@@MillerWoodturning I've also seen a few turners use it for small areas. I think I like it in the big area. It looks more bark like than straight resin.
I agree 100%. I didn’t think I would like it at first. And the person that it was for did request the coffee. I’m still a little worried about out durable it’s going to be.
Corndog thats a pretty bowl!!
Lot of time and hard work went into that bowl
Yes there was a lot of work. Thank you for watching.
I really like the way this bowl is turning out. At 1st I didn't think it had a chance until you used Resin then I could see what it will turn out. Great job 😊😊

We work with Mesquite all the time here in South Texas near Devine. I currently try have about 90 tons waiting to go on the sawmill.😁
Wow. How big in diameter is the mesquite there at the trunk. Here is west Texas a big tree is about 8-10 inches. A huge tree is over 12 inches but there isn’t many out there.
Love the work Corndog

Corndog. I think using coffee is a great idea. It's a great filler to save resin. I think im going to do that. Thanks man.
Give it a shot. Make sure you use a pressure pot though. I had to deal with a lot of bubbles due to this piece did not fit in my pot. Thank you for watching and entering.
Mesquite? Save the wood chips and saw dust for me. My smoker loves it! OBTW the bowl was nice too!!! lol

Thank you. I was afraid the coffee addicts out there would disown me. Lol.
Thanks for entering.
Amazing. I still cant figure out why everyone is so obsessed with Corndog Mesquite. Coffee mesquite would probably be more pleasant.
Haha. I don’t know
Thanks for watching.
Great project. Could tell it was extremely dry and hard.
Yes it was extremely dry and very hard. Most mesquite is very hard and you will not get the pretty ribbons of wood if of mesquite. You may if it was still green/wet. I personally haven’t turned any mesquite that was green/wet. I need to though just to see what it’s like. Thank you for watching.
Corndog, loving how this turned out.
Thank you so much. And thank you for entering. You can enter again by watching Ring Bowl Episode 21
Holy Corncob! What a beautiful woodgrain, but I bet that mesquite was hard on the chisels.
Thank you. And yes it was very hard. Probably last 1/2 inch of gouge. Thank you for watching.
Just found your channel, and I just have to comment your work. Amazing. Using coffee and resin was a great idea, and this burl wood is so beautiful. Anyway, I live in Sweden, so there's no use for me to participate in the giveaway, but I write corndog just to show you, I watched till the end. Warm hugs from Sweden.
Awe. Thank you so much.
Awe. Thank you so much.

Corndog. Absolutely gorgeous bowl. Mesquite is such a beautiful wood and even more so when it's mesquite burl!
You can never go wrong with mesquite. The grain (burl or not) is always so cool. Thank you and thank you for entering
Truly a beauty corndog. I'm a true lover of mesquite from wood smoking to fine furniture.
Thank you. I have always wanted a small saw mill to make some mesquite boards but never have ventured into that. Thanks for watching and entering.
That looked like a corn dog dance you were doing with the lathe! Beautiful bowl🌹. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much.
Corndog 👍🏻✊🏻
Thank you for entering.

If you're ever in the RGV area harlingen TX bring your chainsaw with you I have a mesquite burl for you and alot of ebony as well
Everybody loves a great hotdog!
I wasn't sure at first about the use of epoxy and coffee grounds, but it turned out great!!!
I was a little nervous about the coffee also. I have never mixed that much up together. I was afraid it would just fall apart.
That bowl looks a damned sight better than a corndog.
It always amazes me what a piece of wood that most people would burn, or let lay, can be turned into in the right hands.
I have been turning wood about 2 years now. Still real new to the trade. And I still get amazed out how some things turn out. I can’t take hardly any credit for the piece. It was all the wood. Thank you for watching and entering.
Corn dogs are great. But I don’t think they will smell the same as your shop😅. This is my first time watching your videos. The bowl turned out great.
Thank you so much and thank you for watching.
Corndog Mesquite wood always has such personality, I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Thank you and yes it would hold lots of corndogs but I don’t then you will ever see that bowl.
Thanks for your entry
Corndog is where it's at. Never seen a mesquite burl that large before. It's beautiful and beats it flavoring a smoker.
It was a pretty large piece. I wish I had 100 more of them. Thank you for watching and entering.
Another excellent woodturning. Loved the corndog bowl.
Thank you so much.
