Why did they swap out the factory air intake and put in a trans am intake, moved the battery to the other side, the opening shot shows how the ground effects don't fit properly???
Very nice! A buddy of mine owned a bone stock other than a Borla Stinger full cat-back with beautiful quad chrome exhaust tips... 1989 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350. I love how it said Formula 350 on each side of the car. I don't know if it was fully loaded, but it had leather seating and an automatic transmission. It only had one previous owner and 20k and change miles on it when he bought it from that first owner in 1999. Man, that car was very torquey and surprisingly quick with that 5.7 roaring with that awesome sounding Borla exhaust! He took great care of that car and finally sold it in 2012 or 2013. I'll have to ask him the year. I know it still had under 100k miles on it... About 90k miles on it, if I remember right? When he sold it, it looked and drove like new - exactly the way it did when he bought it. Selling it was a tough decision he still regrets to this day! Anyway, beautiful Iroc-Z with that same and amazing 5.7L 350ci V8! 👍
In 1988, 230 hp was a lot for a sports car. Now we have v6 minivan with 288 hp. 4:30 When you are inside the car and someone slam the rear hatch. You want to hit that person with a folding chair.
I loved these cars when I was a kid. Back then they were considered fast and fun. Today I have a 2021 Mazda6 Signature... front wheel drive, turbo 2.5L, 6 speed auto, 250hp, 320ftlb torque. It will kill this car 1/4 mile, 0-60, red light to red light, and on the twisty mountain roads. But Camaro's and Trans Am's were cool as hell for the times.
@@I95MuscleMAN IT'S NICE BUT IT IS MISSING THE BEST PART LOL T TOPS AND LOL I HAVE A 92 ANIVERSREY CAMERO Z28 THAT I ORDERED NEW BACK IN 92 AND I STILL HAVE IT TODAY AND IT IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH JUST 19 THOUSAND ORIGINAL MILES AND I PLAN ON NEVER SELLING IT AND I PLAN ON DOING A FULL EXHAUST AND HEADERS FOR THE SOUND AND SOME MORE POWER.
SOME DAY IN THE FUTURE I WANT A 91 0R 92 Z28 THAT I CAN MOD AND REALLY MAKE IT AS FAST AS THE CARS OF TODAY LOL I WILL SAY THIS WHAT THEY LACKED IN POWER THEY MAKE UP IN HOW THEY HANDLE ESPECIALLY WAY BACK IN 92.
No rear defrost, the button would be under the cigarette lighter, and it doesn't have power mirrors or power driver seat...odd package they left out a few options 🤔
I had a 1988 that looked exactly like that when i was 16! Brings back memories
This was my exact car. I loved that machine... even if it ate ECM chips like they were candy. This thing was an absolute animal.
The only car I would ever want or need, and the 305 tpi or 350 still quick
I would take that over ANY car on the road today. IROCs are fun to drive

Just the V8 sound... my goodness... what a melody....😍😍😍😍😍

WOW!

Very nice iroc-z👍👍👍👍
I bought a 88 in 93 stay about 5 or 6 years

Looks like Anchorage Alaska. Its very unusual to see cars of any vintage in that good of shape in AK but this is a fine one🙂
We're near a big military base which leads to registering in each and every state. Most of the cars never touch the states they have plates from.

The power windows run slow, that is normal. I purchased one brand new in 1988 and the windows are just slow and I think it’s because they’re so big.
Windows are slow because thats what they do after a while. I owned 3 third gens. I have never seen an intake like that tho. Aftermarket?
Someone said it was a Trans Am intake
Nice car

Stripper package
That's the base IROC Pkg. #1
Yep want that pkg #3 the most expensive one… hard too so it may have g92
Why dose it have a Trans Am Air Cleaner? It doesn’t have the correct Camaro Air Cleaner ?
Yes I saw that as well. The engine can not air as well.
I noticed that also, I have a 86 IROC Z the intake goes over the radiator
If still available- I am interested
Bro that IROC would smoke a T t ype. Don’t sleep
Incorrect Pontiac air intake assembly which is more restrictive than the original IROC-Z intake.
Factory fresh
What’s 15 minutes among friends 😁
holy shit
How much are you asking?

Sucks that there's a ding on the passenger door.
We all have our flaws.
@@I95Muscle no I agree, it's still a beautiful car!
that is an american muscle car!
i'd feel almost insulted if i saw this car in person and this car didn't smell like fried chicken and Aqua Velva with LL Cool J in the cassette deck
It's got a real Old Spice vibe to it
@@I95Muscle Old Spice, unlike Aqua Velva, has not fallen victim to the passage of time
The windows in these were not very fast even when new. It needs the rear louvers to complete the lock ( IMO )
The rear louvers were a $210 factory option back then..
I'd rather have an original than a modified one.
Lucky for you, we just got one! i95muscle.com/1989-chevrolet-camaro-iroc-z-z28-hope-mills-nc-28348/7241847
if it looks like it came out of the factory,, then be ready to spend alot of $
Air intake
Is this car. Stilll for sale??
This one is gone, but we have a white one with a red interior and 5 speed! i95muscle.com/1989-chevrolet-camaro-iroc-z-z28-hope-mills-nc-28348/7241847
UHH...Its' has a trans am air intake.
Poor shame that dent on the passenger door.
