- A few video clips from Bob Bolton with Innisfree and Wye Invader Two travelling from Sharpness to Portishead last weekend. Unfortunately, it's not possible to get all the footage taken until the non-essential travel ban is lifted!
Well... the soundscape calmed me down enough to keep me watching all that cold choppy water. You're a brave boater, that's for sure. Stay safe and healthy.

Question(s) - How long did the trip take and what wind speed/direction were you dealing with? Thanks for posting this video and any answers! Take care - be well.
Ross, 3 hours journey time, left at 06.45 and arrived Portishead 09.45. Tide was 8.5 metres at Sharpness, wind speed was 9 to 16mph from the NE. Total distance was 21 miles with an average speed of 8mph and max speed of 13.9mph between the two bridges, thanks for your interest.
@@WyeInvader Thank you for that information. One last question - Were you running on the outbound tidal flow? The mentioned mph between the bridges suggests to me a fairly stout outbound tidal flow. Or, am I missing something? Thank you - take care - be well!
