The bowl is beautiful but I am worrying about the sound of your lathe.
Thank you! Second time the bearings are going bad within 3 years. Time to order a set. - Ed
Very beautiful bowl, just one question, have you checked out the bearings on your lathe lately, sounds like a bearing going bad with the ticking sound it is making
Thank you Michael! Yes the bearings are going out. Second time within 3 years. I need to order them. - Ed
@@WolfRidgeWoodworking that is just super sad that the bearings wear out so quickly, good luck with the replacement of them again
I am new to turning, that piece of mesquite was dry, not freshly cut correct?
I have read that green mesquite turns much easier but doesn't distort after it's dry, do you know if that's correct?
Anyway, I love the bowl, excellent work.
Thank you Robert! This piece was very dry and pretty hard. I have not turned green mesquite, but seeing how it cracks so easy, I'd be worried to turn it green, but that's just me. - Ed
