

What if i live in an apartment building? I dont have a back yard. I only have a yard downstairs. im planning to get a dog or puppy so how do i plan the schedule out so they know when their chance is to use the bathroom? any reccomendations??
Kimberly Taylor :DD They use a bathroom after they eat, in the morning, and in the night. Also use the puppy pad it’s not the best method but it’s great for emergency’s
You’ll have to walk the dog on leash to go potty! Puppies will need to go out to potty every 1-3 hours (depending on age and size), even throughout the night!
Kimberly Taylor :DD I would recommend in the morning during the day and before bedtime also just to be safe it's usually recommended to take your puppy outside every hour and then when it does it's business outside give it a treat and say good boy/girl or something so he/she can learn that doing it outside is good but it could take a few days for it to get used to it.
Hi, if it’s a toy breed you can use a puppy potty, that’s what I’m doing. I have no garden whatsoever
Is it okay to leave my puppy crated at night when i sleep ? Or should i just leave the door open and let her just be free in her confined area in my room. She's super small so the area is big to her. She'll go in the crate when she wants to lay down if I leave the door open I also leave her when i go to school ( I don't have school 2 days of the week) i just need advice thanks! Also she doesn't have a problem being in her crate she won't cry or whine to get out and I've already somehow got her not to use the bathroom in her crate she'll go when I let her out out on her puppy pad. She's also way too small to go outside btw
Zakiyyah Flores It’s alright to keep her in the crate when you sleep or maybe get a gate to put around her crate so she can walk around a bit while you sleep or when you’re not home. Just remember to put down some pee pads!
She can sleep in the crate! Just make she was able to pee right before and had plenty of exercise during the day
