Who could imagine a worm infested piece of wood could turn out to be a gorgeous masterpiece. That bowl is very stunning. It is out of this world AMAZING!! Great job! Bravo!
Your ability to make JUST the right amount of resin to pour in amazes me. The drill clearing out the worm holes reminded me of some sort of arboreal dentist :)
Thank you very much JoAnn! I guess every time and get lucky !
oh and by the way... the whole project was a home run with all bases loaded and you are up to bring them in!! beautiful or out of the art world.......dude you crushed it!! thank you sir!! much respect

Beautiful, love the teal worm holes
Thank You Teresa
Oh, Doug! A definite thumbs up!👍
I was diggin' the shape and colors, then you put the sanding sealer on and those colors popped!😲😱🤯
What an absolutely gorgeous piece! It would be fun to drop a light source in it (like those little electric tea candles) to illuminate the turquoise! Not that the piece needs any help. It's beautiful as is!!!
If you can't tell, I love this one. Great job!!!👍😎✌️
Thank You , I will have to try it on one of the other two I am working on, this piece is on it's way to it's new home. that color sure did jump out and say HELLO didn't it
It is what it is - and that is sure pretty 🌟❤️🌟
Thank You , Hollow form I would guess

Thank you Thank you
Absolutely amazing and stunningly beautiful
Thanks again Kobie
That is really pretty Doug. Would look good on my shelf next to my books.
Thank You Jacquie,
I love wormy wood! I have turned wormy ash a lot over the years
Thanks agian Michael, I like it too I just don't get my hands on it very often
a lot of us enjoy watching the resin fly so i wouldn’t call it a waste, just call it good content! and that teal is really perfect for this piece, but i bet it’d look awesome swirled with some pearl black in a more resin dominant type project.
Thank You , I went through a few different colors before choosing Teal, I was more so looking at contrast, Yellow was a color I opted out of,
Another great turn Bud. Keep makin shavins!
Thanks Andy! Will do!
That reminds me SO much of the oak piece i used for the lid on my 1 yr! Almost the same blue! it made me swear I'd never do holey wood again. lol
Thank you Jen, you will too !
That turned (no pun intended) GREAT. I was thinking it would look really neat with a light in it. Just me though. Keep up the great work and I will keep watching. Thanks for having us in this part of your world
Thank you Sabin, I thought about a light in it also,
in my opinion, this is one of your best pieces in a long ass time! Bravo. Looks incredible. I'd pit a led ion it and take a pic of it in super low light or in the dark with only the led on.
Thank You Pharraoh, I will agree with you again but you wont understand till the next video !
I love it. The size, the shape, and the resin in the worm trails is just beautiful. I also like that your left that live edge at the top. I love it when those natural shapes are preserved.
Awesome, thank you Courtney!
Nice!! Loved the close-up camera work!
Thank You Monica, I need to back it up onto the handle so it's not blurry
Always fun watching you.. Mesquite is quite hard and tough with a specific gravity of .67-.83. That compares to hickory with sg .64 to .81. And desert ironwood with sg of .97 to 1.21. So the wood is tough on hands when chips fly out. Years ago wormy wood like this we just thru it into the wood stove for heat.. I have rescued so much with the advent of resin and color over the last 4-5 years.. I do do what you did here is use a dermel tool to grind out where worms have packed in behind where they have been.. I also like to grind out cracks in this way and fill with 5 minute colored resin.. Thanks.. It was fun watching..
Thank you Terry !!
@@PohlBarnProductions Doug keep going. Your projects are great and your face on all life is great.. You have no big ego at all and that is why I enjoy your video.. you are a Nice man to all.. Some here have huge egos.. You are beyond that.. just great guy.. thanks
