I'd like to add: I just bought the Johnny Glocks Evolution X Drop-in Combat Trigger System with the add ons of the flat faced metal shoe and striker. I can honestly say - there is no G43X that will compare to mine! It has the best trigger and action I've ever felt on any Glock! Absolutely AMAZEBALLS!

I'm pretty green when it comes to Glock, and I've been devouring your videos trying to figure out the best trigger set up for my Gen 35 that will be used for Limited USPSA. Right now, I use a Canik TP9SFX with a Freedomsmith trigger, and Galloway Precision lightened spring kit. Almost no take up, zero over travel, sitting around 3lbs. I'd like to build something similar but jesus am I deep in the weeds trying to figure out what to do. Thank for these incredible videos...I'm learning a ton, including learning that I have a lot to learn!

Another thing I believe controls how “snappy” a reset is the type of steel the connector is made out of and how springy the steel is. I personally like the Glock dot connector in my Gen 2 & 3 Glocks. I hate the “creep” in the minus connector.

I finally bought my first Glock clone, the Polymer80 PFC9 and bought two parts to mod it's trigger. The Ghost Edge 3.5 kit and a Zev Flat faced non adjustable pro trigger. Using the lighter safety plunger spring along with the 4 lb. striker spring I ended up with a 2.5 pound trigger pull. (Much lighter than I expected) This isn't a carry pistol and I would think it would be dangerous to do so. But this combination along with the Ghost 6 lb. trigger return spring, I ended up with a faster and lighter trigger than any of my other pistols including my 1911. This only cost $128 total.
About the 5th time watching this video and I always learn something when I do. I just swapped in the apex trigger and connector and idk if I felt that much of a difference on the break compared to the dot. Gen 5 G45. Looking at a minus or a ghost edge next to test and maybe tune.
Fascinating! So the Minus connector makes the break longer And softer? And bending the connector in only softens the reset and doesn't make the trigger break lighter?
Ok if i use a 3.5 connector with a stock trigger spring and reduced power on safety nuband a stock striker spring will i get a nice crisp trigger and still use hard primer ammo ?
So if I wanted a solid wall with a short crisp break I need a low deg (80) connector, but if I want a trigger to have a fast reset I need a high deg (100) connector. So to have both a short crisp break and a quick reset I would need to start with a low deg (80) connector and then shave away the bottom circumference of the trigger bar where it meets the connector so that when the trigger bar sits on top of the connector only the top of the trigger bar protrudes past the connector essentially shortening the amount of bar that needs to clear the connector before the reset. Do I have that right?

your explanation at the 11:00 minute mark, is just Pythagoras(A squared plus B squared equals the square-root of line C, but made more complicated, IMO, where the height(vertical line) is A, the length is B(Horizontal line) and C is the third leg, (the diagonal line)...
You probably know what my problem is. I have a Glock 23 gen 3. I took the Timney Alpha 3-4 trigger out of a 4th gen Glock 17 and put the Timney trigger in my gen 3 Glock 23. I have a dot connector that also came out of the G17 gen 4 and I put that in my gen 3 G23 too. Anyway, my G23 gen 3 will not fire now. I get nothing but the lightest of primer strikes. I put the factory Glock trigger back in my Gen 3 Glock 23 and it shoots just fine again. Is the dot connector not compatable with the Timney Alpha 3-4 trigger?
JG what are your thoughts on the NY trigger spring in your defensive carry trigger group? I have 2 of your carry triggers in my 19’s, I just acquired a Gen 4 23, considering setting it up for .357 Sig daily carry. I was told that the NY spring will function even if the spring breaks not sure if that’s true? As always appreciate your wisdom & expertise! PS. Grew up shooting double action revolves-heavy trigger pull not a prob.
STILL, have not received the newer connector for my $200 G34 MOS Competition trigger that would not fire OR reset! Over 30 days and another phone call!
Ok Johnny I have a stock 19 trigger so to make it simple I want to have a connector with less pull. What connector should I get so I am not jerking the gun when I am pull the trigger with this stock 5.5 lb connector. And I am hold the gun tight with both hands. I have polished the trigger parts. What is your recommendation?

I have a ss mr 920 and although trigger is decent on it...it is somewhat spongy. I dont want a lighter trigger but a more crisp break. So something along the lines of smooth takeup ( dont care if its a bit long) then firm wall to crisp break with a good positive reset. I like the trigger shoe that is on it now so can I get decent results by simply changing connector? If so what brand and weight? Thanks to anyone that can assist in this undertaking in advance
I have a Glock oem gen 3 trigger and all the corresponding parts and I’m having the issue where when I hold the trigger and the slide goes foward (getting ready too test the reset) the firing pin will go off and the trigger doesn’t reset and I have to re rack the slide and start all over I feel like this is a big problem any fixes?
Just built a Glock using the freedom wolf frame, all gen 4 oem parts except a zev connector and spring. Gen 5 completely stock g19 slide. Gun is randomly burst firing. Any ideas? Plunger spring is fine.

Learn the proper way to grip a pistol and shoot more. Get a lot of dry fire reps in. Sounds like a fundamental issue not a trigger issue
