The Glade Trail is another way to ski from Timberline down to Government Camp. Ride it as a couplet with the Alpine Trail.

I like how you've branched out from MTB content. I love it all. Thanks.

Sooo split board with skins is best for this kinda thing?

Yeah, but it's a gentle enough grade you could pretty much snowshoe all the way up to the lodge.

@@VoiceOverTrailReviews Well I’m interested in doing the back country thing. I’m from the North East and we didn’t have these kind of trails or conditions.
I snowboard when I’m doing downhill, but I skied for the first 6 years of my downhill experience. Split board seems fun for when you get to the nice distant powder.
Glad you kept doing videos through the pandemic, I started watching your stuff at the end of 2019.

@@kw2519 Awesome! I don't snowboard, so I can't comment on whether split board or skis are better, but I know that split boards have some quirks of their own. Between skiing and split boarding, you should choose the one that you're the most skilled at for descending. Thanks for watching!

@@VoiceOverTrailReviews It’s been a decade since I’ve skied, been boarding but took a break for a few years. So I’ll probably just rent the ski setup and then rent a split board.
Thanks for the content! I will be watching you videos on the Mtb stuff for this summer. Also planning on picking up something full suspension for downhill. Our ski mtns offer pathetic excuses for bike parks back East.

I’ve done this a ton on a regular snowboard, either hiking up on snowshoes, or simply heading back into Govy from a day at Timberline.
I haven’t needed poles or unstrapping when I’ve been careful to keep the speed up thru the flats. But you do have to watch out for them.
