I purchased both off of Amazon and the video represents my opinion as I dissected each. I am not a fuel filter expert, just a normal tech with over 20 years of experience in the automotive field. Also showcasing some aftermarket accessories like the aluminum Fuel filter housing as well as the neat KlickWrench socket.

    Today I learned that I was supposed to torque my fuel filter housing to a certain torque and not just to where it felt just right. Well shit

    Excellent comparison. I think that Chinese filter looks so similar to the ACDelco that most people will think it's the same thing but cheaper. I wouldn't call it garbage, but wouldn't call it good either.
    A guy I work with just had the HP4 on his L5P completely seize and sent metal through the entire fuel system. It crashed so hard that 4 or 5 teeth came off of the gear on the pump. Luckily the gear on the engine side was unharmed. I'm fairly certain he runs genuine TP1015 filters and the pump just gave out. But still, there's no reason to save a few dollars on cheaper filters when they could be what causes pump failure. Not worth the risk to me.
    Also, I've had the 36mm Klick Wrench for about two years now and it has worked pretty well. I will just caution that it is a little snug on the OE filter housing. Kind of annoying to get on and off. Not necessarily a bad thing though. Too loose of a fit could round off the plastic. I recommend it for anyone looking to not pay the dealer price to change your fuel filter. The socket and couple of TP1015's is cheaper than parts and labor for a single filter swap at the dealer.

    I couldn’t find in your videos, but I thought I remember one that you mentioned what diesel additive that you used on your 3.0 Duramax. Could you reply or post what you use? I just purchased a new 2023 and want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to help it run efficiently

    Just wondering if you have ran a turbo heat blanket and it makes a difference in under the hood temps and maybe performance.

      I have not. I did reach out to a few companies and we did not get any where. There is someone that took one and cut it up to work, but I did not hear anything further about it.

    What’s your thoughts on the aftermarket fuel filter systems like VSE or the FASS?

      Running the VSE right now. Excellent next level filtration. DOUBLE FILTRATION - VSE Fuel System Saver 3.0 Duramax Diesel

    You have more than one video replacing the OEM Fuel filter. What about the VSE fuel filter system? Is no longer recommended?

    I have a 23 silverado lz0, in 4HI when i fully turn the steering wheel to do a uturn at about 4 mph, the truck started shaking. But when driving it is fine, switiching back to 2hi and everything was normal.

    • @DemonWorks
      @DemonWorks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You should only use 4hi when you really need it. You can damage the components if used on grippy road, the 4wd system needs to be able to slip, like in dirt or heavy snow. The system is binding when you are turning...

      @@DemonWorks oh ok, i had no idea. It was raining really hard where i live and i decided i would use 4 wheel drive to be safe. But ok thx for the explanation, auto should be good right, front wheels engaging when really needed

      @@DemonWorks Perfect, I would only use 4Low in real off roading like climbing up hills etc. If your just driving down gravel or something you can go decently fast in 4Hi works
