Hahaha omg you just brought out memories of my old 1995 WRX with the bass pumping. That car was a blast just cruising the streets didn't need anything else to do back then in that car. Was not the fastest out there or the most reliable but definitely alot of fun even with 5 guys packed in it ❤
Btw did you have headers on it as well. I put the 3.5 inch exhaust and header combo on and no one wanted to race just from the wild noise sounded like a WRC car haha

its probably 600 - 650hp , manufacturers always under sell performance, Gordon Murrays gm50 is claimed 660hp but that same cosworth v12 engine is used in some lmp1 looking race cars where it makes +800hp . its manufacturers trying to 1 up each other making sure their car performs the best in its class , that new 911 that does low 10's 1/4 mile is not 650hp like they say its probably 800hp ish , modern cars can tell when their on a dyno and activate a different engine map to hide extra hp . Jamie's own gut feeling dyno cant be fooled if hes saying its +600hp it will be +600..
People focusing on peak power numbers so much is silly anyway. Even if the number is true its only telling you what power the car makes at a specific RPM (obviously cars operate over a range of RPMS) and is not telling you what the throttle response and transient lag is like. Then other factors like weight, traction, drag coefficient, dynamic between the gearing and powerband, ect.

I don't understand the cost but I truly appreciate the capability of this pocket rocket. It is a sleeper street legal race car. The anti-lag is very impressive. Quality build but not extravagant or ostentatious. This car proves rather definitively that power to rate ratio rules the day. Great that ProDrive built it and can sell it for their price point. It is definitely a niche collector car. With this one at least being driven as intended. A true rarity in this day and age. Entertaining video!

id rather drive a 450hp car that actually has a nice power/torque-band and is responsive than a 1000hp one which is all or nothing and undrivable.
