Mine threw a check engine today. Dealership said it was the coolant pump for the intercooler. This would be the second time it has been replaced in a few months.

These engines inhale def when you're towing but something to keep in mind on gm trucks, the dte is just a calculation. It's not like a fuel pump where the fluid level is reported instantaneously

Don't they check those on the vehicles pdi inspection once received by the dealership? I worked at Freightliner for a long while and hated doing the u bolt torque checks.

My auto stop only worked the 1st 200 miles , after that , it has not activated. On the other hand, I can not get my seat belt notification to stop beeping, even when the settings is off

Not sure it makes a huge difference, but fuel additive for the diesel when you fill up as well?

I would gladly pay an extra $50 or $100 dollars for an engine that was engineered with a Chain. GM saves a few dollars. Consumer pays thousands. Now do the emissions.

Heres how i get rid of the clunking noise on this general motors product. You drive to your local TOYOTA dealership and trade it in on the all new 2024 TUNDRA and you will not ever hear that clunking noise ever again!!!!!

I see you using the EPA MPG figures which is fine, but what cost per gallon are you using? Locally I am paying $0.20-0.40 less per gallon for diesel then regular. Looks like your using $3.04 for regular, $3.8867 for diesel and 3.95 for premium in the 6.2. So for me my 75k fuel bill would be $9700 vs your 13,250, so $3568 cheaper and thus cheaper then the 5.3.

Which of the intakes increased the intake noise the most? I don't care about a few horsepower but I do want to hear something from my new truck.

Did the S&B Intake with the PPE Zilla pipe on my 23 Trailboss LT LZ0. Left the bottom input open as well as I am in NY and there really isn't any crazy dust. Love the noise on it and like the intake itself. I also didn't use the pipe as I was running the PPE Zilla with my stock box but i have really enjoyed the air intake so far. Pretty great so far.

You don’t have to worry about an extension on a torque wrench. Torque Test Channel even has a video on common myths with the torque wrench. You have no loss of accuracy with that small of an extension. Now, extensions do have an impact while using impact guns (pun intended). Time for me to go check the rear end.

I had a rotating sound I could hear as I came to a stop in my 22. Never found it. I’m guessing a bearing or something out of alignment. Never could duplicate it when lifted on a rack.

I wonder how much difference the belts would be between putting 100k miles on one in a couple years compared to one with 100k miles put on it in 10, 12, 16... years.

It drives me crazy when guys shove pieces of rubber under the ends of the leaf springs or smear them with grease. They tell everyone that's how they just "fixed" the noise and so more guys do it, and then a month later the original guy is back in the discussion, angry because the noise is worse than ever. Dorman sells the anti friction inserts for the leaf springs. If you know what you're doing, you can pull the leaf springs apart and replace the delrin anti friction pads and clean any dirt off. No grease, just let the plastic ride against the surface of the spring. It's crazy how often the u-bolts are way undertorqued.

My 2024 Trail Boss had the leaf spring clunk noise from new. But now i have about 5k miles on the truck it’s mostly quiet. I will be torquing the bolts down though now that i’ve seen this.

I definitely have some noise coming from mine.

I have over 12K miles on mine 2023 Silverado 1500 Duramax but I don't think it came with 2" lift from factory mine is a LT Z71 4x4 but normal I don't know is that has something to do but next oil change I'll make sure to check , always watching your videos always helpful to learn. Thanks

Had my driver side leaf reolaced, 15 1700 and it started making noise again at like 5k. Kind of a bummer for such an expensive vehicle

I installed “spring things” they are rubber sheets cut out that you stuff in the ends of the leafs got rid of the clunk

Great video man, I always watch your videos to get an idea of what I’m about to install on my Duramax. I installed this same intake on my truck and I always have a caution pop up saying “air filter needs checked” about twice month. Do you have this same problem?

Thanks for the info! Can’t wait to get home and get this done to see if it helps. I have taken it to the dealer at least twice to get this noise resolved and both times they said they did what they could but it always persisted. I hope this helps.

I would like to see someone have this product analyzed, maybe one of the oil sample testing companies to see what is in it. I appreciate you taking the time to produce your video.

I had both leaf packs replaced on my 2023 X31 Sierra. The clunking noise came back but not quite a bad and frequent so far in 10000 miles. I had a similar issue with 2019 F150.

It said 120 to 140 degrees not lbs why are you torquing to 140

I have a 2023 GMC with the LZ0, that I’ve had since new. I installed an iDash right when I purchased the truck. I have never seen over 200 miles between regens. What steps should you recommend to increase the distance between regens? The past 3 regens have been 148, 157, and 141.

I have a click when pulling into parking lots or driveways and also what sounds like something smacking the side of the bed like a loud thud. I have tried the spring things but they did not help. I torqued the U Bolts and also the leaf spring mounting bolts. Has anyone had the leaf springs replaced with TSB 21-NA-200? Were these noises fixed?
