Hey! Rallysportdirect here thanks for working with us on this and love the content that these parts are going on. If any of you have questions or plan on placing a order feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist.
We use portable backpack versions of those dry ice blasters on our equipment at my work. I was kind of surprised at the results you had from the RX7. Happy to see a company try to make it right though!
@Smeedia Oh, they're awesome! Cleans 20 plus years of grease and grime off way easier than any cleaner could. Might be something for you to look into at some point. The results this time though looked amazing! It's definitely a step up from the FD.
Always a good night when tanner uploads, going to go check out a '12 sti sedan after work tomo, hopefully it goes well, aalso going to look at a brz at the same dealership as well for curiosity sake. What would i be looking for to see if it had a replaced block or heads? I kind of want to have my subaru dealership take a look at it as well
Haha the cross member bolts haven’t changed since 1985 lol. Since I put a 2004 sti subframe in my 85 rx and the nicest junk yard bolt pairs I could find and like a lego it fit.
@@Smeedia that’s why I drive a Subaru. Now someone just needs to wreck their perfectly goo ascent so I can buy it at an auction and swap it into my car lol. If the fa24 is the new sti motor then, the aftermarket should be going that direction I would assume.
For the front tophats, if you swap sides with the GD ones on a GC, they will be at like a 45 degree angle in the correct direction to give you a bunch of caster instead of just camber adjustment. That's how I run mine.
@Smeedia Ya just left to right with the GD ones. Its hard to explain, but because of the location of the 3 bolt holes versus the direction of the plate, the GD tophats turn into the perfect direction for caster when you use them on the GC on the opposite sides. I can send you a pic if you need it. (I actually have GD beatrush camber plates up front on my GC Fortune auto 500s)

Glad that you found a dry ice place, since you initially said they were few and pricey over there. Also nice that the shop has integrity and was willing to fix a negative customer experience. That laser shit looks so cool, I want one just to fuck around. Yeah, dry ice is mostly just a better substitute for degreaser and washing, I thought we were on the same page with that. I'm assuming there's been comments on it or something, or are you just being thorough explaining it? Fortune Autos are pretty nice, and I've been hard on BC for awhile even though they're kinda the same. I've kinda softened up on my opinion there. Feal is nice as well, I personally run Stance USA. Last time there was some confusion because other channels showed ice blasting newer cars. So the general consensus I saw was people expected parts to look brand new again. Bro, are you familiar with the (EJ)2.35? It’s been the holy grail engine build here in the UK for about as long as we’ve had Subaru’s. It’s an EJ22 crankcase machined to take a 79mm crank, stroking it to 2.35 (reports are “perfect balance of revs & torque”). I am sure you could find someone to closed deck & sleeve an EJ25’s cylinders down to EJ22 bore. RCM will have a stroker kit & have supplied EJ22 blocks in the past (I believe they’re becoming rare (expensive), hence my theory on converting an EJ25).
Not sure if you’ve sorted your motor or not, but that would level up the build & then some. Especially if it’s not common on that side of the pond (plus I want to see my theory about sleeving down an EJ25 to recreate an EJ22 played out 😂). Look up “Engine Tuner” on. Here, they have an 800hp 3 door 2.35 Impreza that drag raced on the “officially gasssed” channel.
